Thank you all! May God’s will be done… I am not alone- it’s so hard when those “darts” just keep coming… I am holding on in faith with my brothers and sisters Thank you
You helped me with your reminder. I’ve been thinking of a painful issue off and on today. It’s been there for years, but the holidays can resurrect it in a profound way. Reminding me that I need to remember to unite it to the cross of Jesus helps…thank you!
Thank you too Garabandal. Another good reminder. God is in charge. We’re going to need every grace to get through everything.
Ohhh ARD..your wisdom here helps sooo much! “Lord I believe. Help my unbelief.” You’re so right…Trust God,!
oh, so beautiful. It helps me personally to know that so many with faith are here to help each other because we, or most of us, carry a heavy cross…Gods permissive will. It helps when others going through it too offer words of consolation to build your confidence in God and to remind us that we are not alone. Thank you all!
So spot on! I never thought of a “refuge” being spiritual or in the case of Forum- virtual. But you are right! This is a place to come to find rest, shelter, and prayer. Just knowing others are praying for intentions and situations is so helpful. And no doubt God is hearing them. And I also know in some cases, it goes beyond virtual and spiritual as there are real/physical acts of kindness and love here- many times hidden and not in public. These are the acts that Our Lord loved so much…. These will be richly rewarded. Peace.
I was thinking of that today, also the St Michael Chaplet! I have started to truly wonder if I am supposed to prepare myself for an out of state separation from my family. I'd be pretty content to go off to Medjugorje for an extended time.
Perfectly said, Ellen. For the past few weeks I feel as though a storm of chaos has swept through our family. No coincidence that our burdens have increased during Advent, God is 'preparing' us for difficult times. I couldn't agree more, MOG is truly a refuge for these days.
Others have said it so beautifully already, I can't add a thing. But I just wanted to share this video which lifted my Spirits yesterday. It's a beautiful rendition of Ave Maria, performed in a stairwell of all places, for the acoustics. It was a surprise on how beautiful this is, and came from an unexpected place - like Grace, it can come from such unexpected times and places. I will keep everyone on the forum in our prayers over Christmas.
I just watched a video put up by Brian which addresses sufferings etc. It is so very good. You may like to watch this. The thread is called, something like..... "when things get this bad"
