Bishop Kurt R. Burnette of the Byzantine Catholic Eparchy of Passaic, New Jersey (USA), is the second Eastern-rite Catholic bishop to formally reject gay blessings approved by Pope Francis.

In today’s world, people are demanding Catholic Liturgical blessings for junctions that are not sacramental unions, and in some cases, are even contrary to natural law. The scriptures foretold false teachers in the Church. The Holy Apostle Jude warned us, “Certain people have crept in unnoticed who long ago were designated for this condemnation, ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into sensuality and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ. … just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the surrounding cities, which likewise indulged in sexual immorality and pursued strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire … they are hidden reefs at your love feasts; they feast with you without fear, shepherds who feed only themselves. They are waterless clouds driven by the wind. They are like trees in autumn that are doubly dead, for they bear no fruit and are uprooted waves on an angry sea throwing up foam of shame. They are wandering stars for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever.”

Similarly the Holy Apostle Peter warns us, “There were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord who bought them. … For when they speak great pompous words of emptiness, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through lewdness, the ones who have actually escaped from those who live in error. While they promise them liberty, they themselves are slaves of corruption … For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the beginning. For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them.”

Those who criticize gay blessings are hypocrites, says the Pope

"The gravest sins," the Pope adds, "are those that disguise themselves with a more 'angelic' appearance. No one is scandalised if I give a blessing to an entrepreneur who perhaps exploits people: and this is a very serious sin. Whereas they are scandalised if I give it to a homosexual... This is hypocrisy! We must all respect each other. Everyone! The heart of the document is welcome."

In fact, what Francis is saying here is that those who reject gay blessings are hypocrites because their real concern as Catholics should be the issues between the proletariat and the patronage and and they should value homosexual welcome in the Church...

Very good article found in the Remnant:
The Remnant Newspaper - Francis is Gaslighting the World Into Thinking Christianity is a Hate Crime

But, the horror of this is that these people don't need a same sex couple blessing, they need SALVATION BLESSING. This is the real gaslighting.

This argument that he only blesses people who love each other could easily legitimize polygamy; after all, who could judge what goes on in the heads of each of the "spouses"?

"Luv" is a hippy concept. Wouldn't be long before paedophiles would be looking for blessings, after all they're attempting to legitimise their desires as being only part of a spectrum and thus differentiating these desires from their actions, which they will leave to a later date to legitimise, once the first step is achieved. For now, they "luv" children.

He may be whacky from possession maybe but it's pretty obvious that he has an agenda to destroy the Church.
This gaslighting towards good Catholics is just to make us look like evil people and it's working well.

In one of the Narnia books--I think its the Silver Chair the two children and this Marsh creature are captured and sent underground to this kingdom that duplicates in every way the world above ground on the land. Even an artificial sun. And they almost fall for it. They are almost lulled into buying into this false world when suddenly one of the children cries "No!" And plunges his hand into a brazier of fire to wake himself up. To break the spell through the terrible pain. The white witch fails. Her gaslighting is resisted. I must reread these books.

Russian Catholic bishops consider blessings for any couple in unusual circumstances unacceptable
    [IMG]

(Information kalika) The Russian Catholic bishops do not differ from the Orthodox in blessing couples living in sin and reject the content of Fiducia Supplicans. They confirmed this in a statement issued today.

In light of the misunderstandings surrounding the Declaration of Fiducia Supplicans, CCER feels it necessary to emphasize that Catholic teaching on the family and marriage remains unchanged. Only a man and a woman united in marriage, together with their children, are a family. The Church recognizes its special responsibility to support and strengthen marriage and the family as a privileged group and the primary unit of society (see CIC, 2002-2009). The Church blesses and surrounds marriage and family with pastoral care. In the spirit of evangelical charity and motherly love, the Church has not and does not refuse to intercede with people in every situation, asking for God’s grace to convert them, to strengthen goodwill, to initiate or continue the path of righteousness.
    They said:

In order to avoid temptation and confusion, CCER draws attention to the fact that the blessings of any type of couple who persist in an unregulated relationship (cohabiting, cohabiting, same-sex) are not acceptable.
    Absolutely no to Fiducia Supplicans

Despite attempts to disguise it, Fiducia Supplicans explicitly talks about the possibility of blessing couples and same-sex couples in abnormal situations in its introduction, and its third chapter is titled “Blessings for Couples and Same-Sex Couples in Abnormal Situations “.

Following the example of the vast majority of African bishops and other episcopal conferences (such as Belarus, the Netherlands Antilles, France, the Netherlands, etc.) and bishops around the world, the Russian Catholic bishops countered with facts the facts they were looking for. Citing cultural reasons is a poor excuse for their opposition. All expressed their rejection based on Scripture, tradition, and ecclesiastical authority. Many believers are becoming more and more aware that cultural reasons Rather, they exist among those who defend it.
