Other catholic priests cancelled him? This is to be expected from atheist militants, but never from fellow clergymen.
I was looking at his utube posts. I must watch a few. He seems to have kinda named and shamed certain powerful people in the past. There may be more to this than first appears.
I attended Mass with Fr. Clay Hunt a few years ago before he was banned. He was a powerful homilist and a courageous, unapologetic conservative Catholic. Local parishes loved him. Apparently he was getting a little too popular for his higher ups. He was cancelled because he was outspoken about the Truth (things that go against the liberal agenda of the diocese). It was widely understood in Central Texas as a warning to priests, “you speak the Truth, you will be silenced”...like Fr. Hunt.
There does seem to be a specific problem in the Texas area, there are so very many reports of weird goings on. It reminds me of the saying, 'Where good abounds there evil will even more abound'. Anyhow telling the truth to power has always been risky, look at what happened to St John the Baptist. https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/a...-communion-ignored-gov-abbott-at-uvalde-mass/
And Texas is where the solar eclipse begins. Fly over here to Indiana and watch it from my house. Will put you up. And take you on a tour of Amish country if you like. It might be the other way round Padraig? St. Paul said, "where sin abounds grace abounds all the more". In the OP above with John Henry, Fr. Clay speaks out very strongly against homosexuality, both in the laiety and in the clergy. I suspect his forthright views on this and the expression of them, may be the underlying reason he was cancelled.
