I wonder if Our Lady's message here is not the actual 3rd secret of Fatima. Having been denied its publication by Pope John XXIII Our Blessed Mother brought it to Sister Agnes. It is certainly terrifying. And it does not seem that men have "bettered themselves".
If things were bad in 1973 - where are we at now? Worse than the time of the flood? Yes - judgement is upon this generation as in Noah. And the elements destroy - water and fire --
Yes. I think of this often. Serious grave sin has increased exponentially. We really are in the days of Noah. We must keep building the ark--Our Lady's request for Rosaries and first Saturdays, consecration and penance. Keep close to the Sacraments. She is the Ark this time around.
Just thinking out loud that it is 60 years since the 3rd Secret of Fatima was meant to be released - 1960 to 2020 - how many souls lost because the Vatican refused to respond to our Lady's request?
This certainly is horrifying in the material/physical punishment of human life, but it seems, from what has been written about re: Fatima, that the reason the Church wasn't forthcoming about just what the symbols/images shown really meant has been due to what will come about out of the diabolical entry into the hierarchy that could cause division/schism.....IOW, sin at the highest levels. And when you look at those involved in silencing Lucia you can more easily link to that reason!!

This atrocity has slaughtered millions of babies in the U.S. alone, and turned it into an industry that makes money off the body parts of these innocents.
The answer is yes. Bishop Ito went to Rome and consulted Benedict XVI who was then a Cardinal for advice because it was the first time he had encountered supernatural phenomena of this sort. I saw an interview somewhere in which Bishop Ito said, the Cardinal Ratzinger having read the message of Akita told him it was the same as the third secret of Fatima, so he could go ahead and approve it. I don't believe we are at that juncture at this time. I believe we will have the warning/illumination first and if men do not repent, then the Akita warning is the Chastisement where it was said three quarters of the human race will be wiped out. If it ties in with Garabandal, which I believe it does; Conchita (now 71 years old) said she expected the warning in her lifetime and the Chastisement in the lifetime of her children. I think Fatima, Garabandal, Medjugorje are all linked. This is comforting because we expect three days notice from Medjugorje before secrets come to pass, one of these could be the warning. Conchita from Garabandal will give us eight days notice before the great miracle. I do believe there will be signs left at both places after the great miracle. For now we must Keep Watch and Pray.
We have the Seven Sorrows Rosary on the Forum, so we can follow it each day to make reparation to God for the idol worship at the Vatican. This was posted some while ago, as it was also recommended at Kibeho (spelling?) to appease the just anger of God. We need to say this Rosary to save us from what eventually happened in Rwanda. Our Lady said these things would spread to other countries. USA looks awful like it has spread there already.
Yes this is a wonderful devotion. As mon sum dignus said I too have felt called to pray a penitential Rosary every day--at least I try to. I am less successful with the "ashes".
St. Pope John Paul II, read the third message of Fatima and ii was nearly identical to the last Akita message. The Pope said he was reading it publicly to stop all of the ongoing speculation. No timeline was given in the message. If you have seen the movie "Garabandal" that was released in August of 2020, (its on streaming services like Amazon Prime and Roku), you can see that the Garabandal message was nearly identical to Fatima and to Akita, as well. Again, no timeline was given. Conchita said she will be "very old" when the warning, etc. occur. fyi

It’s a shame that this priest is the stand out exception rather than the rule. How low have we sunk....? We should never get used to this, but we’re being nudged to accept this! Geeezzzz
Jerome, I highlighted the above; we must remember that Conchita used the phrase "very old" when she was a teenager. Today she is 75, I believe. When I was a teenager (born 1954) and my Mom said she believed that the fulfillment of Fatima would take place in the 21st century, I thought , "Wow, I'll be really old by the time that happens!" Now that I'm almost 70, I think I still have a number of years left. It is all a matter of perspective. But then, I could be hit by a car and die tomorrow. All prophecy dating must be held tentatively in our hands. We must remind ourselves that in a true sense each of us will experience a "life review" at our personal judgment in the Presence of the Lord. If a Warning occurs before I die, at least I'll have an advantage over my Mom: a preparation and sense of how my personal judgment will be, and a clear sense of where change is needed in my life!
