I have read about the objects kissed at Garabandal by Our Lady. Is it still possible to obtain medals or other objects that were kissed, like the medals that contain the missal that was kissed at Garabandal?

I realize it's been almost 50+ years since the apparitions ended so I may have missed the boat on this one but I do hope that there are still ways to obtain such blessed objects.

    God Bless,
    Andree

I have one hanging around my neck right now. Be careful what you wish for....the day I got mine, I read on the card that I could do my purgatory on earth so I became a victim soul and shortly after that was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. 6 joint surgeries later I still am wearing it :D. The spiritual gifts have been amazing though! :notworthy:

Well I found out that they are sold in Garabandal and as I will be there in August, I will get several of them and offer them to others on the forum. Stay tuned!

I think that we posted our messages at the same time and I didn't see your message until now. I didn't realize this was part of the deal:)! I will try to get as many as possible and will report back in September.

These articles not only have the special distinction of Our Lady’s kiss but two special graces were attached to them.
Our Lady said, “Through the kiss I bestow on these objects, my Son will perform prodigies. Distribute them to others.”
“Those who wear them with faith and devotion will do their purgatory on earth.”

As Carmel said, "be careful what you ask for".

Now that the New York Center is closed, even I can't get them. I would be willing to send you some money in advance of your trip ,if you could buy a few for me, they are very small.

Thank you Glenn, I would actually like to know more about this particular sacramental, as I admit that I don't know much about what the promise of purgatory on earth entails. Is the act of wearing this medal with faith and devotion a sign of acceptance to take on more suffering for Christ?

I've sent you a private message about the purchase of medals.

Yes, it usually entails a certain degree of suffering. The history behind it is when the girls first met her, they were in a rocky cow path, so they would ask Mary to kiss stones so they would have a religious object to bring home. Mary politely agreed at first but asked the girls to bring religious sacramentals to kiss instead, such as rosaries, scapulars, wedding rings crosses, etc. They also started to bring prayer missals. They would fan the pages, so Mary could kiss all the pages. Later on they started to incorporate a small piece of the missal in the metal medal.

Just an update from me....I just had knee surgery on my right knee, after having another ankle surgery in five months ago which makes 5 of these in 3 years. So now have had 8 surgeries on my joints since I got the metal. I also just found out that the bone tumor removed six months ago in my left ankle is growing back..... I am officially unable to walk without a cane or crutches now. I keep hearing all those nuns I had as teachers in grade school telling me to "offer it up" and so I do! (y) I'm in a way glad the Lord has given me this because I don't feel very generous ( I feel a little crabby )and I have at least some thing to give Him.

Sorry for your health issue...no small thing...no wonder you're a bit crabby! Fortunately, you are blessed enough to know that your suffering is a offering....might be your purgatory!

I wanted all the prodigies and none of the purgatory. I just thought that normal life would become my purgatory andI wouldn't have to suffer any more. As the Rolling Stones song goes "you cant always get what you want.! My life has become very hard in many ways.and I whinge and complain a great deal but I must be wearing the kissed relics with faith and devotion as requested so this must be my purgatory. I offer it up but heaven must be sick of my gripes. Compared to Carmel my lot is nothing. God must know I am a bit of a whoose. Also I have turned a corner. I have been obsessed with seeing the Great Miracle in person in Garabandal. That does not matter to me now. Well not so much. Garabandal will be a huge bonus but Heaven will be much better. Now that will be a real prodigy: me getting to heaven. A little tear fell as I wrote that.
"All which I took from thee, I did but take,
    Not for thy harms
But that thou might'st seek it in my arms.
    All which thy child's mistake
Fancies as lost, I have stored for thee at home." (Francis Thompson. The Hound of Heaven.)

God doesn't give you more than you can handle . . .
In a seminar I attended years ago it was said that if you put twenty people in a circle and they all threw their troubles in the middle, you would take yours back!

  19. Does God choose victim souls or do we? I am unsure.

  20. Sorry to hear you are so poorly Carmel333. If I may share something..... I was at a talk by John Gillespie (look up a book about him called "The Miracle Ship") some time ago, he was speaking on the wrong way of praying, which we Catholics are noted for.
He emphasised that God doesn't give sickness, it has only one source! But we can hold onto it by offering it up instead of rebuking it, or by owning it by describing it as; my cancer, my diabetes etc.
He gave as an example a lady he was asked to pray with who was unable to walk and confined to bed for the previous 5 years and in constant pain. He felt the Holy Spirit asking what did she want prayer for, so he asked her, and her answer was for something other than her sickness. He asked why did she not want prayer for her sickness and she said a priest had told her she was suffering with Jesus and to offer it up. The Holy Spirit prompted John to quote Jn 10:10 to her. And asked if this was what she believed. She protested saying the priest was very holy. John said he agreed the priest could be very holy but he didn't seem to know the scriptures. He argued the promises in scripture over what she believed or wanted. She finally said she did believe that Jesus "came that we would have life and have it to the full." John then prayed with her. She was totally healed and got out of bed and walked down the stairs with him.
In my own life I was asked to pray with a man who had a brain tumour, in prayer beforehand MT 21:19 came to mind. And in the short prayer with the man I cursed the roots of the tumour in the name of Jesus. When the surgeons operated they found the tumour was dead with no roots. The told him it had been growing for almost 30 years. The man recovered and is doing all and more than he did previously.
