Could I again remind users to refrain from mass deleting content that they have posted it only gives me a headache...I just wasted two hours of my time restoring deleted posts...PLEASE DO NOT DO IT .... As for editing the facility is to be used to correct errors such as spelling or mis typos.....its not to be used to change what you say to win an argument......That's pointless as it will only be restored to its original... Thanks John.....
Oh, I hope not to have done this. I do edit later when it looks like the original was not clear. Sorry if I have been the cause of your headache. I just don't know to be honest. Will try to get it right first time from now on.
I have done lots of editing and deleting in the past. Usually an attack of scruples thinking i shouldn't have written something. Im very sorry. I will not do this say more. I had no idea.
I have done this as well. I feel bad that I do not have a full understanding of exactly what goes on behind the scenes of running a forum. Sorry for your trouble, John.
Guilty also! I always fill out the reason--usually I haven't said something clearly or double-posted. I didn't know it caused problems!
Simple editing is absolutely fine so please no need to be sorry guys... What's not OK is mass deleting of posts..or correcting a post to win an argument... This behaviour is usually common when someone wants to leave the forum and throws thier toys out of the pram..
I don't believe I fit into that mold, John. Sometimes within five minutes or so, I may edit my post because when it comes to expressing a thought, I'm a stickler for clarity! If that's a problem for you, I'll stay with my rough drafts. God knows what I mean, even if I don't!
