Really wonderful. The best account of a Near Death Experience I have ever heard. Kind of frightening though.
Wow, unbelievable descriptions of the Holy Spirit! I love the image of God cradling our souls in his hands and His presence ever with us. Thank you for posting this, Padraig.
Often with NDE descriptions they have too much pink clouds , perfumes and smiles for my taste. I like the ones that paint the darker side as well as the Light. His description of Hell was the most powerful I have ever heard. People these days need a good solid shaking. Videos like this may well do it. God is very, very merciful. Padre Pio on numerous occasions assured relatives of people like atheists that God had forgiven them and they got into heaven. God is very, very merciful. https://www.churchpop.com/5-saints-who-had-terrifying-visions-of-hell/ “We saw, as it were, a vast sea of fire. Plunged in this fire, we saw the demons and the souls [of the damned]. “The latter were like transparent burning embers, all blackened or burnished bronze, having human forms. They were floating about in that conflagration, now raised into the air by the flames which issued from within themselves, together with great clouds of smoke. Now they fell back on every side like sparks in huge fires, without weight or equilibrium, amid shrieks and groans of pain and despair, which horrified us and made us tremble with fright (it must have been this sight which caused me to cry out, as people say they heard me). “The demons were distinguished [from the souls of the damned] by their terrifying and repellent likeness to frightful and unknown animals, black and transparent like burning coals.”
I also loved his remark that he could not believe the immense pride of the devil even attempting to conquer the power of God. It’s like Mr. Jozsa was saying that he lost all fear and respect for the fact that the devil was an intellectually superior being but compared to God, he was nothing. I used to have a confessor who advised me not to give the devil too much truck.
I commented on the video on YouTube with the report numbers from the Indiana State Police's website, I don't have legal reason to request them but Lifesite does. I hope they at least look into whether he was helicoptered out, etc.
I wonder if this is the same guy, looks like an ambulance chasing lawsuit. https://law.justia.com/cases/pennsylvania/supreme-court/1987/364-pa-super-469-1.html
There is a genuineness to this testimony that makes most of the others pale. A touch of redemptive suffering. The contrast between the sphere of light (Holy Spirit) and the Room of Pain (Outer Darkness) is alarming. It makes me feel so many of the other claimed Life-after-Death experiences pale in contrast. What remains? 1Cor 13:13 So there abide faith, hope, and charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
I wasn't saying that it was the accident in question but that it was probably the same guy. I suspect him of being a scammer and it looks like he's previously been involved in frivolous medical malpractice litigation.
The internet is the wild west no question. I would assume they vetted him but maybe not. Very sad if what you suggest turns out to be true.
This is not the same person. His wife’s name is Amy, not Josephine. Plus, he was a teenager in the 80s, so it could not have been him. Might have been his father, as it looks like he is Ed Jr.
Which part do you think is a scam? It can be verified that he was a pilot, has 3 children, lives in Indiana, and was in the car accident and suffers chronic pain…..I found verification of all of that. Do you think he is making up the NDE?
It's like being Sherlock Holmes. I had forgotten how much we can do with the internet. I must try and have another look with Google, seems like fun. As someone mentioned I would be very surprised if Life Site had not done some basic checks, they are a big organisation. I notice at the start of the video a big billboard that seems to advertise his talks, So I assume he has been going about (maybe Parishes) giving talks? Maybe another good place to check? It's fun checking stuff. It should not be hard to find out a lot more. If he were false I suspect there would be others looking.
I might be a little careful of calling out someone as telling lies in public spaces unless I were really, really, really sure it might not only offend against Charity but , in these circumstance might be legally actionable. If you were suggesting it was all false publically I would be careful of my choice of words in case he takes it badly and it comes down to a Court Case and be sure you have all your ducks well in a row as far as evidence is concerned.
