You might tell her/him to watch Fr. Mawdsley's videos on Luisa to see what he actually has to say. He has one where he explains his situation (it's also explained, in shorter form, in his online bio.) He was in the FSSP; he is now out of the order, but has not been laicized. Fr. Mawdsley also has open comments under his youtube videos. If you have additional questions, you can ask him directly.

His videos are posted here because they are the best available explanations of the problems with Luisa's Divine Will writings. As noted above, he is quite clear, careful to show and cite his sources. The English texts he uses come from pdf files posted on Daniel O'Connor's site. Fr. Mawdsley also checked both German and Italian versions to see if they were significantly different (which would point to translation problems). They weren't. What's more, Fr. Mawdsley does not have the emotional attachments that keep him from seeing things clearly. And he is well-educated and intelligent (seven years at FSSP seminary).

Finally, both the Dicastery for the Causes of the Saints and the national conference of Korean bishops have agreed there are grave theological issues with Luisa's writings, grave enough to suspend her cause. Since two separate Vatican departments have been investigating Luisa Piccarreta since 2005, it's not a conclusion reached lightly. It is unlikely the Vatican will change its mind. Fr.Mawdsley explains why.

I am glad you had a chance to speak your mind, AED. I hope members here take the time to watch Fr. Mawdsley's videos. There is going to be a lot back and forth online about Divine Will. But I believe anyone with an open mind will know the truth when they hear it.

BTW, Robert Nugent posted a video earlier today titled "The Time of Mercy is Coming to an End." He discusses the failure of the hierarchy to teach Catholics their faith, and the dangers priests, bishops and laity are ignoring. In my own opinion, God is allowing this to clear away all the corruption and sinfulness in the church and in the world. That would include false prophets, deluded followers and innocent victims of abuse.

Same here. Thank you again, very much. It's been a wild and wooly Lenten Season thus far. Like walking through a great field where unseen dangers are, and have been lurking, waiting to pounce. Gonna stick with my Rosary & Mass when I'm able. Tried, trusted and true.

How on earth do we read the vulgar portions mystically? I honestly tried that August years back when I first tried LP's meditations, blaming my sinfulness all the way for the rising revulsion within me. But Jesus took me away.

AED, don't have regrets. Some things need to be brought out into the open so we all have a chance to examine our hearts.
