My thoughts are: Focus on the portion of the Akita message approved by the good bishop in 1973!

What we think about those things
not approved or not made known in 1973 should not preoccupy our minds and hearts. JoeJerk will use them to distract us and sow confusion.

You disagree with "every word" yet fail to correct my errors? Europe and the US are not the whole world, large parts of which have yet to be evangelised. The great apostasy leading to the second coming of Jesus will be worldwide. People who have never been evangelised cannot apostatise. Do you think it possible that it takes a very unChristian, superior, perhaps racist, mindset to conclude that because our countries have rejected the Gospel, God will decide that we comprise the full complement of Gentiles?

I don't see it the way you see it, Whatever.
Being that the message of La Salette was found in 1999 and Fr Yasuda second book was published in 2003 while St JPII was pope, followed by Pope Benedict. The La Salette prophesy never caused myself as a catholic, to questioned whether either of these 2 popes may have been the one spoken of in the La Salette prophesy.

I continue to pray that God bless Pope Francis with the blessings he needs, many blessings come in disguise. Take St Paul for instance, when he was persecuting the Church, he was finally blessed with falling off his horse and been struck blind, one of the greatest blessings the church received.

Thank you for (re-)posting this video. I am watching it in its entirety
When examining the Akita apparitions, the local Ordinary in charge, Bishop Ito, communicated closely with the long-term chaplain at Akita, Fr. Yasuda, the author of the book in question. This suggests that Bishop Ito was aware of the details of the messages. These details are nothing new, they are in line with the message of Fatima (also an approved apparition, with a sun-miracle witnessed by tens of thousands of people).

In any case, Bishop Ito also personally witnessed the weeping of the statue of Our Lady and Sr. Agnes Sasagawa's stigmata. Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger (later Pope Benedict), as Head of the Congregation Faith, confirmed the approval of Akita. He explicitly said he found the message essentially the same as the message of Fatima.

The weeping of the statue of Our Lady, which occurred 101 times, was witnessed by hundreds of people and even documented by Japanese television (TV Tokyo Channel 12). Some snippets of this are still available on YouTube, within an English documentary from the 1990ies. The tears of the statue were collected on cotton buds and examined. They were found to be human tears, but not from Sr. Agnes.

I can recommend Fr. Yasuda's book "Akita - The tears and message of Mary" (this one was translated into English, by John Haffert). It is available online, a link was recently published on this forum. This book contains an accurate and detailed account of the events in Akita, with a precise timeline and reference to evidence. It was published in 1987 in Japanese and in 1989 in English, with the approval of Bishop Sato, the successor of Bishop Ito in the local diocese of Niigata from 1985. The book describes how Bishop Ito himself was essentially the spiritual director of Sr. Agnes Sasagawa, alongside Fr. Yasuda, and how the Bishop approached the apparitions and miracles with great caution.

I have no doubt about the validity of the Akita apparitions, and consequently the messages.

    God bless!

I have no doubts whatsoever Akita is a valid and prophetic Marian event.

It beats with the pulse of our Lady's presence.

We must increase our rosaries as Akita warned of bishop Vs bishop and cardinal Vs cardinal. And we are there.

The world is not heading towards perdition in a spiritual sense we are in perdition. satan rules the nations.

Pray, pray, pray to lessen the chastisement. When you see fire falling from the sky you will know God hates the abomination of sin. It is abortion, divorce, sexual immorality, homosexual behaviour and marriage, pederasty and destruction of innocence that is going to call down the justice of God in an unprecedented chastisement of heat and fire that will purify the world of all its sin and ugliness.

The justice of God is righteous.

There's nothing in the message of Fatima about an anti-Christ or Judas Pope. There has been speculation about what Our Lady gave the children to understand about the vision which wasn't for public consumption bit it wasn't mentioned in the messages.

I didn't like that video by Elias Mary and, frankly, I think it was rather irresponsible of him to publish it. I gather from the video that has has had access to more than one translation of Fr. Yasuda's book. First of all he quoted something about the first and last Pope and then he said there was another translation that seemed to make more sense to him, Am I the only person here who thinks that the prudent approach, particularly for a priest, would have been to (1) to get a proper translation and (2) seek confirmation from the appropriate authority that what Fr. Yasuda wrote was actually known to Bishop Ito when he declared it worthy of belief? There is bound to be a written record of what Sr. Sasagawa told the Bishop before he gave his approval.

I can't tell what, exactly, Fr. Elias Mary believes Sr. Sasagawa was afraid of. Was she afraid to tell Bishop Ito the full message, in which case the Bishop wouldn't have had all the details when granting his approval? Did she tell the Bishop everything and was afraid that someone else would punish her? Did she tell the Bishop and did he tell her to not speak publicly about that part of the message? Did she tell the Bishop and did the Bishop convey all the details to Rome?

I'm also surprised that a priest (Fr. Yasuda in this case) would refer to Communion as a sign. The Eucharist isn't a "sign" left by Jesus. It is Jesus. I'm sorry if that seems like nit-picking to you but it grated on my ears. Actually, I was inclined towards the belief that the "sign" would be the cross in the sky as described by St. Faustina in the Divine Mercy messages. I'm fairly sure that some of the Early Church Fathers believed that there will be a period in the last days when the Eucharist will be unavailable to us.

I have never seen or heard of any Catholic belief that we would have a "Judas Pope" or AntiChrist Pope. I thought that attack on the papacy originated with the Reformation where first the Protestants called the reigning Pope the anti-Christ and when the world didn't end during his reign they broadened the definition to mean any incumbent of the Holy See. Isn't it accepted (Catholic) belief that the AC will be a secular world leader and the False Prophet will be one of our Bishops?

A statue weeping human tears isn't in itself proof of the supernatural. The bottom line for me is whether or not the appropriate Church authority had all the details before granting approval. Without such confirmation, we can't be sure that this revelation has Church approval. I'm sorry for causing friction and will give you all a break now.
