In relation to the death of our brother Luke (Mac) if anyone would like to help his family financially please send a private message to Padraig asking for the account details of his wife Josie.

May God reward you for your kindness

Let’s help if we’re able. Consider giving to Luke’s family this month what you’d normally tithe or give at Church.

Funny you say that, it was exactly what I thought when I saw the thread title.

Ok dear friends, let’s try to help Josie and the children as best we’re able:

Brian, Thank you for sharing this with us. I just contributed anonymously and I think I will send her something directly along with a mass card. I think that anything that we can do to show that we are keeping them all in our prayers would be greatly helpful to Josie and their children over the next few weeks and months.

May God bless them and keep them always.

Thanks Carol. I hope to be able to help too in the next couple weeks, so I hope they keep the GoFundMe page open for a while.

I’m honestly not sure, Josephite. It might be something simple like it not accepting a street address when you have a PO Box, or it not recognizing your zip code as corresponding to your city. Also GoFundMe won’t accept some currencies or addresses outside the USA. I honestly don’t know your location but could any of those account for the incorrect data error?

    Edit to add:
@josephite I see from another forum post that you’re in Australia. I think the answer is as simple as that. GoFundMe is an American site and only seems to work with a limited number of countries and their currencies. Sorry.

Thank you Brian for getting back to me.
I will just have to tranfer to the account.
    I have the account details.
    Thanks again.

I just received a note from Luke’s wife and wanted to share it with you all:
    Dear Brian,

Just a quick note to let you know that I am doing a little better now. I am able to sleep! It is wonderful! Everything is a little better with sleep.

I took the children to Napier which is just 3 hrs drive from home. My parents drove us there as they were worried about me. Our roads are very skinny and hilly. There is an aquarium there which is really neat and really enjoyable for the children. It was a nice break from home.

Please thank everyone who has given to us. It has made it possible for me to take the children away for a few days. We all feel much better for having had a break. And especially the prayers everyone has offered for us. I don't think I would be doing very well without them. We all miss Luke very much but we hope to see him again one day in heaven.

    Hope you are well.
    God bless,
    Josephine
Please continue your prayers for the repose of our friend Luke, and help out his family if you’re able.

Thank you Brian. As soon as March gets here I will send some more. I am keeping Josie and the family in my prayers. I am SO glad they were able to get away for some R and R. They are very much on my mind.

They haven’t reached their goal and the site is still open, so if you’re able to help Josie, Peter and the girls, please consider doing so.

A note from Joe of a recent exchange with Joise:

Joe: Was enough raised to cover the cost?

Josie: Yes there was! So many kind people. That was Luke's birthday present!! Most expensive one he's ever had!!

I also heard from Josie directly:

Hi. Let me know your address so I can send you a prayer card of Luke's. We had his headstone blessed on Thursday. It would have been his 50th. God bless
