And Kathy K, Peter B, WCWTS, Jon, David. Don_D doesn't post much anymore either. Pity we can't bring them all back!
Marti used to send me emails from time to time. Wonderful woman. Amazing really, she seemed to know personally every famous mystic on the planet. An exemplar Catholic mother and grandmother. I miss her so much. The internet can be wonderful , but so very passing. I hope as events move on people will come together again and we'll meet each other once more. Hopefully in heaven we'll all meet face to face and have many, many stories to tell. No more tears..
....I'm sorry to hear that. I feel like a much older person when typing this (I'm 55) but my world seems to get smaller and smaller. I left FB after the election, and won't ever return. That was my choice, and yet even with all the FB "friends", I really only felt that a small handful were actual friends. And once off FB, you hear from no one, despite my own attempts. College friends have all drifted, but one, and childhood friends have drifted even further. Alas, I look to Heaven and pray we are brought home, soon. And, I'm glad others remain on this forum.
I think there are a small group who were here right from the beginning, which is quite a few years back. There are also many others who have been here for many years. I suspect this is very good for the internet, which tends to be here today, gone tomorrow. But I have also noticed the people here tend to be very, very devout, orthodox Catholics. The salt of the Earth or the Salt of the Church.
...I don't even recall how I found this site, or when. I know it was 7 or 10 years ago, maybe more? I started out on a Medjugorje forum, but people argued too much about silly things. So, another member told me he was starting a new page/site, and his last name was Christianson or something ( leaving his first name out for privacy, but maybe it doesnt matter). Then somehow, I ended up here. I guess what I really disliked about that first Medjugorje page, many FB pages and even...as I just discovered, an alumni page for my old Catholic college, is that I ( or anyone) can post the most harmless ( yet maybe with an opinion) post, and yet it draws comments from smart alecks who just want to argue. I have no patience for that. Well, Dolours was always very nice to me, As others here. I hope she returns.
I suspect things are going to change very, very radically, very, very soon. Events that will make the virus look like nothing. Then it will be roll the wagons into a circle time and many folks will be back.
I’d like to give a shout out to Carol55 and her working out of dates. She also alerted us to significant key moments. I do miss these discussions (even though I know prayer is more important than speculation.)
