I believe I explained clearly why they are being persecuted. We should all pray for our Catholic brothers. But it would have been wise of them to have turned against NATO and it’s warmongering officials from the beginning. As it would be wise for them today to demand a sit down with Putin and Zelensky to end this war. Peace

I think Ukrainian Catholics are right to be seriously suspicious of Putin, given his treatment of Catholicism in their country; Furthermore, Putin's peace will not occur without Russia taking over much of Ukraine's territory, which will likely cause the imposition of the Russian State Church on these territories. Catholics in Ukraine don't have much reason to trust Putin because months before the invasion he said it wouldn't happen and that it was all Western hysteria, plus no one is forced to accept the situation where even a priest's homily. It may pose a risk to your own physical integrity if you displease the government

At least socialist leaders like Ortega, Lula, and Nicolas Maduro are Putin's great regional allies in Latin America and key players in the project of a new world order led by Russia and China. This is yet another reason for me to seriously distrust Vladimir Putin's intentions.

And it was a Catholic public who voted for Ortega, Lula, and Nicolas Maduro. That’s my point. Catholics are to blame.

Catholics excommunicated from the Church since the authentic Catholic magisterium uses the prerogative of excommunication for Catholics who vote for communist parties.

What do you mean? How does this correlate with what I wrote about Catholics voting for leftists? Look at the Catholic vote in the U.S., let alone the Catholic vote in Europe. The majority vote for socialists.

I meant that a Catholic who votes for communist parties is excommunicated, therefore these Catholics cannot serve to silence the opinion of any Catholic in Latin America about what is happening in Russia and Ukraine, besides, I didn't say that it was less worse when the vote for Communism occurs in Europe and the USA.

How many Catholics who voted for these socialists in Latin America, and Europe, let alone our own Catholic Biden and Pelosi been excommunicated?

  10. Byron

    Byron Powers

    None.

  11. Luan Ribeiro

    everyone who voted for them.

    Who excommunicated them?

  13. Luan Ribeiro

    Luan Ribeiro Powers

themselves; automatic excommunication at least if they had knowledge of Church law.

Russian occupation authorities in the city of Mariupol destroyed the Holodomor Massacre monument, a memorial in honor of the millions of Ukrainians who were starved to death by the Soviet communist regime between 1932 and 1933. The monument was considered offensive to Russia's [version of] history.

And now they intend to rebuild the monument in honor of the beast Lenin. This monument had been dismantled in 2014 as part of Ukraine's "decommunization" policy.

This whole process of Russian nationalism trying to rehabilitate Lenin is offensive to the martyrs of the Orthodox Church itself.

Mother China aims to denazify Taiwan this year... Things are getting really scary!

China says it aims to 'contain' foreign interference over Taiwan this year

BEIJING, Feb 23 (Reuters) - China aims to "contain" foreign interference over Taiwan and "resolutely combat" any efforts towards the island's formal independence this year, which is the sensitive 75th anniversary of the founding of communist China, state media said on Friday.

China views democratically ruled Taiwan as its own territory, ignoring the objections of the government in Taipei, and has ramped up political and military pressure to assert those claims.

Taiwan last month elected current Vice President Lai Ching-te as its next president, a man Beijing has called a dangerous separatist. Lai, who takes office in May, has repeatedly offered talks with China but has been rebuffed.

China's official Xinhua news agency said the ruling Communist Party's fourth-ranked leader, Wang Huning, held a two-day meeting on this year's Taiwan-related work which ended on Friday.~

Wang said that with this year being the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China it was "necessary to do a good job on Taiwan-related work with a high sense of responsibility and mission", Xinhua said.

China "must resolutely combat the division of Taiwan independence, contain interference from external forces, firmly support the patriotic and reunification forces on the island, unite Taiwan compatriots, and maintain peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait", it cited Wang as saying.

In China's terminology, interference from external forces generally covers areas such as U.S. arms sales to Taiwan and visits to Taipei by foreign officials and lawmakers.

Xinhua said Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, also head of the party's foreign affairs commission and director of China's Taiwan Affairs Office from 2008 to 2013, attended the meeting.

Taiwan's government says China has no right to claim to represent the island's people on the international stage and that as the People's Republic of China has never ruled Taiwan its sovereignty claims are void.

Mao Zedong proclaimed the founding of the People's Republic in Beijing on Oct. 1, 1949, after a bloody civil war.

The defeated Republic of China government fled to Taiwan at the end of 1949, and that remains the island's formal name.

    Neither government recognises the other.

Sanctus "Jesus I trust in you!"

It happened in Co. Kildare in Ireland. The perpetrator is alleged to have mental health issues, from what I read.
