Prayerfully considering but I confess I'm a chicken when suffering is mentioned. Pray for me

I'm so glad I came across this thread, I hadn't seen it before so thanks to everyone who has bumped it!

Like others, I hesitated when I first read through the offering prayer. Figured I'd pray about it and see. Also like others have said, my biggest fear was the potential suffering that would ensue. But then I scrolled down a bit further and read this:

Then I heard Jesus addressing me: “My child, if someone performs the life offering only once – do you understand, only once, once in an elevated moment of grace, when in his soul the flame of heroic offering will be lit – this soul has determined his whole life even if he never thinks about it again. He will be the property of the most Holy Hearts. Time does not exist before My Father. He sees the life of a person in its wholeness. Even if someone has made some other offering before, this life offering will include everything, and it is above all. This will be the crown, the most beautiful adornment, for that soul. This will determine the place and rank of nobility of this soul in the eternal kingdom!”

Once I read that I knew in my heart I had nothing to fear and everything to gain, so I immediately scrolled back up and prayed the prayer in front of an image of the Two Hearts, statue of Our Lady and crucifix that we have in our living room.

    Beautiful!

This sounds authentic and beautiful! I have for many years renewed my consecration to Mary daily.

I am hopeful that Mary has added those that consecrate to her daily, to the promises she gives to these privileged souls!

Oh Mother Mary, Virgin conceived without sin, who suffered for us, pray for us who have recourse to Thee; and also to those that do not have recourse to thee. Amen

I am so grateful for the Bumped thread. I made this offering when Xavier first posted it--after prayer and reflection. In the last year I had totally forgotten. What a comfort to remember I did it. And to reread my post back then. I needed to be reminded that "Our Lady's got this"

I am comforted by Our Lady saying not to ask for sufferings but to lovingly accept all the Father sends us. The willing acceptance is part of the sacrifice.

Thanks, all, for bumping this and the reminder. Even I forgot about this for a while! Rereading it, I see the Promise: "If the number of those who offer their lives were multiplied, this would shorten the time of waiting for the promised victory and the peace that will follow it."

And so, not only does it bring us Personal Graces, but also Great Graces for the Church as a whole, if a Sufficient Number offer their lives. This Life Offering is a Great Blessing, and it reminds us to frequently go to Mass and receive Holy Communion, one of the main or only things Our Lady asks:

"Mary, our Heavenly Mother, implores those who receive Holy Communion daily, or at least weekly, to offer their lives for the greater glory of God and the salvation of souls, that the souls of sinners may not be damned but receive, at least at their last hour, the graces of eternal life."

So seeing this bumped thread was “literally” an answer to my tearful prayers yesterday.
I have 2 sons. My younger son, is a Sacristan at our Church and we were getting ready to go to 5:00 Mass.
I asked my older (college-aged) 22 yr-old son of he was coming. Mind you, he went to Catholic school from K-12th grade. He was an altar boy and a sacristan. He goes to a Catholic college (means nothing these days). He went on to tell me that he doesn’t want to go. He thinks the “Church” is not what he believes in now.
I kept my calm and had an adult to adult conversation with him about our faith. I asked him if he believes there is evil and the devil. Because the number one goal of the devil is to take young people like yourself away from the Church. Nothing is perfect in our world now cause the devil has reign over much…but we need to hold on to our Catholic Faith with everything we have cause that’s is what will save us.
Needless to say, he had his heels dug. So we went to Mass without him. I prayed fervently to Jesus at Mass (at Consecration) for him. I asked for the intercession from our Blessed Mother, St Michael, St Therese and St Joseph. When I got home and settled in, I read your bumped post!!!!! I read it with such a deep soulful holy feeling in my heart and soul…and I made the offering in a deliberate reverent way knowing what I am doing. At this point of the state of the world and the diminishing faith of many, I want to do whatever I can as a faithful Catholic woman especially for my family.
So, it was an answer to my plea yesterday!

this morning, my son came to me and said, “ I was thinking about what we spoke about yesterday….and I want to go to Mass with you before I go back to college.”!!!!!

    Jesus, I trust in You!!!

Adoremus, it’s the battle many of us parents are facing in this crazy fallen world, which is the worst it’s ever been.
I am happy about my son coming to me this morning saying he wants to go with me to Church….but I know the battle continues for the faith of many especially our youth and that includes my children.
As Father Ripperger said in his latest talk, it will take a direct Intervention from God at this point.
We who are strong in faith (remnant) need to offer whatever we can. If I wasn’t faithful and prayerful, I would be quite depressed with the state of things. But I know Jesus, our King of Kings has this!

Yes. Exactly. Faith in these dark days is a tremendous gift. It accompanies hope which helps us to love through the darkness. Our Lady is with us. She knows our hearts and I do believe in a sense she suffers with us. I always beg for the grace to love as she loves and to hope with her hope and to believe with her faith

I made this offering many years ago and renew it whenever it is brought back to my attention. So I renewed it today and my father, who is terminal, wanted me to print him a copy. He will make it too and I think so will my mother. It's such a magnificent prayer. I'm so joyful. And if everyone could keep my parents and family in your prayers I would appreciate it. Thanks.

  16. I am so thankful that God answered your prayer!

For those who have not seen a sign that God hears their prayers for their loved ones...
Know that we should have faith even if we don't "see" our prayers helping.
    As a father of 4 children who no longer go to Mass, swallowed by this culture;
    I can sympathize.
My spiritual director's dad lived a life apart from God...Even though he had a saintly mother praying for him for untold years.
She (his mother) passed away and never saw, while on earth, how in the last week of his life he completely changed.

And so, just as Jesus prayed..." I know that you always hear me" when praying to His Father, we can be sure that God always hears our prayer.
We do not need to see the conversion to have faith that God can do anything, He hears our prayer, and we should thank Him!

Also, if one of our family members is not coming to Mass, beside praying for them, one of the things we can do is share Eucharistic Miracles with them.

5 Incredible Eucharistic Miracles from the last 25 Years

Theology and scripture put aside, some of the most compelling pieces of evidence are when the Eucharist has quite literally changed into Jesus’ body and blood. It’s happened throughout history but as we can often be sceptical of events that happened long ago here we have compiled a list of Eucharist miracles, all of which happened in the last 25 years! For more comprehensive studies and a much larger list, check out this resource.

    1) Argentina 1992, 1994, 1996
Where: The parish of Saint Mary in Buenos Aires

What happened: While both other miracles are definitely worth finding out about, the most interesting and comprehensive study was done with the 1996 Eucharist. It began bleeding when consecrated and part of it became human tissue. After several intense studies, it was found that the tissue was part of a heart, a muscle of the myocardium, the left ventricle, the muscle that gives life to the whole heart and body.

The tissue revealed further that it belonged to a person who had gone through intense pain, experiencing extended periods of time where he could barely breathe, had immense strain put on the heart (both common feature of crucifixion) and had been stabbed in the left side. What was most insane was that despite the fact this should have killed the person, the tissue showed signs of being ‘alive’.

This was evidenced by intact white blood cells being found in the tissue. This showed the heart sample was pulsating as elsewise the white blood cells would have disintegrated roughly 15 minutes outside of a living body.

Interesting fact: The Archbishop who commissioned the research was none other than the now Pope Francis!

    2) Mexico 2006
Where: The Parish of Saint Martin of Tours in Tixtla

    When: 21 October 2006

What Happened: During a Mass in a parish retreat, a host that was about to be distributed was effusing a reddish substance. The diocese decided to conduct extensive scientific study of the host to discern its cause, origin and ensure there was no hoax being played. The study took several years but its results were eventually published in 2013. The reddish substance analysed in the host was indeed blood in which there was DNA and haemoglobins of human origin.

Two studies conducted by eminent forensic experts using different methods both showed that blood came from inside the host; this showed that it wasn’t possible that the blood was placed on the host from an outside source. The blood type was AB positive, the same type as found in other Eucharistic miracles and the Holy Shroud of Turin. A microscopic analysis of the blood in 2010 showed that since 2006 much of the blood visible had coagulated (as expected) but that underlying internal layers contained the presence of fresh blood which showed that the Eucharist was still bleeding.

The human tissue found in the host was living, evidenced by intact white and red blood cells and active macrophages. The immunohistochemical studies revealed that the tissue found corresponds to the muscle of the heart mentioned in Buenos Aires, the Myocardium. All in all, the study proved beyond a doubt that the occurrence was not of natural origin and went further by linking this miracle to the others that happen around the world.

    3) India 2001
Where: The parish church of Saint Mary in Chirattakonam

    When: 5 May 2001

What Happened: On April 28 2001, the church began the Novena to St. Jude Thaddeus as they did every year. At 8:49am, the priest exposed the Most Holy Sacrament in the monstrance for public adoration. After a few moments they saw what appeared to be three dots in the Holy Eucharist. They prayed to the host for a while and then it was placed secure in the tabernacle.

The priest then went to the archbishop of the diocese to inform him of the change but when he returned to the parish and opened the tabernacle it had in fact developed further as now clearly in the Eucharist was not only the three red dots but a face crowned with a crown of thorns.

It is suggested that the three red dots refer to the three wounds St. Thomas asked to see of Jesus before he would believe he rose from the dead, a thought compounded by the fact that this was the reading of the day. The Eucharist remains there to this day and is often adored by the faithful ...

    5) Poland 2008
Where: The parish church of Saint Anthony of Sokółka

    When: 12 October 2008

What Happened: A consecrated host accidently fell to the ground during Mass and, when the priest noticed it, he believed it was dirty and so placed it in a vasculum (a small container filled with water) to dissolve it and get rid of a dirty host in the proper manner. Later, when it was brought out again, although it was partially dissolved it was still there and what was thought to be ‘dirt’ at a passing glance was in fact what at looked like a blood clot. Intense study followed and two scientists of global fame and specialists in pathological anatomy at the Medical University of Białystok were called in to lead the investigation, Professor Maria Elżbieta Sobaniec-Łotowska and Professor Stanisław Sulkowski.

These two scientists studied the ‘blood clot’ independent of each other and made use of the most modern optical microscopes and the transmission electronic microscope. To further ensure no bias in the study, Professor Sulkowski was not informed that the sample which he was examining came from a host. Despite this, both scientists reached the same conclusion: the sample examined was neither a clot, nor blood… it was a human cardiac muscle tissue (heart tissue) and was still alive.

The details of the heart’s condition are the same as those we’ve mentioned earlier, but the most incredible thing about this study was that, due to the advanced nature of the equipment they used, they were able to observe that the cardiac tissue was joined to the consecrated host in an inseparable manner. There is no scientific explanation for this; they penetrated each other, as if a fragment of ‘bread’ had suddenly transformed itself into ‘body’.

It is not possible to manipulate an event of this type. No one, absolutely no one, would have been able to do it. “Even the scientists of NASA, who have at their disposal the most modern analytical techniques, would not be able to artificially recreate such a thing” affirmed Professor Sobaniec-Łotowska."
