Today former head of Hamas and one of the founding members, Khaled Meshaal, called for every Muslim to form and join protests on Friday next and specifically for Muslims in those countries bordering Israel the hint/instruction 'you know what to do'. Which is presumably intended to provoke mass border crossings into Israel and so a bloodbath. The date chosen by this person is this coming Friday, 13th October, the anniversary of the Fatima apparition and one anticipated with some apprehension by many Catholics expecting some kind of punishment for the Synod. Is the October 13 Chastisement coming? It's worth reminding ourselves that Hamas was founded specifically to eradicate Israel and empty it of Jews by any and all means. The fact that the people of Gaza voted for Hamas meant that the Israelis banned cross-border movement (previously permitted). When your next door neighbour swears to burn down your house and murder you, it leaves little room for 'accompaniment'.

I cried watching accounts of the massacre and butchery of Israelis by Hamas militants. The accounts by parents in a terrible state over their dead or missing children. It was heart rending. But as garabandal said, two wrongs don't make a right. That is true. But I think the retribution by the IDF has been more than enough. All sides need to lay down their arms now. Many believe that the payment of such ransom to belligerent regimes increases the likelihood of a rogue state continuing to take hostages and hold them in Iranian prisons. I am worried about Friday. If militant islamists launched attacks in our towns and cities we are completely unprotected. We have had a huge influx of refugees of unknown origin into our country. My local little town has a population of 800 people and we have had 400 refugees brought in in the past year. I know a few who are Ukrainian and they are good people. There are a lot of single men who we have no idea about. It's a scary feeling
Up at 5.30 this morn on way to work. The stars were magnificent. The morning star was really ablaze, so bright. The moon veiled in shadow with the crescent pointed down shining out. You were unlucky and just missed the Draconid meteor shower which occurs every year at this time. The skies are perfect to see them.
Hamas is in receipt annually of millions (billions?) of dollars in aid, it is one of the world's largest recipients per head of aid. It has not used one dollar of this aid to build civilian bomb shelters and although they have an extensive underground tunnel network, this is not offered for civilian protection. Much of the aid is clearly spent on arms. In addition Hamas intentionally position their control centres and top personnel in the midst of civilian areas which has two purposes: 1. To discourage Israel from attacking the most valuable targets and 2. If they do, to be able to claim large numbers of civilian casualties and 'prove' the cruelty of the Israeli government. Israel are in a lose/lose situation and Hamas is clearly cynically using their own people as human shields.

Does anyone remember an ex-Muslim who gave an interview on a Christian program and said that one of the biblical names of the antichrist was “the Assyrian"? Much of the Middle East will look like the ashes of post-World War I Germany after a regional escalation.
I am advising my loved ones to stay away from large gatherings on Friday and the weekend. To be vigilant wherever they go, but of course that's advice for every day.
