This is another example to discern anything you read on Countdown to the Kingdom. https://spiritdaily.org/blog/news/t...-claimed-blood-stains-on-statue-come-from-pig
If true, this doesn't surprise me. I discerned her to be false years ago. I wish she wasn't included in that lovely book published recently compiling all the Marian apparitions of the 20th century.
There are so many alleged seers and messengers out there I can't keep up with them. It seemed to me maybe some or many of them were meant for a particular part of the world, so I don't read most of the messages to be honest. The article in Spirit Daily did say the report came from a secular source, so it might be wise to wait until more concrete information surfaces before condemning any alleged seer. We can pray for Gisella and her family and if God is working through her all will be well, and if not our prayers will be a means of dear God helping her whatever the outcome. Viva Christo Rey.
Exactly. Probably better to hold our judgment until the facts are clear. A Press Statement released during the Easter Octave by the association related to the apparitions states: The Association “Madonna of Trevignano ETS” categorically denies certain reports that are circulating in the press saying that Gisella secretly fled abroad and allegedly misappropriated sums of money from the association’s bank account. These are false claims put into circulation during the Easter 2023 holidays. A further dimension of hate can be seen in claims that the analyzed blood allegedly coming from the statue of Our Lady can be traced back to an animal;lareginadelrosario.org or elsewhere on the internet. These testimonies have notably been given by individuals who: have witnessed the lacrimations of tears and blood on the images of Jesus and Our Lady in Gisella’s home. (It has been confirmed both by the press and by a reporter from RAI TV that the red liquid found on the statue was indeed human blood, and that it had been subject to DNA testing and comparison with the DNA of the seer. Gisella Cardia’s (or her husband Gianni’s) own blood was not noted.) have received healings in connection with Trevignano Romano who have attested to Gisella’s intuitive knowledge of the spiritual life of persons otherwise unknown to her. have been present at Gisella’s Good Friday ecstasies, in which it is claimed that she experiences the Passion of Our Lord, and seen the wounds of her stigmata and the beautiful fragrance that exudes from them. “Stigmata” appeared on Gisella’s hands before Easter Regarding the above, a video of Gisella Cardia’s stigmata was filmed at her home in Trevignano Romano, Italy, on March 24, 2023. The event was observed by Peter Bannister and Dr. Rosanna Chifari, internationally-known neurologist from Milan who has examined Gisella Cardia previously and monitored her over a period of 18 months. They witnessed the apparent exudation of viscous, fragrant oil from both of Gisella’s hands. Dr. Chifari also makes a statement of her observations in the video, which has subtitles in English, when the subtitle caption is turned on. Click here to see the video. Click here to see a video in English of Dr. Chifari and Peter Bannister sharing their observations after having appeared on Canal 5, on Italian Television the day before. Peter Bannister (left) with Gisella and husband Gianna. All these alleged phenomena have ample precedent within Catholic mystical tradition and would seem to conform to its “grammar.” In addition to written testimony, we also have video and photographic evidence both regarding the religious images and solar phenomena (similar to those observed at many other such locations around the world, most famously in Fatima on October 13, 1917). There is additional video evidence of solar phenomena in the presence of multiple witnesses during prayer at the apparition site, similar to the phenomena of the “Dancing Sun” in Fatima in 1917 or attested by Pope Pius XII in the Vatican Gardens immediately preceding the proclamation of the Dogma of the Assumption in 1950. These phenomena, when the sun appears to rotate, flash or be transformed into a Eucharistic Host, clearly cannot be faked by human means, and being recorded (albeit imperfectly) on camera, are also evidently not merely the fruit of collective hallucination. Click here to see a video of the miracle of the sun (Trevignano Romano – 17 Settembre 2019 – Miracolo del sole/“Trevignano Romano – September 17, 2019 – Miracle of the sun.”) Click hereto see Gisella, her husband, Gianni, and a priest, witnessing the miracle of the sun in a public gathering of one of Gisella’s apparitions of the Virgin Mary. (Trevignano Romano miracolo del sole 3 gennaio 2020/“Trevignano Romano’s miracle of the sun, January 3, 2020”) Familiarity with the history of Marian apparitions suggests that these miracles point to confirmations of the authenticity of heavenly communications. So Jesus said to him, “Unless you see signs and wonders you will not believe.” John 4:48 Subtitles available in English.
It was alleged by “private investigator” Andrea Cacciotti, on the basis of unspecified “analyses” that the blood on the statue of Our Lady in Trevignano bore a resemblance to pig’s blood in terms of colour and density. It has however been confirmed by the RACIS group of police scientific investigations that no new samples have been taken from the statue since the initial examinations in 2016 (during which Gisella Cardia and her husband Gianni offered their DNA to be sampled). Andrea Cacciotti is a controversial figure in Italian political life: an advocate of private security forces calling himself “il comandante”, he first came to public attention in 2009 when he tried to obtain a million euros from then Prime Minister Berlusconi in return for a videotape allegedly showing sexual acts between two politicians. Cacciotti was subsequently investigated for attempted extortion. Translator’s note. https://www.countdowntothekingdom.com/controversy-european-media-assails-gisella-cardia/
What leads me to believe Gisella is a false visionary is the strange bloody words "written" on her arm, the constant sensationalistic messages of specific impending doom, and the supposed prediction of disease caused by bacteria coming out of China that Gisella claimed was a prediction of Covid....but she later changed the message to say "virus" instead of "bacteria." If there is truly unexplainable phenomena going on, that doesn't automatically mean it's from Heaven. The devil can "work wonders" too. I could be wrong, but I've always had very troubled feelings about her, similar to how Fr. Michel Rodriguez felt. So I will stay away and wait for the Church to investigate her.
Thank you for this. You cheer me up. I was always inclined to believe in her and when I read reports that herself and her husband fled it was a big, big shock to me; I never ever expected this. But if it were true that she is on the run it will become very obvious soon enough. We will simply have to wait and see. But you have given me hope.
https://www.sunstar.com.ph/article/...catholic-mystics-amid-end-times-dire-messages Now in regard to Gisella Cardia. The Guardian has reported that Giselaa, who used to be referred to in her native Italy as “the Saint”, is allegedly a fake mystic. The Guardian reported that “a woman nicknamed ‘the Saint’ has mysteriously vanished from a small lakeside town near Rome where pilgrims have flocked for years to pray before a statue of the Virgin Mary that she claimed shed tears of blood.” “Maria Giuseppe Scarpulla, originally from Sicily, and her husband reportedly fled Trevignano Romano last week after a private investigator triggered a judicial investigation against her based on his alleged finding that the blood stains on the statue came from a pig, “ the report said. The Guardian also said thaat Gisella was once convicted of bankruptcy fraud. Gisella was reportedly seen packing up her car and leaving Trevignano Romano on Thursday last week. A message on her website says meetings with the faithful are “temporarily suspended”. Her lawyer, Anna Orlando, said, however, that Gisella had just gone on holiday. “This is sensationalism. The witch-hunt is galloping and nobody seems willing to ascertain facts. I can only say that we will defend ourselves,” she said. The Italian journal Tre Periodico, in its issue on March 17, 2023, recalled that the fraud report against Gisella dated some 10 years ago. It said: “A friend of Gisella’s in Rome — a financial adviser by profession — proposed that she assume the role of the administrator of a small company producing artistic ceramics on behalf of another company by ceding the aforementioned branch of the business regarding small local objects (Gisella is originally from the area). Later, the licensor company went bankrupt, dragging down with it the small gifts company that was in the black. Gisella relied on delegating the liquidation of the company to third-party proponents, trusting them. This naiveté resulted in Gisella receiving the lightest of the sentences imposed in the first instance and which will be appealed against. Gisella did not derive the slightest financial gain from this affair — of which she was accused, quite the contrary.” A press statement released during the Easter Octave by an association supporting Gisella also noted: “The Association Madonna of Trevignano ETS categorically denies certain reports that are circulating in the press saying that Gisella secretly fled abroad and allegedly misappropriated sums of money from the association’s bank account. These are false claims put into circulation during the Easter 2023 holidays. A further dimension of hate can be seen in claims that the analyzed blood allegedly coming from the statue of Our Lady can be traced back to an animal; all of this, of course, being claimed without giving an account of the place, mode of collection of the storage of the sample and the analytical method practiced. The result obtained on social media is that a climate of suspicion, distrust and hatred has arisen, not only toward Gisella but also toward this Association, because it is abundantly clear that any of us could become the passive object of attacks and/or aggression, both physical and verbal. With our protection by competent legal jurisdiction remaining intact, we signify as of now that the whole Association stands at the complete disposal of the judicial authorities if necessary for any clarifications that may be necessary. In conclusion, we remind that any defamatory and slanderous actions towards us via the mass media will be followed up by legal action with the competent judicial authorities.” The website countdowntothekingdom.com also noted that “many testimonies have appeared supporting Gisella Cardia’s authenticity, either on the official website lareginadelrosario.org or elsewhere on the internet. These testimonies have notably been given by individuals who have witnessed the lacrimations of tears and blood on the images of Jesus and Our Lady in Gisella’s home.” It noted that this “has been confirmed both by the press and by a reporter from RAI TV that the red liquid found on the statue was indeed human blood, and that it had been subject to DNA testing and comparison with the DNA of the seer. Gisella Cardia’s (or her husband Gianni’s) own blood was not noted.” It also noted healings of ailing persons, and Gisella’s intuitive knowledge of the spiritual life of persons otherwise unknown to her, her Good Friday ecstasies wherein she experiences the passions of Jesus as corresponding wounds appear on her body amid beautiful fragrance exuding from them.
Luan, the website Countdown to the Kingdom will keep posting updates since they post her messages. I just looked at it and Peter Bannister has posted an update in which he said she left in fear for her safety.
I doubt very much if she could have deceived everyone with pigs blood on a statue. This phenomenon has been going on for some years. The logistics involved in procuring pigs blood on a regular basis to deceive the public would be almost impossible to hide. All mystics come under attack eventually. It is important I think to always be careful with private revelation. Take what is good and uplifting and always remember the Word of God is our greatest gift and is the rock on which we stand. It's very difficult calling to be have to put yourself out there revealing the messages given from above. Pray for them. I wouldn't have their life for anything. It must be hugely difficult.
Countdown to the Kingdom has too many questionable visionaries on their website - their inability to discern is actually quite staggering. Should Gisella Gardia prove to be a fake then that leaves Peter Bannister's reputation tarnished and will be the end for the countdown to the kingdom apostolate. But they have a get out clause as they use the term 'alleged' seer for all of the alleged visionaries.
My first observation from reading an article in Spirit Digest is that the accuser Cacciotti who published the CLAIM that the blood on the statue was pigs blood, made that statement as a personal OPINION, it was not based on any science or tests or proof. Fake news springs to mind. IMHO Here is the exert from the article at countdown, and it would be prudent to take this information into account before passing judgement. [It was alleged by “private investigator” Andrea Cacciotti, on the basis of unspecified “analyses” that the blood on the statue of Our Lady in Trevignano bore a resemblance to pig’s blood in terms of colour and density. We are all technically obliged to use the term 'alleged' when we speak about supernatural messages or visions that have not been approved by the Church. It is not fair to accuse Countdown to the Kingdom of using the word as a get out. It is all about discernment, not judgement. Peter Bannister left this Forum because of harsh stubborn opposition to his personal observations shared in good faith, and I for one regretted his exit. Peter Bannister is not our enemy.
I didn't say he was our enemy. I do respect Peter but he is taking a risk promoting these seers. In my opinion they would be better promoting the rosary and authentic Catholic devotions rather than alleged 'prophets'. I don't think lay people should be discerning 'alleged seers' and promoting their messages on a website. That is for the Church to discern.
The Gisella Gardia story is making the news even with the Times newspaper in England https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/...adonna-that-whipped-up-italian-food-d6skfmm36 A follower of the seer called Luigi Avella claims to have given her 123,000 Euros https://news.italy24.press/trends/450187.html This reminds me of the controversy over Christina Gallagher in Ireland from the House of Prayer in Achill Island. The problem is that the media is so biased their reporting is tainted by negativity to all things spiritual and Catholic. Getting the hard facts will not be easy. Start with the maxim 'innocent until proven guilty'.
Good point, well presented as they say. However if we cancel every testimony until and if the Church gets around to approving it, I reckon we would all be pushing up the daisies before the news reached our ears. We live in such serious times that it seems Heaven is making extraordinary efforts to keep us awake in our spiritual life. Wouldn't you agree the plandemic was a point in reference when you think how many people fell for the scam, believing Christians included. I hope Heaven doesn't desert us even if we do need to be cautious when we hear from unapproved visionaries or messengers. And we are not obliged to take them all on board even when they are approved. Thank God. If the Gospel and the Good News had waited for approval we would all be pagans or Jews.
