When we pray the Rosary the Sorrowful, the Joyful , the Glorious , the Luminous Mysteries we understand that they are all one.

All our sorrows are joy. All the glories are Light. Every step we take up the Holy Mountain to Calvary leads us to to the Easter Dawn!

    Alleliua !

    AAlleuia!

    Alleluia!

She is my Confirmation saint. There was a beautiful marble statue of her in my parish church.

Thank you for the prayer ~ & better now but still don't know what it was/is. They ruled out many things though, so more tests to come.

I totally get this. While in the hospital and seeing the poor suffering people, both the sick as well as the poor staff, I was happy to be able to offer up some real suffering for all. There are no signs of God in our hospitals here any more, such as a Crucifix on a wall, which is sad. But He's still there.......

We become the Crucifix. We must all die. In Faith we Rise again.

To clarify, in my parish, there was a statue of St Francis Xavier and one of Mother Frances Xavier Cabrini. So the name I took was Francesca.

Prayers and offering up Mass this morning for all on the forum who are sick. At least Spring is coming so that should bring a lot of healing.
Prayers to Our Lady of Vladmir, I have a lovely big icon of her in my kitchen.

Well it looks like Our Lady of Vladamir pulled through for me as I woke up this morning much , much better. I hope everyone who reads this is feeling a little better too.

Feeling sick is such a strange thing, spending so much time in bed, sleeping, sleeping ,sleeping. The worse thing is the feeling that God is a zillion miles away. But prayer of course is not about feelings. Feelings are only the icing on the cake.

I think I found it hard not to have my day planned because of all the sleeping. Of kinda wasting away. For people who are sick all the time, they would I suppose have to develop their own spirituality.

A very heavy Cross. In times of sickness we have to hand over to God, not an easy thing to do.

I felt such a great, great hunger for God this afternoon when I walked out , the most beautiful cold, sunny afternoon. Like a knife through the heart like an empty hole in my chest. Nothing could fill it but God.

Who knows where and why such things come . They just do.

    Homesickness for heaven.

I’m out for a walk this afternoon. It’s 70 degrees Farenheit for us today. Unheard of in northern Indiana. Sun is shining and a bit windy. We live in a unique town with a circle in the center like a roundabout in Ireland. Surrounded by merchants buildings and traffic must stop to let pedestrians cross. There is a circle in the center called “The Mound” with statues of Civil War soldiers. A truck ran into it one night and damaged the corner. They say it will be thousands of dollars to repair it so nothing has been resolved yet. But on the southeast corner is a Satanic store that sells all kinds of crystals, tarot cards etc and waves the rainbow flag. On the middle of the east side of the street is the Masonic lodge. So I go around on the opposite side to the coffee cafe. But I pray fervently to St. Michael the archangel to thrust his sword in those two buildings and root them out of our town. Those demons don’t even hide in the shadows anymore. Lord, Deliver us from this ugly wart in our town.

When I was in my teens I stayed for a week in England , in the county of Sussex in the home counties. It was a little beautiful village called East Grinstead, right within an area know as the New Forest , very beautiful and old. This would be about 50 years ago. I was very surprised when I passed a small shop that sold articles of witchcraft, things like corn dollies, very, very old magic. As a centre piece there was an old decorative skull with a candle on top, a black candle. So I could tell it was serious black magic. It was rather like something out of a Harry Potter Book.

So long ago but the people I was staying with told me that there were stories of witchcraft in the area going back generations, as long as anyone could remember.

Regarding true Witchcraft/Satanism Father Ripperger said something that is full of common sense. That is that people who are really involved in the Dark Arts stay secret and hidden in the background. Why ? Because the Dark Arts require sacrifice which involve killing animals and people and this involves them in crimes like murder which could put them in prison for the rest of their lives or even involve the Death Penalty. So of course they stay in the background.
He pointed out something else, that it is very often the people whom you would least suspect who are involved. People like priests, Judges, Doctors and so on.

Father Hardon one time said he was contacted by a large circle of Satanists one time who were entirely composed of men who had left the priesthood.

Interesting because there were a lot of old Indians in this area. About fifteen miles from us are the burial mounds of paleo Indians that date back to 4000 BC. I have visited the mounds they are out in the country next to a stream. There is a historical marker. I have a collection of archaic arrowheads we found in a field where we used to live just north of here. They rooted out the paleo culture and then the Potowatamies rooted them out. They called them the ‘old Indians’. Probably ritual sacrifice was involved. The next time we get over that way I will take some Holy Water and Blessed Salt and sprinkle the ground. We could use that on our whole country actually. I was praying really hard today though, will see if my prayers get answered.

A beautiful sunny day today, like the first day of Spring. I wondered up to Belfast Castle and say on a log in the woods watching the world go bye.

On the way back I called into Church. A young Polish Seminarian, who is due to be ordained shortly, was playing the organ and singing Gregorian chant softly. We were alone in the Church. I sat listening and praying ; heaven.

I told Our Lord how much I had been looking forward to pay Him this visit. He told me He knew I was coming and was looking forward to my visit much more than I did. This cheered me up.

The dog was tied up outside and so I could only stay a while. But I had already said two rosaries on the walk.

Just a tiny visit to a Church; but it meant so much to me.

Thomas Gray, ‘Elegy Written in a Country Churchyard’.

The curfew tolls the knell of parting day,
The lowing herd wind slowly o’er the lea,
The plowman homeward plods his weary way,
And leaves the world to darkness and to me.

Now fades the glimm’ring landscape on the sight,
And all the air a solemn stillness holds,
Save where the beetle wheels his droning flight,
And drowsy tinklings lull the distant folds …
