  1. Is This What The ‘Great Sign’ Might Be?

    April 1, 2019 by sd

Is this what the “great sign” might be?

[IMG]It’s something that has been predicted at numerous sites of alleged apparitions. At Medjugorje, it was said a future sign coming to humanity at the site of apparitions — a hill called Podbrdo — will appear spontaneously and be permanent, beautiful, and indestructible, and all who come to Medjugorje will be able to see it. Noted one visionary, Vicka Ivankovic-Mijatovic, “Our Lady will leave a sign at the Hill of Apparitions, and everybody will see that She was truly present there and that it’s something from God. And the sign will be something that when you see it, it will be clear that it could not have been created by human hands. But you won’t see it from America, you’ll have to come there to see it.”

Such a sign has been prophesied from Spain to Ecuador. Even in Japan — at Akita, where a nun heard Mary — Our Lady spoke of the “signal left by my Son,” though this was after punishments (and falling fire).

“The survivors will find themselves so desolate that they will envy the dead. The only arms which will remain for you will be the Rosary and the Sign left by My Son.” Or so said the alleged missive from Heaven. Time will tell. Only time will discern some of these things.

[IMG]It is the opinion of an alleged priest-mystic, Father Adam Skwarczynski (only for discernment), that, as Forums of the Virgin Mary reports, the sign “will come among the main regional and world events. The Polish priest saw the events, while the northern hemisphere was covered in snow. Something similar to a cloud? A fog? A fire? And in the night as a sublime focus, a prism, an aurora?”

It is noted that the Great Sign of Fatima was an aurora borealis.

But this, it seems, is different, and will last longer — more like what occurred at Mount Sinai. And, indeed, pilgrims have seen wispy “smoke” rise in a ephemeral fashion from the highlands at that apparition site.

[IMG]In Spain a “miracle” was prophesied to one day occur there — again, on a mountain — at the same time as a rare event in the Church. In Ecuador, one is expected high up the Andes near Cuencha.

Said the priest (video of him below): “The miracle is presumed to be like the cloud that falls to the ground under which the Jews found refuge, the pillar of cloud that guided them for forty years.

“At night, the column of cloud looked like a pillar of fire.

“It will be a kind of finger of God touching the earth.

“A proclamation to the people, who are given one last chance to repent and recognize the fatherly authority of God over each one and want to show their love. It is an ultimatum for man.”

“It could be (as the Polish priest says he saw as a child in a vision) a ‘sign’ that goes back to what happened in Moses’ time,” notes Forums. “A phenomenon similar to the cloud on the hill during the day, and a kind of column of light at night. Perhaps exquisitely subtle, perhaps right between the natural and the supernatural, which still allows (like the dawn of 1938, during the aurora borealis that was the Great Sign of Fatima) to leave free will belief or skepticism.” Is it simply his rendering of prophecies heard from elsewhere? And amalgam? Should not we mostly focus on the signs in our own lives, during prayer during Lent?

Or might it reflect upon the anonymous 1990 prophecy, in which Jesus supposedly said, “I will come in towering light. My mother held me in her arms at Medjugorje, as an infant. I will come as she has come, in light.”

[Father Skwarczynski video: for very careful discernment only; please note that Spirit Daily does not necessarily endorse any mentioned mystics]:

[Footnote: excerpts from an interview of Vicka with a priest named Father Janko Bubalo:

Janko: “Tell me where the Virgin will give that sign.

Vicka: “On Podbrdo. At the sight of the first apparitions.

Janko: “Will the sign be in the Heavens or on earth?

    Vicka: “On earth.

Janko: “Will it appear spontaneously, or will it gradually appear?

    Vicka: “Spontaneously.

Janko: “Will everyone be able to see it?

    Vicka: “Whoever comes here will.

Janko: “Will the sign be temporary, or will it be permanent?

    Vicka: “Permanent.

Janko: “Will the sign be able to be destroyed by anyone?

    Vicka: “By no one.

    Janko: “You think that or…

    Vicka: “The Virgin said so.

Janko: “Do you know exactly what the sign will be?

    Vicka: “Exactly!

Janko: “Do you know when the Virgin will make it evident to the rest of us?

    Vicka: “I know that also.

Janko: “And why is the Virgin leaving the sign here?

Vicka: “Why to show the people that She is here among us…I’ll just say this: whoever does not believe without a sign will not believe with a sign. And, I’ll tell you this too: woe to him who delays his conversion, waiting for the sign. I once told you that many would come, and perhaps, even kneel before the sign, but will, nonetheless, not believe. Be happy that you are not among them!”]

I have read this before a while ago and this has never left my mind. I believe our Holy Mother and I wait for the Great sign from God. Virgin Mary has been appearing at medgegorie for a long, long time now, giving us profound messages from heaven. All of this means something to all humanity. This has been God trying again to tell us something before its to late.
Thanks for posting this. I hope others that did not know this will read this and a seed may grow in their heart.

    God bless....

This is something that I posted a few months ago:

There has been reference to Our Lady repeatedly saying that the Medjugorje secrets are contained in the Scriptures and, inevitably, this has led people to look to the Apocalypse but I think that She may be pointing elsewhere and specifically to Exodus. Within days of my first pilgrimage there, I saw something supernatural (shared only by one other person that I could trace) that linked the time of the Medj. apparitions to the wandering of the Jews for 40 years before they reached the promised land. Various other events and statements I heard strengthened this link in my mind. The reference on these pages and elsewhere to the expected 'sign' at various sites of Marian apparitions taking the form of a pillar of fire (see Exodus) is another 'link' to the wandering of the chosen people. So, I am reaching the conclusion that the sign might well be given to us forty years after the beginning of the apparitions which would be 2021.

You know, I have myself put a lot of thought ino this trying to figure out.what it might be. What you have said does make sense to me but we still I believe wont know untill the sign has been given. Its still interesting to think and wonder about this. I guess we will just keep the faith and believe and wait on God for it, in His way and His time.......God bless.....

Here is the April 2, 2019 Message received by Mirjana Soldo:

"Dear children, as a mother who knows her children, I know that you are crying out for my Son. I know that you are crying out for truth, for peace, for that which is pure and not deceptive. That is why I, as a mother, through the love of God, am addressing you and calling you that, by prayer and a pure and open heart within yourselves, you may come to know my Son - His love, His merciful heart.

"My Son saw beauty in all things. He seeks the good in all souls-even that which is little and hidden-so as to forgive evil. Therefore, my children, apostles of my love, I am calling you to adore Him, to ceaselessly give Him thanks, and to be worthy. Because He has spoken to you divine words, the words of God, the words which are for all and forever.

"Therefore, my children, live joy, radiance, unity and mutual love. This is what you need in today's world. In this way you will be apostles of my love. In this way you will witness my Son in the right way. Thank you"

  6. RE: Priests (linked to on Spirit Daily today)

    Quesitons and Answers with Mirjana

The following was taken from a question and answer session with Mirjana on November 11, 2018. These questions were chosen for this month because Holy Thursday is the day we celebrate the institution of the priesthood.
Q: [from a priest] Thank you for saying, "Yes" to Our Lord Jesus to be His messenger through Our Lady, who is His Mother and Our Mother. I know it’s difficult to be a messenger, especially with the history behind it. My question is, "Did Our Lady mention to you about a specific prayer for priests?"
M: First of all, thank you for beautiful words. But as you know, Our Lady teaches me one thing - that I am below everybody else, and when you thank me, I feel uncomfortable because it is going opposite direction to what She taught me… And you did everything. Who would I be speaking to if you guys [priests] had not said, "Yes"? That is why I think we all should thank the Heavenly Father for the love that He gives us. And I’m kindly asking from all of you to pray for me to be able to do everything the way Our Lady desires it, so that I may be Her messenger, but the way the messenger is supposed to be. And I’ve been praying for you since the moment when you came, so that you may comprehend why you are here and what it is that God wants from you.
And talking about priests - the prayer that Our Lady wants to use for them is prayer that we say with our heart. I must not say many things yet, but from the depths of my heart, I’m telling you - pray for priests! Do not judge them. Without our shepherds, we are nothing. We are lost scattered sheep. For me, it should be the way it is here in Medjugorje - that is how it’s supposed to be in the entire world. For example, here in Medjugorje (this entire region, in fact), when [a] priest enters into a family, we all stand up. No one starts to talk or sits down before the priest does that, because we know that through him, Jesus is entering our home. And it isn’t our task to judge whether he truly represents Jesus or not. Dear God will do that. We have to have respect, love, and prayer. It is easy to judge, but it is hard to love…

Painting of Mirjana in her dining room

Let me give you an example. You, in the United States, in your parishes you see a priest who doesn’t do the way you think he should do, but then you judge and you judge and you go around and you talk about it. What did you change? You just wounded yourself and those who were listening to you. But if you took the rosary instead and prayed for him, praying for Jesus to do something and to act - because Jesus changes the world… That is what I always desire to say to pilgrims: love your priests. Without them, you’re lost sheep. Even Our Lady puts priests above Herself. And do not ever forget that Our Lady says, "Only their hands give blessing of My Son." For everything they do, they will respond to God for, same as we will respond to God for everything we have been doing. I will not respond for him [gesturing to priest next to her], but I will respond for myself.
Q: You know in the United States there’s a lot of situations going on with priests… When you say, "Pray for priests and put them above," but when you brought them into your home and loved them and then they have done wrong, how do you get over that?
M: I understand what you are talking about. It is a great pain, but do not forget one thing - the symbol of our faith, the sign of our faith, is [the] cross, so we should know how to carry the cross. And if Jesus puts a cross on you, if He leans on you, you have to say, "Thank you, Jesus, because you saw that I’m capable to [carry it], but do not leave me alone. Remain with me so that we can carry it together." That is the way I look at things. I do suffer when I hear things like that. I have a stomach ache when I hear it, but I do not open my mouth, just for prayer. No, I do not make comments. I think that’s the way Our Lady desires. I think because if we start to make a comment, it will never end, and I will just do the opposite - as if, in a certain way I take in my hands what only dear God is supposed to do. That is why I pray, so that God may do. But I would also like to say one thing - media does such things as well. Through media, you only hear some bad things that are done by priests. You don’t hear anything good. And priests do wonderful, beautiful things daily throughout the world, in missions throughout the world, and media doesn’t write about it. But we should be those who will be speaking exactly about this - their voice.

Amen. How amazing it is to read that. I feel like I am reading one of the Saints of old when I see holy Mirjana's devotion to Christ in His Priests. Very convincing to me that these are the good fruits of an authentic visionary.

This is from Our Lady's message from the full article there, "Message to Mirjana on March 18, 2019 Mirjana Dragicevic-Soldo had daily apparitions from June 24, 1981 to December 25, 1982. During the last daily apparition, Our Lady gave her the 10th secret, and told her that She would appear to her every year on March 18. Although March 18 is Mirjana’s birthday, she maintains this is not the reason for her apparition that day. My children! As a mother, as the Queen of Peace, I am calling you to accept my Son so that He can grant you peace of soul— that He can grant you that which is just, which is good for you. My children, my Son knows you. He lived the life of man, and at the same time of God: a wondrous life—human flesh, divine Spirit. Therefore, my children, while my Son is looking at you with His eyes of God, He penetrates into your hearts. His tender, warm eyes are looking for Himself in your heart. My children, can He find Himself [there]? Accept Him, and then the moments of pain and suffering will become moments of tenderness. Accept Him, and you will have peace in [your] soul—you will spread it to all those around you—and this is what you now need the most. Heed me, my children. Pray for the Shepherds, for those whose hands my Son has blessed. Thank you"

And there is this nice short article: "The Confession of Saint Patrick begins with the words, “I, Patrick, a sinner, a most simple countryman, the least of all the faithful and most contemptible to many.” Yet, God saw to use this sinner to convert a nation and transform Western Europe. Patrick, at heart, was a Priest of the people. A Priest for the people – that is a term that we must keep in mind each day to support our Priests. The cleansing that is going on now in the Catholic Church is necessary for the Church to complete its mission on earth: preparing us for the coming of Christ. Our Priests are on the front line in this final battle. That is why they are under so much attack. When I was in Medjugorje, I went to Confession to a young Irish Priest. For my penance, he asked me to pray for the Priests in Ireland. From the way that he said it, I knew that he was being publicly humiliated for wearing the collar and showing himself to be another Christ. Our good Priests are on the Cross today, attacked by the world. There is something we can do. Using Patrick’s own breastplate, we can pray to Him Who bore our sins. Christ, be with your Priests. Christ, guard them from every danger. Christ, let our Priests arise each day and give them the courage and strength they need through the invocation of the Trinity, through belief in the Threeness, through confession of the Oneness of the Creator of Creation." http://www.spiritofmedjugorje.org/issues/April2019pdf.pdf

“Dear children! This is a time of grace, a time of mercy for each of you. Little children, do not permit that the wind of hatred and peacelessness rule in you and around you. You, little children, are called to be love and prayer. The devil wants peacelessness and disorder, but you, little children, be the joy of the risen Jesus who died and resurrected for each of you. He conquered death to give you life, eternal life. Therefore, little children, witness and be proud that you have resurrected in Him. Thank you for having responded to my call.”

It's good that Our Lady reminds us about the devil in this latest message and the damage he causes.

So important how she mentions peacefulness twice and joy. So hard to do sometimes but it seems to be how we witness to others especially during this dark time.

Our Lady is surely mentioning the 'time of grace' in her messages with more frequency. Here is a link to a message search https://www.medjugorje.ws/index.php...sages&lan=en&findmode=aa&highlight=1&count=30 She has reminded us about the time of grace lately in April 2017, Oct. 2017, Nov. 2017, Feb. 2018, March 2018, August 2018, Oct. 2018, Nov. 2018, Dec. 2018, Feb. 2019. March 2019, and now April 2019 . Since she said This is a time of grace, a time of mercy for each of you. Could it be that she is equating the time of grace and the time of mercy? That would reflect the Divine mercy messages that say once the time of mercy is over, then comes the time of judgement. Witnessing in the right way is really hard for me. I have been direct in my criticism of others and it has cost me friendships and other treasured relationships. I find it really tough to witness correctly.

This is the only time that the phrase 'time of mercy' has been used in the messages -- we are living through Divine Mercy.

With regard to witness remember Jesus said not to cast your pearls before the swine. No point in wasting words for those who will not listen -- this we need to discern - between those who are open and those who are closed --

Most people are closed at the minute but things are coming down the line that are going to shake this generation -- and then we will be busy as they will want to know why we are not afraid when the very foundations are collapsing.

He who prays is not afraid of evil nor the future.

Dear children, with a motherly love I am calling you to respond to the great love of my Son, with pure and open hearts, with complete trust. I know the greatness of His love. I carried Him within me, the Host in the heart, the light and the love of the world. My children, also my addressing you is a sign of the love and tenderness of the Heavenly Father—a big smile filled with the love of my Son, a call to eternal life.
Out of love, the Blood of my Son was shed for you. That Precious Blood is for your salvation, for eternal life. The Heavenly Father created man for eternal happiness. It is not possible—for you who know the love of my Son and who follow Him—to die. Life triumphed; my Son is alive. Therefore, my children, apostles of my love, may prayer show you the way and the means of spreading the love of my Son—prayer in the most exalted form.
My children, also when you strive to live the words of my Son, you are praying. When you love the people whom you meet, you are spreading the love of my Son. It is love that opens the doors of Paradise. My children, from the beginning, I prayed for the Church. Therefore, I am also calling you, apostles of my love, to pray for the Church and her servants—for those whom my Son called. Thank you.

    Happy Mother's Day!

    Pope authorizes pilgrimages to Medjugorje
The announcement was made by the Apostolic Visitator, Henryk Hoser and the Apostolic Nuncio. Ad Interim Director Gisotti: "Attention given to favouring and promoting the fruits of good", but this does not mean "an authentication of known events".

    Massimiliano Menichetti - Vatican City

Pope Francis has decided to authorize pilgrimages to Medjugorje, which can now be officially organized by dioceses and parishes and will no longer take place only in a private capacity which as has so far been the case. The announcement was made today during Mass, at the parish shrine which has become a destination for millions of pilgrims, by the Apostolic Nuncio Luigi Pezzuto in Bosnia-Herzegovina and Archbishop Henryk Hoser, the Holy See's Special Apostolic Visitator.

Pilgrimages do not authenticate known events

The "ad interim" director of the Holy See Press Office, Alessandro Gisotti, responding to journalists' questions about the announcement, specified that the papal authorization must be accompanied by "care to prevent these pilgrimages from being interpreted as an authentication of known events, which still require examination by the Church. Therefore, care must be taken to avoid creating confusion or ambiguity from the doctrinal point of view regarding such pilgrimages. This also concerns pastors of every order and level who intend to go to Medjugorje and celebrate or concelebrate there even in a solemn way".

    Pastoral attention

"Considering the considerable flow of people who go to Medjugorje and the abundant fruits of grace that have sprung from it - continued Gisotti - this authorization is part of the particular pastoral attention that the Holy Father intended to give to that reality, aimed at encouraging and promoting the fruits of good".

The apostolic visitator, concluded the ad interim director, "will have, in this way, greater ease in establishing - relations with the priests in charge of organizing pilgrimages to Medjugorje, as well as, safe and well-prepared persons, offering them information and indications to be able to fruitfully conduct such pilgrimages, - in agreement with the ordinary people of the place.”

The Pope's decision comes a year after the appointment of Hoser, Archbishop Emeritus of Warszawa-Prague in Poland, as "Apostolic Visitator for the Parish of Medjugorje, on May 31, 2018.

Both that nomination and today's announcement do not, therefore, enter into doctrinal questions relating to the authenticity of the account of the six visionaries of what has happened in Medjugorje since June 1981, a phenomenon that has not yet been concluded. Of the six visionaries, at that time children or young people, three assure us that they still have a daily apparition of the "Queen of Peace", always at the same time in the afternoon and wherever they are: they are Vicka (who lives in Medjugorje), Marija (who lives in Monza) and Ivan (who lives in the United States but often returns home). A fourth visionary, Mirjana, says that she receives an apparition every month, on the 2nd, while for the last two this happens once a year.

So the Bishop of Mostar does not have the final word. This is going to confuse the "It's disobedient to go to Medjugorje." sceptics.

I like Archbishop Hoser so much. He is so supportive of Medjugorje. He has done so much to try to attract people to go and experience the gift of sacramental Confession. A few months ago I was reading something by Patrick Madrid, an American Catholic apologist who is skeptical about Medjugorje. He had multiple links to the Diocese of Mostar in his article. When I went to click on the links, there were defunct! Then I went to the Diocese of Mostar website to read what exactly they say about Medjugorje and I found nothing negative. Archbishop Hoser has said in interviews that he keeps in touch with Bishop Peric and there is no strain in the relationship. I also think Bishop Peric is 75 years old now and may be looking to retire.
