I recommend this video and the book to which it relates regarding the continuing role of Judaism in God's plan for the world and Satan's determination to exterminate them so that they will not convert as prophesied.

For I would not have you ignorant, brethren, of this mystery, (lest you should be wise in your own conceits), that blindness in part has happened in Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles should come in. (Romans 11:25)

orthodox jews seem like very nice people, they always walk in family groups, or if alone in a sort of diligent, dignified manner. the kids are always happy and not sad.
there are 2 or 3 jewish neighborhoods in my city, so I've seen this.

I have seen the word ‘Zionism’ used pejoratively on the forum and have been amazed, in my view it is a compliment and I am happy to be a Zionist. Even a basic knowledge of the OT prophets and St. Paul’s epistles show that the Jews were never to be abandoned by God but will always be His ‘chosen’ and have a vital role in the end times. They worship the One, True God and await His (first) coming but will be surprised to find that it is His second but will joyfully accept it according to these sources.

The Jews did not rob a large population of innocent people of their peaceful and productive land and life in Israel. Mark Twain (who was not Jewish, barely Christian and totally unbiased in the matter) visited the Holy Land in 1867, before any Jewish immigration from Europe had occurred and discovered a land that he described as ‘rocky, uncultivated, rock strewn, dry, barren, treeless, almost grassless and populated by only a few Bedouins who were filthy, poverty stricken and disease ridden’ some of whom were ready to attack and rob the few Christians who ventured there on pilgrimage (see his book, ‘The Innocents Abroad’). The OT tells us that, having been driven from the land, the Jews would be gathered together near the end times and would return it to its original and productive state.

The arrival of the Jews over the years and decades following Twain’s visit resulted in the land becoming irrigated and productive with commercial life arising in new towns and villages. It was transformed into a land where trees and grass grew, where crops and fruit were harvested and farm animals could be supported to provide meat. The Jews needed labour which was supplied by Arabs who moved into the land from neighbouring areas to receive wages and enjoy a settled life.

The Ven. Mary of Jesus of Agreda in her work, ‘The Mystical City of God’, states that Satan decided, at the foot of the cross, to create Islam to destroy the Jewish and Christian religions and this is today the stated aim of Hamas and as decreed by the Q’ran. Very few Arabs living in or near the present state of Israel could possibly be the descendants of the original handful of nomadic Arabs who travelled through this and nearby lands, hopefully they are among the 2 million Arab citizens in Israel today who enjoy equal rights in the country.

Isn't the mass conversion of the Jews supposed to take place during the reign of the Antichrist, before the second coming of Christ? I'm not saying, I'm asking because I'm not sufficiently informed on the topic.

My eldest daughter was deeply influenced by the book. She heard Roy Shoemann speak at a Catholic youth summer school and he made a big impression on her. Apparently he had a vision of Our Lady at a time when he was searching for faith without knowing which religion was the true one.

With the blood of innocent Christians and Muslims from the ongoing genocide making the country unclean, added to their othrr violations of the "you will not" list in Leviticus, don't be surprised if the land vomits them out as it vomited out the nations who lived there before Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt.

I don't know, but perhaps a Christian revival will occur within Judaism during the reign of Antichrist. I find it interesting that the woman in Revelation 12 has the moon under her feet, which could symbolize the victory of the church against Islamic radicalism. In retrospect, this may have been partially accomplished at the Battle of Lepanto. What also caught my attention was the fact that the woman had 12 stars on her head, which could symbolize an active ministry of the 144,000 Jews from the 12 tribes of Israel for the conversion of part of the Jewish people.

    REVELATION 12

12 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars:

2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.

3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.

4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.

6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,

8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.

9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child.

14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.

16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.

    REVELATION 7

7 And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.

2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,

3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.

4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

5 Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand.

6 Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Nephthalim were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Manasses were sealed twelve thousand.

7 Of the tribe of Simeon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Levi were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Issachar were sealed twelve thousand.

8 Of the tribe of Zabulon were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand.

    9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.

11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,

12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.

13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?

14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.

16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.

17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

Based on the writings of Saint Paul, the future widespread conversion of the Jews is often considered as one of the great signs of the last times. If I am not mistaken, according to this belief, the new advent of Christ will not happen before this takes place.

The Arabs were told to move out of Israel at the time of the mass attack on Israel by the Arab nations at its founding in 1948 NOT by the Jews BUT BY THE ARAB NATIONS. The Arabs very unexpectedly lost that war (and the subsequent war in 1967). The Arabs who decided to remain in Israel were granted citizenship and full rights, those who fled were not absorbed by the several surrounding Arab nations to which they had been told to flee nor granted citizenship in those countries but have been kept in a perpetual refugee status by them. It is the Arab nations who employ apartheid in their dealings with their fellow Arabs.

Because of God's promise to return the land to the Jews near the end times, they cannot be defeated. They literally have God on their side (as demonstrated in 1948, 1967 and currently). I believe that Iran will attack them directly at some stage rather than through their proxies, Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis and that they will regret it bitterly.

The creation of the state of Israel has nothing to do with Catholic eschatology - the protestants believe that it does.

But St. Paul contradicts you. He says that we are grafted onto Israel, not separate from it nor is the Church a substitute for Israel which has its own special, promised role in the end times.

In Nostra Aetate the Church explicitly rejects replacement theology:

Nevertheless, God holds the Jews most dear for the sake of their Fathers; He does not repent of the gifts He makes or of the calls He issues. . . (4)

The Church rejects the idea that the covenant with Israel has been nullified or revoked.

The Old Testament is an indispensable part of Sacred Scripture. Its books are divinely inspired and retain a permanent value, for the Old Covenant has never been revoked. (Catechism, 121)

I opened this thread recommending a video and book by Roy Schoeman. He explains his case (which I accept) in detail with numerous OT and NT references especially to the prophets and to St. Paul. Please refer to those and we shall be on common ground in responding to each other.

At least you are now aware of Catholic teaching, i.e. it rejects 'replacement theology' which is your stated position.

I believe Schoeman is wrong in some of his theology.

The mosaic covenant has been revoked. So Jews cannot be saved by obeying the law of Moses. If a Catholic was to say the Mosaic covenant has not been revoked that is a heresy.

It is the Abrahamic covenant has not been revoked - this is the Old Covenant the Church speaks of.

    Here I quote Robert Sugenis.
'Abraham was given his initial call, his promise, and his justification when he was a Gentile, not a Jew. The whole thrust of St. Paul’s argument against the Jews’ supposed right to claim an exclusive covenant with God is that Abraham received his covenant with God before he was circumcised, that is, before he became a Jew (Rom 4:9-11).43 It is further stated that God chose the exact time to make the initial covenant with Abraham precisely so that Abraham could be the father of the Gentiles (Gal 3:6-8; Rom 4:11-12).44 It wasn’t until much later in his life that Abraham was circumcised so that he could also become the father of the Jews, who were chosen specifically at this time to produce the Christ. Once Christ came, the Jewish covenant of circumcision was abrogated, but not the covenant made with the whole world. As such, the “irrevocable covenant with Abraham” is not an exclusive covenant with the Jews, but a covenant for everyone in the world who wants a faith relationship with Abraham’s God, whether they were born Jew or Gentile. As John Paul II put it: “If the people of Israel were aware of a special bond with God, they also affirmed that there was a Covenant of the entire human race with him and that, also in the Covenant made with them, all peoples are called to salvation: ‘All the tribes of the earth shall bless themselves by you,’ God told Abraham.” This is precisely why Heb 11:39-40 says that when Abraham finally receives his promised land, faithful Christians, whether converted Jews or Gentiles, we will be there with him to claim it. Scripture tells us that the Abrahamic covenant has transitioned into and became the New Covenant in Jesus Christ'.

The Catholic Church is now the kingdom of Israel - consisting of Jews & Gentiles who are converted and baptised. “Thus the apostles were the seed of the new Israel and at the same time the origin of a sacred hierarchy” (Catechism of the Catholic Church, para. 551).

Those Jews that follow the Mosaic law reject that Jesus is the Messiah and the Son of God and cannot be saved unless they repent and are baptised. The Jews that reject Christ are rejecting the Logos and are indeed anti-Logos.

The Jews who reject Jesus Christ are anti-Logos
    John 8:39-59
The Jews replied to Jesus, “Abraham is our father.” Jesus told them, “If you were Abraham’s children, you would do what Abraham did. I am a man who has told you the truth that I heard from God. But now you want to kill me. Abraham wouldn’t have done that. You’re doing what your father does.” The Jews said to Jesus, “We’re not illegitimate children. God is our only Father.” Jesus told them, “If God were your Father, you would love me. After all, I’m here, and I came from God. I didn’t come on my own. Instead, God sent me. Why don’t you understand the language I use? Is it because you can’t understand the words I use? You come from your father, the devil, and you desire to do what your father wants you to do. The devil was a murderer from the beginning. He has never been truthful. He doesn’t know what the truth is. Whenever he tells a lie, he’s doing what comes naturally to him. He’s a liar and the father of lies. So you don’t believe me because I tell the truth. Can any of you convict me of committing a sin? If I’m telling the truth, why don’t you believe me?

The person who belongs to God understands what God says. You don’t understand because you don’t belong to God.” The Jews replied to Jesus, “Aren’t we right when we say that you’re a Samaritan and that you’re possessed by a demon?” Jesus answered, “I’m not possessed. I honor my Father, but you dishonor me. I don’t want my own glory. But there is someone who wants it, and he is the judge. I can guarantee this truth: Whoever obeys what I say will never see death.” The Jews told Jesus, “Now we know that you’re possessed by a demon. Abraham died, and so did the prophets, but you say, ‘Whoever does what I say will never taste death.’ Are you greater than our father Abraham, who died? The prophets have also died. Who do you think you are?” Jesus said, “If I bring glory to myself, my glory is nothing. My Father is the one who gives me glory, and you say that he is your God. Yet, you haven’t known him. However, I know him. If I would say that I didn’t know him, I would be a liar like all of you. But I do know him, and I do what he says. Your father Abraham was pleased to see that my day was coming. He saw it and was happy.” The Jews said to Jesus, “You’re not even fifty years old. How could you have seen Abraham?” Jesus told them, “I can guarantee this truth: Before Abraham was ever born, I am.” Then some of the Jews picked up stones to throw at Jesus. However, Jesus was concealed, and he left the temple courtyard.

Pope Pius X didn't share your enthusiasm for modern Zionism. He's a saint, so I reckon he wasn't anti-Semitic. Or maybe you think that the Church erred in canonising him?

Theodor Herzl's account of his meeting with Pope Pius X in 1904: https://ccjr.us/dialogika-resources/primary-texts-from-the-history-of-the-relationship/herzl1904

Note that Herzl told the Pope that the Zionists weren't asking for Jerusalem but only the secular lands in Palestine. No mention of "from the river to the sea" there. And even then the Pope's answer was an unequivocal "No". Political Zionism is not from God, and what's not from God can have only one other source.

Jesus didn't start a new religion. He fulfilled God's covenant with the Jews and established a new covenant whichmthe Jews rejected, severing themselves from the vine. That the Jews were God's first chiosen should be a humbling experience for them. Instead, the Zionists act like they are gods.

I was a big fan of Roy Shoeman - even contemplated joining one of his pilgrimages to the Holy Land. He dropped off my list of favourites when he inferred that Palestinians are some kind of non-people based on a passage from Sacred Scripture. One of Judge Napolitano's guests, when he wants to criticise the Ukrainians, says "You can take the man out of the Soviet but you can't take the Soviet out of the man". That could apply to people in all sorts of situations, e.g. Zionism, Colonialism and Imperialism. I'm sure that Roy didn't mean to imply that God favours the likes of Netanyahu over Baptised Christians like the two women Israeli snipers murdered in the Catholic church compound in Gaza or all the innocent children buried under the rubble of the Israeli genocidal attacks but that was the implication.

Palestinian Christians are attached to the vine yet you seem to find it acceptable thay they should be slaughtered like animals. I have a feeling that Jesus wouldn't have been pleased to see his adopted sisters murdered by his estranged kinsfolk,
