Not just America... It is the same for practically all the Western (formerly Christian) countries. We have fallen. We have succumbed. I'd like to say that it's merely our leaders who have rejected God. But this is not true. The majority of the peoples of these countries have turned away from the living God. We will pay some form of retribution in this world..
Very good point. Maybe we’d like to think the problem lies exclusively with our leaders. But clearly this IS NOT what God has revealed to us. All leaders, whether democratically elected or not somehow are a reflection of the people they govern. For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest upon the land of the righteous, So that the righteous will not put forth their hands to do wrong. Psalm 125
Yes, Blizzard. The thoughts of so much wickedness in this fallen world made me think of the Ten Commandments. They aren’t exactly shouted from the rooftops these days.
This madness where it is ok to live pretty well any way you want just can’t go on. I am trying to keep getting to confession frequently- like I really could be going every week but I go at least once a month. It is so hard when talking to friends that have such different beliefs. I feel like a dummy trying not to agree in the slightest I’m not making much sense but I think you all know what I mean.
