I cam across a video about Sodom and Gomorrah. At the 39 minute-mark, the commentator mentions "fire raining down from above".
Could fire be the purifying and renewing element of global punishment because God promised Noah that he would no longer punish the world with a flood?
Yes, and could the word "fire" used in that context be related to the "fire of His Love for men," a love that He will reveal by sending His merciful Warning (a purgative, purifying fire) to mankind, giving men a final opportunity t0 repent before the period of His Wrath/Justice?

I noticed a potential connection between Sodom possibly wiped out by fire from the sky and the message of Akita, in light of 'Fiducia supplicans'.
I believe it is a literal fire that was predicted in Akita. In the miracle of the sun on October 13, 1917, we were presented with a miracle that brings to mind a biblical miracle from the Old Testament. In contrast, the punishment for the disobedient world will be a punishment that will be very reminiscent of the destruction of Sodom in the Old Testament.
My hope is PNF’s interpretation. I’m sending a message from a seer who is receiving alleged messages from Jesus. This seer is very close to Fr Blount. 2/5/23 Destruction, Remain in the desolation of the solitude The time is at hand for the great destruction to fall upon the world. —(Is the great destruction the purge of fire Mary spoke to me about?) The great destruction is from Satan, and the purge of fire is from God. The purge of fire will reveal God's power, majesty, and holy wrath. “Desolation of solitude and remain in my sorrows,”stood out to me. We are entering our personal passion, as the Body of Christ. Try not to get off the cross. “ Those who try to save their lives, will lose them.” Abandon ourselves completely to the cauterizing, that needs to be accomplished in our souls. The crosses will become the fuel for the flame of love to grow in us. To live more perfectly in the Divine will. Solitude…. Wasn’t Jesus in solitude as His Passion approached? Just my own little reflection..
This word from whoever the seer is, really makes a lot of sense to me. I can relate to it as I have been thrown into a type of desolation of solitude. I lost my job due to covid vax mandates and have to rely on only Jesus for all temporal help. Jesus says to the seer.... My little one, finish My Path as I reveal it to you. The seer askes —How do I finish it, my Lord? Remain in the desolation of the solitude I am blessing you with. Remain in My sorrows, forgetting yourself so that your purification can be completed for God's glory. It is in and through this desolation that you will receive the power of the Holy Spirit to complete My Path. This is so powerful as it gives an answer to all the questions I have regarding the extreme sorrow I experience. I asked for Our Lady's sorrows years ago but the intensity I experience daily in prayer has had me wondering whether this sorrow is something that I can carry as well as whether it may not be what God wants. The seer then asks My Lord, do we prepare with food, etc.. for these difficult times? Jesus answers You can only be prepared by your attentiveness to My voice and the promptings of My Spirit. Excellent in your understanding. Thank you for sharing. My husband had lost his job for same reason. He is back now on temporary basis( if vac mandated again etc)
