Good morning folks, I've lurked on this forum a bit so I thought I'd give it a try. I was a baptized Catholic when I was born, although grew up in a non-practicing household. I had a profound conversion from 12/2020 until the Easter Vigil Mass when I was confirmed earlier this year. Conversion however is a never ending process! I pray the Rosary and Divine Mercy Chaplet every day, and I have a very strong love, devotion and affinity for the Holy Mother. I can say with certainty that Her intercession brought me out of my previous lifestyle. I used to struggle with a lot of bad stuff, but when I embraced my first, "Hail Mary", and actually thought about the words, boy did my life start to change for the better. I completely fell in love with Her, and Her Divine Son in a way that is hard to describe with words. I am blessed to have heard the call so to speak to discard my previous sinful lifestyle and come into the fold. Casting off the "old me" is a grace from God, because I of course have no power of my own. I've also had a number of very profound life moments here and there over the last 2 years. Ave Maria
Welcome to the forum. I hear Wyoming is a wild and beautiful State so much to see and do. The forum is also both wild and beautiful
Thank you! Yes Wyoming is a gorgeous place. I've lived in a lot of different places and countries but I'm very much at home here. If you like to do things outdoors, this is the place! We're into hiking, camping and hunting and fishing. I'm going hunting for antelope next week, and then in November going for white tail deer. I hope! I'm in the middle of a 9 day novena for the intercession of St. Hubert, patron saint of hunters.
Welcome! And thanks for sharing your story…. I agree that conversion is on going. Casting off the “old man” and to truly have all the grace promised in baptism… to become born again is at least in my case , an ongoing process.
Praying slowly and thought, from the heart is the Golden Way to Heaven. Our Lady herself must have taught you this. Shalom.
Just a note to say that I will be off the grid for the next few days hunting and living in my camper, please pray for my success. I did a 9 day novena to enlist St. Hubert for help. Weather is going to be meh, but tolerable. I'm looking forward to the alone in the mountains time. I get to pray a lot.
Thank you thank you! To bed early tonight, up tomorrow between 4:30 and 5. Then I've got a 30 minute drive until I hit public land, and then about another 20 minutes or so on the forest service roads, which judging by my trip out Sunday to park my camper were pretty gnarly and wet. Supposed to be dry for the rest of the week, it's one of my favorite happy places.
