Well there's no doubt we are diving into a dark tunnel, the only question being how long will it be and how bad will it get. I take it from Prophesy it will get very, very bad and last some while. I mean its not going to be brief.

Not unrelated to what you are saying, Father Kirby, today in The Catholic Thing, really hits the ball out of the park, as the saying goes:

I'm afraid that there's so much cognitive dissonance in the Church it will take Heaven's intervention to fix it. Fr. Kirby asks at what point we acknowledge that we've accommodated enough to the world. It seems to me that inventing a new kind of blessing for people refusing to commit to a firm purpose of amendment is a sign that we have already passed that point and bowed to the world. Instead of standing firm, we have embarked on a process of inventing procedures to enable clergy call moral cowardice Christian charity. At this stage we are deceiving ourselves, pretending to be united.

Here's more BS from Michael Lofton cheerleading for Cardinal Fernandez. I thought we couldn't sink lower than this. Then I look at how people like Lofton would welcome a Pope Fernandez. Thank God the Africans have found their voice. It must have scared the daylights out of the Fernandez for Pope crowd. Lofton will need a chest full of lipstick for this pig's litter

The (best) intention for Vatican II was that it would open up the doors and windows of the Church in order for the World to enter the Church. Conversely, most of the Church seems to have left to enter the World.
