Thank you for your prayers. My kids are slowly improving. We visited the monks at Clear Creek Abbey last night and today, staying in a cabin they built on the Abbey grounds. It was truly beautiful. My 3 year old, who a couple months ago told me out of the blue that he's going to be a monk when he grows up, was sitting sleepily in my husband's lap by the fire last night. Breaking the silence, he said, "Jesus is here. When I go away from home, Jesus is going to tell me to come here, because He is here."
Wow I would move there. It’s Holy Ground! Out of the mouths of babes. QUOTE="PurpleFlower, post: 442893, member: 7219"]Thank you for your prayers. My kids are slowly improving. Tomorrow is our last day of the trip. We really enjoyed our visit to the seminary. My son and brother both felt called there and are looking forward to hopefully one day being accepted. My brother decided to no longer delay and go ahead and apply this year. My favorite place so far has been the Carmelite monastery, where I spent about an hour with the sleeping baby praying along silently as the nuns prayed behind the bars. It was the most peaceful and meaningful part of the trip for me. As far as whether we should move to Nebraska...My husband and I both did not feel that call. We both believe we should stay at our current parish that we love so much. We will probably put our home in the country up for sale soon unless God intervenes. Please pray for my 3 year old, August, who is still sick and has refused almost all food for a week. He has lost weight and it is killing me that I can't seem to get him to eat no matter what I do. Thank you.
Let’s hope I can get to Adoration tomorrow to pray for your son and all of you. We just got home from Hospital and doc said biopsy looked good.
Thank you all so much for your prayers. August actually ate some dinner and snacks tonight! I am so relieved!
Praying Mass and rosary for little August in a few minutes, just on my way out the door to Church. I love hearing of prayer requests being answered on the forum it gives me far great confidence to pray for more.
