Praying Divine Office everyday has been such a blessing and grace to me. The Office of Readings is so profound and always is a learning curve by some of our holiest leaders. Today’s was so interesting, the Second Reading, from a sermon by Baldwin of Canterbury, Bishop. I am going to copy it and print it out because it deals so specifically on discernment. A good way to look about you in a society that is constantly being gaslighted.
There are many free apps where you can find the readings. God is good.

I agree! Next to receiving the Eucharist it really makes a difference in my life. I have been praying it since 1998 and my prayer book is getting so ratty I keep thinking I should buy a new one! I too use Divineoffice.org especially if I get mixed up on the Church calendar during holidays.

Agreed! The Divine Office is a spiritual treasure trove - it has made a huge difference for me, as well.

I love the Divine Office. It provides the day with hinges. Recently I got so enthralled by the story of Joshua I read ahead in a Bible to see what happens next! The Office of Readings is something I haven’t been so faithful to in my life but lately have been adding it and it is so nourishing. I just wish those passages from Vat II were not included. I don’t think anything written by a committee is suitable for meditation
