PADRAIG'S DREAM ABOUT KIEV MENTIONED IN AN ARCHIVED SPIRIT DAILY

Someone quoted Archbishop Sheen on one of the other threads--from 1945. "The West wants Christ without the Cross." We see this played out over and over these days. I think the tough love messages are very scary and unpleasant to the "Christ without the Cross" Catholics. I see it in my own family. One young relative who was figuring out whether or not he was homosexual just gave a scornful laugh when I warned about it. He has (or had--maybe he has changed)no belief in free will or natural law. This whole sexual identity issue is the enemy's nuclear weapon. He is exploding families all over. Many parents accept it and go against the Church. I've seen it here in my circle of friends. The confusion in the hierarchy right now doesn't help. But back to your main point--people who have bought into the culture do not want to hear about mystical secrets of God's chastisement. Shaking my head.

 

The culture in ireland is so upside down.i thank god I missed it but out main show on tv the late late last night had a poor girl saying how it was to have an abortion and a poor man who practices homosexuality saying how great ireland is now that it accepts it.social media is lauding the show today

They did the same thing with Jesus.

They didn't like what He said or what He stood for and so they killed Him.

The problem is not when they hate us for what we stand for, the real problem would be if they liked us for it.
I think maybe we should expect to be disliked. Sometimes almost instantly. I have even noticed sometimes a change on peoples face; an expression of distaste when they notice I am wearing a Holy Medal, or make some comment that reveals I am a practising Catholic.

Having read Mark Mallet latest in which he says he has been inspired to move to a new location.

Just to share we are in the same boat. It was because someone asked us last summer if we would give them the first option on buying our home that we decided to move to a new location. The person who wanted to buy got fed up waiting and went and bought another property.

We were not in any hurry, and finally two weeks ago an agent phoned on spec and asked if we were interested in selling our home, to which I replied "yes"

It is as if the Lord is saying it is time to move, and we had not made any hurry, so the Lord gave us another push.

Please God the move will go quickly now that we are being chased to get on with it.

 

Praying that you will be blessed with an easy move Julia.

Did you ever notice, just before Our Lady appears there is a gentle breeze? That is the passing of the Holy Spirit. The gentle breeze, no fuss. Like the Lamb of God Himself.

 

Padraig, what a coincidence you should post the video and scripture quote about Elijah. I don't know if I posted, it turns out the parish we will be in has a Carmelite Parish Priest.

Secondly, a long time ago I read that there was a devotion centred around Elijah and Mount Carmel in existence during the lifetime of Mary the mother of Jesus, like a third order type devotion. It was devoted to pious practices from the time of Elijah and Mount Carmel. I read Blessed Mother had a devotion to those pious practises. Little did she know, one day she would be the Lady of Mount Carmel.

I was so touched when I read that. And if you ask me where did I read it. Sorry, can't remember. Sieve head Julia.

 

I would guess it was with Blessed Catherine Emmerich.

There seems to have been an unbroken Tradition of the Remnant Faithful going way back who knows when ?. So we had the Jews as a whole, but within the Chosen people we had a sect of believers who lived the fullness of the Faith. A kind of False Church (of its day) of say the Pharisees and the Sadducees along with a Faithful Remnant Church of the people of the Dead Sea Scrolls to which Catherine Emmerich refers. The Holy Family were of this Tradition.

We see this in modern times with a saint like Padre Pio who comes of the Faithful Remnant Tradition being persecuted by those of the False Church Tradition.

So we have a False Church and a True Church living together in the one building, so to speak, for thousands of years:

At the moment the False Church has taken over the Vatican and is in charge there:

This video is another reminder of how much we all need to join with Bishop Schneider in saying the prayer he has now written petitioning for restoration of our precious Faith. He even petitions for the Roman Catholic 'Holy Sacrifice of the Mass' to be preserved. After the Consecration of Russia to Immaculate Heart of Mary. This is his latest petition, and I have a gut feeling when God want's to fulfil a promise, he finds someone to inspire with the petition. I honestly believe Bishop Schneider is one such person. God bless him. Let us do as he asks.

O Immaculate Heart of Mary, Holy Mother of God, and our tender Mother, look upon the distress in which the whole of mankind is living due to the spread of materialism, godlessness, and the persecution of the Catholic Faith.

May Almighty God hasten the time when Russia will convert to Catholic unity, mankind will be given a time of peace, and the Church will be granted an authentic renewal in the purity of the Catholic Faith, the sacredness of divine worship, and the holiness of Christian life. O Mediatrix of all graces, O Queen of the Most Holy Rosary, and our sweet Mother, turn thine eyes of mercy towards us and graciously hear this our trusting prayer. Amen.
