Due to the fact that Mr. Juan Álvarez Seco was a Brigadier of the Civil Guard and head of the Puentenansa district (Cantabria, Spain) during the time of the apparitions, he is an extraordinary witness to all the events that took place in Garabandal. TIME, while in ecstasy In the course of this particular vision—according to the eyewitness report mentioned—Mary Cruz spent the whole time kneeling on a sharp wedge of stone some two inches thick, without any sign of pain or discomfort. When the time came to say goodbye, they blew kisses into the air and opened and shut their hands in that expressive little wave of farewell so common in small children. But, first, they pleaded with the Vision not to leave so soon. "An hour already . . . ? Noooo! Only a second . . . An hour an a quarter . . . ? Noooo! Just a short while . . But it must be, if you say so, 'cause you don't tell fibs." Conchita repeated the Virgin's words. "An hour and twenty-five minutes." Exactly the time the vision had lasted. Garabandal and the Holy Shroud of Turin NOVEMBER 4,1962 Only after Father Eusebio Garcia de Pesquera had written his comprehensive book on Garabandal, "SHE WENT IN HASTE TO THE MOUNTAIN", did it come to light that the Shroud was mentioned at Garabandal. It was during one of Conchita's ecstasies when the Blessed Virgin spoke to the visionary about the Sabana Santa (Spanish for Holy Shroud). Among the spectators at that ecstasy was the Marquesa de Santa Maria, an excellent witness, and it was from her that Prof. Jacques Serre learned what the Virgin said about the Shroud. August 4,1961 OUR BLESSED MOTHER'S VOICE IS HEARD ! Conchita recounts the the story in the book "Our Lady comes to Garabandal". She said " I was returning from the fields, we met my Godmother Maximina Gonzalez, she was very excited and said this to us "Do you know the voice of the Blessed Virgin has been heard on a tape recorder ?" " What did she say I asked ? " She replied " Loli and Jacinta asked her (The Blessed Virgin) "Speak, Please Speak" and the people heard an answer : " No, I wont speak " . My Godmother told me that people began to cry because they were very moved at having heard the Blessed Virgin's voice. The owner of the tape recorder (Angel Dominguez Borreguero, director of the Psychiatric Hospital of Salamanca) shouted, "I will send this to the pope!" Naturally the people wanted to hear the marvelous voice again so they played the tape again, but at the proper place they heard nothing. “SHE WENT IN HASTE TO THE MOUNTAIN" CHAPTER 7 on page 156. *Both myself and Fr. The Warning will not explained by science. Conchita: October, 1968 Q. We have heard that some say the Warning may be a natural phenomenon but will be used by God to speak to mankind. Is this true? A. SAINT MADRE MARAVILLAS OF JESUS, O.C.D. (1891-1974) This extraordinary Carmelite nun, who was beatified in 1998, less than 25 years after she died, founded the "Association of St. Teresa," with the purpose of restoring the rule of life of the original Constitutions of 1581, rigorously established by Teresa of Avila one year before her own death. Pope John Paul II beatified her on May 19, 1998.John Paul II approved her 2nd miracle on 23 April 2002 and canonized Maravillas on his apostolic visit to Spain in Columbus Plaza in Madrid on May 4 ,2003. Mother Maravillas "knew" that Garabandal was authentic. She even clearly shared her conviction with her spiritual daughters, assuring them that "the phenomena occurring at San Sebastian de Garabandal come from God!" St. Maravillas warned Bishop Puchol Montis on April 25, 1967 (one of the former Bishops of Santander ) that he would have a sudden death, which did happen as a result of an automobile accident on May 8,1967. MARTHE ROBIN (MARCH 13, 1902 - FEBRUARY 6, 1981) & Garabandal Marthe Robin was a French Roman Catholic mystic and stigmatist and foundress of the Foyers de charité association. Paralyzed since the age of twenty-seven, and also stigmatized, Marthe Robin would spend some fifty years of her life without sleep or food, nourishing herself uniquely with the Eucharistic Bread. “ Keep working for Garabandal without fearing what you have to suffer. Tell the 4 girls that I pray for them everyday”- Marthe Robin From 'Garabandal' Book, J. Serre, pages 228-229 Pope Francis declared her “ Venerable “ on Nov. 8,2014.The recognition of a person as “venerable” is one step in the process leading to canonization.
CRUCIFIX RISES BY ITSELF AFTER BEING DROPPED THE MUD ! & GIRLS DRY FROM WALKING IN THE RAIN ! With her eyes fixed straight above, Conchita stooped slightly and reached down about 50 centimeters (20 inches) from the ground. Then before the attentive and stupefied eyes of all of us who witnessed it, the crucifix came out of the mud by itself to the level of the girl's hand. She immediately grabbed it with both hands while remaining in ecstasy. Garabandal Girls speak other languages in ecstasy ! As he continued, Father Ramón Andreau brought out another very remarkable matter that occurred in the early ecstasies at Garabandal: “I myself have witnessed things that have given me reason to say that the girls spoke foreign languages while in their state of trance. Actually it isn't exactly that, at least not at the time I am writing these lines; the fact is that the girls have spoken words in other languages. I have heard the following . . . He (St. Michael) gives some words in French, in Latin, in German, and the beginning of the Hail Mary in Greek.) The most interesting thing is not that they spoke these words in ecstasy, but that they corrected themselves when they spoke them badly, so as to come to correct diction and pronunciation. They gave the impression that they were hearing the words from someone, one after the other, and that they were simply repeating them.” “ She Went in Haste to the Mountain” Ch..5 , page 107
Conchita raises a Scapular for St. Michael to kiss. In ecstasy, Conchita raises toward the Vision, the Scapular of a Brother of the order of St. John of God. The Garabandal Visionaries manifested great respect for the Religious who visited the Village. During the years of the apparitions, the Visionaries could always identify a priest. Even if he was in lay clothes and concealed his identity in other ways as well. In giving the girls this ability to recognize priests, Our Lady called attention to the Church’s belief concerning the sacramental “Character of the Priesthood, the indelible “mark” that the priest receives in ordination. “NEEDLES” magazine Winter issue 1973 , page 2
"Miracle Day" healings. The “Great Miracle” which Conchita mentions in her Diary is more fully discussed in the notes she gave Francisco Sanchez-Ventura, author of “The Apparitions of Garabandal:” “I am the only one to whom the Blessed Virgin spoke of the Miracle. She forbade me to say what it will consist of. I can’t announce the date either until eight days before it is due to occur. What I can reveal is that it will be visible to all those who are in the village and surrounding mountains; that the sick who are present will be cured and the incredulous will believe. It will be the greatest miracle that Jesus will have performed for the world. " Now I have been asked countless times “ Glenn, what about me if I can’t get to Garabandal for the Miracle ? “ All I can say I would continue to pray, especially on that day, because nothing is impossible for God, and there is no limit to His mercy and compassion. As Saint Padre Pio said “ Pray, hope, and don’t worry”.

Bishop: "No. The preceding Bishops never admitted that the apparitions were supernatural, but to condemn them, NO, that word was never used." The last Garabandal report sent to the Vatican. “The Vigil” magazine, June 1992 “Special Edition” , interview with then Bishop of Santandar, Bishop Del val Gallo Question: When did you decide to reopen the Garabandal study and who did it? How was it conducted and when was it completed? Answer: The study was finalized in April 1991 during a meeting we had in Madrid, but it was not opened on a specific date. It began six years earlier, in which several notes were taken about all the circumstances there. At the beginning we were doing little by little, so it took six to seven years until the process was completed. Until then, it had gone exactly as far as the other bishops had gone. They had said no, but personally I always thought I should do something else. I had to conduct a personal investigation, because responsibility required it. He had to do something because he felt that something very important and serious had happened in Garabandal. Because it was so serious, I had to try to find out what had really happened there myself. Question: What happened to the results of this investigation? Answer: The results were delivered to the Holy See, the Sacred Congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith. They were delivered to Cardinal Ratzinger. THIS IS STILL AN OPEN INVESTIGATION, AWAITING THE MIRACLE DATE.
Today being the Feast day of St. Joseph, reminded me a quick story about him at Garabandal. September 4, 1961: "ST. Joseph is the greatest Saint in Heaven!" "AH, ST. JOSEPH IS THE GREATEST SAINT IN HEAVEN!" Here are her words. - Glenn Hudson "God is detaching us from the securities of this world. In the silence of the Church or in our house, we are now able to make an examination of conscience so we can clean what prevents us from hearing the Voice of God clearly. With sincerity we can ask God to tell us what He wants of us today, and continue to do that every day.
