Praying now. I'm going up to confession shortly and so will pray in Church. You have a kind and compassionate heart to be so concerned.
Dear Garbandal/Bobbie I have prayed one Hail Mary said slowly for your friend and have added her to my daily Rosary. May Gods Will be done. His Will is that we attain heaven to be with Him who loves us so much. Recently an understanding of the humble prayer of the Hail Mary struck me. Firstly; Gods Love for the Most Holy Virgin Mary is unfathomable. (how could it not be! She bore God in His humanity, she gave Him her blood, her love, her self, she suffered with Him, she offered Him in union with God the Father and God the Holy Spirit to atone for our sins) She is Particular! Secondly; God the Most "Blessed Trinity" ordained from all time that the most spotless human being the "Blessed Virgin Mary".....Be the Most Beloved daughter of the Eternal Father , the Most Beloved Mother of the Eternal Son and the most beloved spouse of the Eternal Holy Spirit. She is particular! Thirdly; God gives us His Divine self in the Most Holy Eucharist while also on the same day He gives us His most Glorious and precious creation to be our Mother. She is particular God wants His Immaculate Mother Mary honoured and elevated in the world. God ordained this even in sacred scripture and the magisterium of His one Holy Catholic and apostolic Church recognise Our Lady's pre-eminence We read in scripture that God sent Archangel Gabriel to announce His word to the most Holy Virgin Mary..... "Hail Full of Grace the Lord is with You" St Gabriel explains Gods designs and the most Holy Virgin Mary gives her fiat! However, St Gabriel gives Our most Holy Mother more intimate information regarding her cousin Elizabeth who is six months with child. The Gospels tell us that Mary hastens to Elizabeth's home and historians tell us this would have taken three days by foot. Our Lady hastens to do the work of a servant, to assist her elderly cousin. What is amazing is St Elizabeth's greeting to Our Lady. This greeting of St Elizabeth is "Blessed are you among women and Blessed is the fruit of thy womb" Believe this or not this above prayer is the most prayed prayer that God has willed from eternity!!! God ordained, that St Elizabeth's word in scripture not only confirm the angelic archangel St Gabriel salutation to Our lady but affirm this truth The Ave Maria/Hail Mail is the the most prayed prayer of all Christendom of all time! Our Loving God wills the recitation of the Hail Mary. For it praises to His name. Adores his Person Acknowledges our sinfulness requests His Mercy And gives Honour to His Blessed Mother The Hail Mary Hail Mary, Full of Grace, The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now, and at the hour of our death. Amen. 'Beginning with Mary's unique cooperation with the working of the Holy Spirit, the Churches developed their prayer to the holy Mother of God, centering it on the Person of Christ manifested in His mysteries. In countless hymns and antiphons expressing this prayer, two movements usually alternate with one another: the first 'magnifies' the Lord for the 'great things' He did for His lowly servant and through her for all human beings. The second entrusts the supplications and praises of the children of God to the Mother of Jesus, because she now knows the humanity which, in her, the Son of God espoused. It has the sound of pancreatic cancer which shows itself late in the game. My son-in-law's grandpa recently went into his doctor. The initial diagnosis proved secondary; he has pancreatic cancer with a prognosis of three months to live. Praise God he is a faithful Catholic. When Geralyn and I would join Johnny's family reunions, his Grandpa would almost always engage me in discussions about the Faith. What an example for the family to follow. I learn much from him, his example and that of his wife! I am still praying, garabandal! Lord have Mercy! O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee!
