I just posted this a second ago in a different thread here, but this powerful prayer deserves it's own spot so people can easily find it. I personally have seen a wonderful grace and miracle from this consecration to the last 2 hours of death when my grandmother was in the process of passing back in 2015. Someone from the forum at the time pointed me to this prayer to say. My grandmother had been mostly unconscious for a few days. I was visiting her at the hospital and said this consecration on her behalf, and her eyes popped open, she greeted me then asked me who this lady was in the room. She kept saying she was so beautiful. My aunt showed up while grandma was lucid and kept asking her if these people where some already deceased friends or family. Each person she named my grandma kept saying no. I was still in shock but then asked her if it was the Blessed Mother. My grandmother shook her head yes with the most beautiful, peaceful smile I had ever seen and just repeated, "she is so beautiful!" I encourage all of you to get this prayer and use it on behalf of those you love who may be in the process of dying. This wonderful prayer, I am told, was the last page in the much older pieta prayer books. Enjoy!
Thank you for posting this. I have an old Pieta prayer book and I just opened it up to the last page and there it was . A tattered prayer book is a sure sign of love! God Bless!
Thanks for reminding me about this prayer. My mother used to pray this prayer every day as she got older. She developed dementia when in her 90's and was often very confused and unable to have any kind of a meaningful conversation. I had been on holidays and she was in a nursing home for a few days and I was due to collect her the following day when I got a call to say she was fading. I phoned a priest and headed for the nursing home. She was very lucid and we prayed the rosary together. She was very peaceful and was able to talk to me. The priest was delayed and I suggested we pray the chaplet which we did. Just as we finished he arrived and gave her the last rites. When he was done she closed her eyes and passed. It was 3 ó clock. I had arrived at the nursing home at 1pm which was exactly 2 hours, so her last 2 hours were just as wanted them to be.
does anyone know where I can get such ancient\vintage prayer booklets? online or in paper. libraries with old books in my city are generally super disorganized and it would be tedious to manually inspect each book looking for a prayer-devotional tome.
