Julia- in your time of grief, it is so kind and loving of you to bring forum members to the Holy Mass. the 23rd is my daughters birthday- she is in a great struggle right now in so many ways. So, I’m grateful that you will be bringing this struggles which is painful to me to the Mass. I know that in these crosses Christ is present. And it is only through the crosses that resurrection will happen. I will remember Sean on the 23rd when I go to Mass here. And you may have already seen, but here is the gospel reading of March 5th that will be read today. How beautiful and comforting to read that Christ comes for the sick and sinners. It’s a Good News. Peace. Jesus saw a tax collector named Levi sitting at the customs post. He said to him, “Follow me.” And leaving everything behind, he got up and followed him. Then Levi gave a great banquet for him in his house, and a large crowd of tax collectors and others were at table with them. The Pharisees and their scribes complained to his disciples, saying, “Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?” Jesus said to them in reply, “Those who are healthy do not need a physician, but the sick do. I have not come to call the righteous to repentance but sinners.”
Dear Julia, I’m not surprise that you are mindful that the readings for those attending Seans funeral may benefit a lost or lukewarm soul. Many that have lost faith only attend church for a wedding or funeral. I hope that Sean’s funeral will be that spark to reignite that flame of faith for someone you love. Please know that this community here is thinking about you and I pray that in the days ahead, God gives you His grace, peace and love. Thank you for remembering us in your time of grief Julia. God bless and keep you in His loving care.
Thank you for remembering us Julia. I will be praying for Sean's soul, for you, and your family on March 23. God bless you.
Julia, as usual your holy sweetness is apparent in how you are carrying your cross. Thank you for your witness.
It is so good to hear from you Julia. Thank you so much for the prayers. You remain in my prayers as well.
