Agree, I have two unbaptized grandchildren. So saddened by it.

I know how you feel AED about your granddaughter not being raised in the spirit of God. Several of my grandchildren are not baptized nor attend ANY church ...let alone Catholic!

I'm thinkin... I will baptize them myself (on the sly of course). I think that that it allowed by the Church when all else fails !?

I will check with my pastor first before doing so however..

I found them somewhere. They are particularly large.

Indeed. I tried wearing mine but it kept getting tangled up with my cross and my brown scapular during the night.

I got mine from The Mantle of Mary Project.

We had it blessed by a priest and put it into a photo frame and it's hanging up by the front door.

Regarding the unbaptised children. In Soviet times, the babushkas would secretly baptise their grandchildren. I believe Mikhail Gorbachev and his wife were both baptised in this way by grandmothers. One of my own grandchildren was not baptised. My eldest daughter told me privately that she intended to baptise her secretly on her next visit to that family, which she did. We live in evil times, and sometimes there's no easy answer. I can't say I tried to dissuade this :)

I had never heard of the purple scapular. But as Anne says, if Fr Ripperger is in favour, that's enough for me.
