Since your talking about altar wine, Might not be a bad idea, if members of the forum would pick up a few bottles of altar wine, just to have them incase they try to close public masses down. In certain parts of the world altar wine can be hard to get and you can't have Holy Mass without it.

You know, there could be a silver lining to the PF cloud. The apostates in the Church have long had contempt for the papacy and have tried to downgrade it. Since the election, which we have to presume for now is valid, of Jorge Bergoglio to the papal throne, the apostate wing of the Church has been loud in reminding us that the Pope is the boss, practically the incarnation of the Holy Spirit, according to some. Their future protests against any pope who turns out to be Catholic will not carry as much weight.

Bye it of a church supplies company. 'Lalor Church Candles' sell Altar wine here in Ireland. You will need to set up an account with them, or you could bye it through your local parish if they are willing. The important thing to remember is that a priest can't say Mass using ordinary wine, it must be pure wine, fruit of the vine. Let me know how get on, if all fails I could get it for you.

Sorry border collie, I was assuming that you live here in Ireland. If you live in the USA you will have to look there for yourself. :(

Im now interested in knowing how hosts are made for the consecration. is there a designated deacon or church worker who crafts them? Or made in monasteries maybe?

Some cloistered nuns here make them. A little cottage industry.
