the martyr prostitutes of the spanish civil war

    This short (real) story of the early spanish civil war, tells how a group of prostitutes tried to stop the milicians (communists\ militant atheists,mercenaries etc) from setting on fire the church of san martin de tours. they were shot in the act and the church was set on fire, but the neighborhood of Malasaña still remembers them as martyrs of the faith.
    the short article then quotes the verses

    Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, the tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God ahead of you. 32 For John came to you to show you the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes did. And even after you saw this, you did not repent and believe him.
