So wonderful that the Church gives us two beautiful Solemnities right after Easter Season as we go back to ordinary time. Next week is Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Jesus and today is Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity.

No doubt we all face worries, anxieties and challenges in our lives but we have hope. I wish you all a blessed Holy Trinity Sunday.

We had both these hymns today… one a more modern and other classic. Both beautiful. Peace.

We were away at weekend and called into a country chapel on way home for 11.30 mass. It was quite a big church and beautiful. There was one person sitting in front of us and we were in the fourteenth pew of the church.

As Mass began I got quite emotional because of the empty pews really struck me and my heart grieved for Ireland and the God I love.

I could feel the tears welling up at how the heart of God must be grieved that his children have abandoned him.

However, I was struck by the sacristan who was serving at the mass his devotion and holiness shone through.

I offered God all the devotion and love I could muster in reparation for his absent children.

Thank you for letting us know this. I felt sad this morning , too, because so many souls are not worshipping God at Sunday Mass. So many are shopping, eating brunch, drinking, given to pleasures in recreation.
Our Lady of La Salette, in her visit to Melanie and Maximin, talked about the sin of profanity used by the people, the fact that they drive the carts on Sunday (work), and that they don’t go to Mass.
I am glad you did reparations.

This describes 3 of my 4 kids. They are not making the time for God in their lives. I admit I vacillate between despair, anger and hope for them. I’ve come to the place where like St. Monica I relinquish this to God because I’m not God. I know God loves them- he loves all the souls in the empty pews. My “job” is to pray for them and as best I can walk the talk.

I will say that perhaps in my little corner of the world, God’s grace is taking hold. Our little parish is packed for each of the 3 Sunday Masses… not just the “gray hair crowd” , but young families. It’s a sign of life an hope. Prayers this spreads to your locations too!

I had a little experience at mass today as the priest raised the host I saw three priests... my chapel has a child room where they have the mass streaming live on a tv... where I was standing I could see the tv, the priest on the altar and because of the glass screen separating the room from the church I could see the priest reflection in the glass...:):):):love::love::love:
