A few months ago, my brother planned a trip to Nebraska for him and my family. He and my son want to tour the FSSP seminary since they want to be priests there, and as we've struggled to afford the home we had built here in the country, we've spent much time praying about possibly relocating to somewhere cheaper, where we could live in a small town but still be very close to an FSSP parish and work for my husband. So we will be exploring the area around Lincoln and Omaha, attending Mass every day, and trying to discern God's Will. That trip is coming up tomorrow. Problem is, all four of my children just fell sick within the last couple days with high fevers. I'm begging for prayers that they can recover quickly for this trip, and that my husband and I will stay healthy, at least until we come back home! And also that we'll hear and follow God's Will.
A friend of mine had a fever the other day and it was gone in a day. Your move sounds like us! We went from southern Mich to upper peninsula for five years. Then to south Alabama for three years: house was way too expensive. Too hot and too humid. Moved back to upper Indiana and very happy. I said we are like the three bears: too hot, too cold, Just Right!
Praying all goes well PF. If its any solace, your plans are upsetting the evil one who is throwing a fit. Peace.
Thanks! Yeah we were thinking one big move and stay there forever...but now we're realizing God's plan for us might mean some more moving forward!
Prayers to Our Lady; Health of the Sick. 'We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick, who at the cross took part in Jesus' pain, keeping your faith firm. You, Salvation of the Roman People, know what we need, and we are sure you will provide so that, as in Cana of Galilee, we may return to joy and to feasting after this time of trial.'
What an interesting wonderful family. It would make a great film. Perhaps God has His angels recording.
