Nicely said. I prayed for him and his family tonight. Something i don't generally do even though I should.
I have to confess I was so angered by this man coming to Ireland; claiming to be Irish and serenaded at Knock that I forgot to pray for him. May God have mercy in his soul.
I also felt annoyed about he being received in Knock. My husband insisted on watching a news item on his visit to a pub in Dundalk. He seemed very relaxed and happy in the company of his Irish cousins. I saw the human element in him and I began to pray for him then that Our Lady would bless him when he visited Knock. I think she did. I will continue to pray for him now.
However, just a tiny reminder… Ireland is a pretty good country for an American trying to hide their money. Just sayin’.
I was told by a friend this morning that Fr Jim needs prayers urgently as he is very sick with pneumonia. May our Lady intercede for him and save this priest whom we and the world dearly need.
I got this update forwarded to me, this time with a correction below from Mary Fernandez, who got confirmation from someone close to Fr Jim. It seems that he is unwell but not with pneumonia but he says he appreciated all the prayers which were needed - hopefully this is a blessed error! He is in Hungary now and giving a retreat to priests. I have just received a correction from someone who is very close to Father Blount: although it is true that he is not feeling up to par, he does NOT have pneumonia. Apparently, the word spread around that he wasn't feeling well, and the message got distorted in the process (like a game of telephone). So the great news is, he is NOT very ill, and he WILL be giving the retreat with the priests today! Praise God!! That being said, he wants everyone to know that he is very grateful for the prayers. He absolutely needs them, and he asks that you would continue to storm heaven for victory and his ministry. So please continue to pray for him today, that the Precious Blood of Jesus be poured over him and all the priests at this retreat today! Thank you so much!!
I'll post here as well as the other Father B thread. Father Blount has an excellent show on Quest Catholic radio in Atlanta. https://thequestatlanta.com/heavens-light/
Thanks from me too! Do the podcast link work for others? I get a "bad gateway" message and can't access any of Fr Jim's podcasts.
