I like to think I am nolonger arrogant, a new creation in Christ, but I guess I am more of a work in progress - hence I delved in without even so much as a hello. To tell you the truth I know you all better than you know yourselves .... only joking! Having been a lurker for 5 years I kinda think I earned my stripes. However, I know the only stripes worth talking about are those of Jesus Christ by which we are healed. When I joined I remained dormant for a long time. Thanking Padraig and all of you for this forum which has been so important in my faith formation. Without it I might not have survived after I suffered a number of crises in my life. By the grace of God I am coping and am able to offer my sufferings to God. I am consecrated to Jesus through Mary and I rely on her to keep me on the narrow path which we all thread. My name comes from St. John Henry Newman's epitath: Ex umbris et imaginibus in veritatem (Out from shadows and images into the Truth ) I like to think I am a truth seeker since Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. And isn't it nice that we've been offered the water that Jesus gives! .. whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life. (John 4:14)

It reminds me of John's Gospel: ..the Spirit of Truth who issues from the Father, He will be my witness, and you too will be witnesses .. (John 15:26 . 27) .. but when you grow old you will stretch out your hands, and somebody else will put a belt around you and take you where you would rather not go. (John 21:18) Teach me your paths, my God, make me walk in your truth. (Ps 24:4 .5)
