As has been mentioned by other posters, I do believe big events are right around the corner...perhaps when the vote for the next pope takes place. My question for others here is do you think the events will be "big" even to those away from the church or religion? Will the blind recognize these events as extraordinary? Of course no one knows...but just wondering what other people's thoughts are? Obviously lighting striking the vatican twice on the day of resignation and a meteor hitting Russia shortly there after and not to mention the earthquake in Rome are events we recognize as probably warnings...what will it take for the blind to recognize a sign from God?

and I do think that this is the year March 18th is a significant date. In the world of Medjugorje, March 18th will be a significant date, and I finally think it is this year. It might be the date that the new pope is announced.

As the door opens on this new year, the scene is familiar. The old problems carry over, refusing to be left behind. Now I must speak about my Church which carries the burdens of the centuries of sins that have weighed her down. She troops on valiantly, trying to free herself of the recent darkness, but unable to put all the stories behind her. Just when it seems that the scandals are over, new ones surface and are told everywhere. Such is my valiant Church, always trying to keep its light on the goodness of my Son, Jesus, but enduring the pain that the light is too often cast upon its own sins.
Yet, she remains my Church, the one I clutch to my heart and the Church that preaches my prerogatives. This will be her greatness. Let her not be ashamed to proclaim my Immaculate Heart. Let her exalt this heart and tell the world that it can be safe only in my heart. Let this devotion come to the foreground because those who come into my heart will find the Blessed Sacrament and the warmest devotion to my Son’s Real Presence.
The door opens out upon a new year filled with the unknown. How I want to guide mankind more than any other year. This year will begin the open confrontation between light and darkness, between the kingdom of my Son and the kingdom of Satan. I say “open confrontation” because the battle has always been going on, but this year the hidden forces will come out into the open. Satan wants to sweep away entire nations and he cannot accomplish this in hidden ways. Also, it will serve his purposes. Those who are committed to his darkness will rejoice in these victories and will look forward to their own victories.
The Church will have her own shakings. There will be the scandals, but these will be secondary. Much will come to light. Much will be uncovered. All of this is to purify, not to chastise. Only a purified Church can be my instrument in this special year.
Now I will come to the central point so there will be no mistake. The Cardinals will meet to elect a pope but an extraordinary intervention of God will occur that will alert the whole world to the special nature of this office. They will seek to discern this intervention, to grasp what is the will of God, but everything will not be clear at first. Some, however, will speak in divine wisdom and the search will begin to find the one whom God wants to raise up. He will not come forward at first, even though he knows that he is chosen by God. He will wait until the discussion is concluded and the Cardinals are settled. Then new manifestations will occur which will signal clearly the one whom the heavenly Father wants as his Pope. This will be a complete surprise to the world and to the Church but not to the one upon whom the mantle falls. This is my chosen son, the one whom I have picked. I want all of this to happen in a startling manner so the world and the Church know that this one was chosen by heaven, by God and not by men. He will be prepared because I will have prepared him. He will be the pope of Fatima and bring to fruition all of the gifts of Fatima, just in time to prepare the Church and the world for the Satanic onslaught.
Comment: The whole world pays great attention to papal elections. The next election will have some added signs of God’s hand.

This message of 1/1/12 served as a glimpse of challenges and struggles in both the world and the Church for the then coming year. The section concerning open confrontation was rather vague and unspecific. However, when I first read the content of this locution, the mention of the conclave grabbed my utmost attention. I made two immediate assumptions. First, that Pope Benedict would die in 2012 and consequently a conclave would be held. Obviously, at that time the idea of resignation was missing from everyone’s radar screen. Second, there would take place some form of extraordinary intervention at the time of the conclave.

The first assumption was the basis for my statement in the questioned post. One may argue that prayer impacts timetables; I will not put up a fight with that issue. We are left with the mention of an extraordinary intervention that the world and Church will witness. Now, that prediction cannot be altered by any shift in timing. So we shall see very soon the authenticity of this locutionist’s claim to be recording the words of Mary.

Safe in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary!

    Thanks Mario.
This is where I thought the confusion came from.
And yes, I too await eagerly for God's manifestation around the election of the next Pope.
    Peace!

Pope Benedict's earlier prophecy stated in a series of 1969-70 radios addresses on German and Vatican radio. These were published in 2009 in the book, Faith and the Future.

“The church will become small and will have to start afresh more or less from the beginning.
She will no longer be able to inhabit many of the edifices she built in prosperity. As the number of her adherents diminishes…she will lose many of her social privileges…. As a small society, [the Church] will make much bigger demands on the initiative of her individual members…."
"…But when the trial of this sifting is past, a great power will flow from a more spiritualized and simplified Church. Men in a totally planned world will find themselves unspeakably lonely. If they have completely lost sight of God, they will feel the whole horror of their poverty. Then they will discover the little flock of believers as something wholly new. They will discover it as a hope that is meant for them, an answer for which they have always been searching in secret.
And so it seems certain to me that the Church is facing very hard times. The real crisis has scarcely begun. We will have to count on terrific upheavals. But I am equally certain about what will remain at the end: not the Church of the political cult, which is dead already, but the Church of faith. She may well no longer be the dominant social power to the extent that she was until recently; but she will enjoy a fresh blossoming and be seen as man’s home, where he will find life and hope beyond death.”

I've been toying with the idea of posting the following and have decided to give it a go now.
I feel that something significant happened but then maybe it didn't...

For most of this year my 6 yr old daughter has been getting increasingly reluctant to go to school. After a while, approx early Feb, she started to ask me to give her something to remember me by when she would be getting out of the car. Short of options, I gave her a rosary beads (wooden beads on string).
Every evening I would ask for it back and she would give it to me, and we'd have the same ritual the next day...
On the day after Benedict XVI resigned I asked her for the beads as I had forgotten the day before. She said she'd lost them in school. Later on as I drove in the car with my daughters we prayed a Hail Mary to St. Anthony that somebody who needs the beads would find them (me and St. A don't have a great track record!)
The next day I decided to look for snowdrops and walked out onto the lawn. My attention was quickly drawn to a big dog poo on my path. But then I noticed the rosary beads under the poo.
When I bent down I realized that it was only the crucifix that was under the poo, and when I went to pick it up I saw that the string was cut through. I assumed the offending dog had chewed it.
I carefully gathered up the beads and continued on my way to look for snowdrops. I then noticed that I only had 9 of the beads off the broken section. When I went back I easily found the poo and with careful looking found the 10th bead.
I put the whole thing into a mesh bag and into the washing machine.
When I took them out I realized that all the beads were intact. This would be almost impossible if a dog had chewed through the string. And the cut in the sting was quite a definite cut, not frayed or chewed up.
I felt that something diabolical was afoot and decided to sprinkle the poo with Holy Water but when I went out the area of the lawn where I expected to find it was poo free. OK this was 2 days later but this stuff doesn't just disappear, unfortunately!
I liberally sprinkled the area with Holy Water and have been musing on the matter ever since.

In my head it seems that on the day Benedict renounced his ministry, my rosary was attacked - poo on the crucifix and the rope cut through... am I nuts??????

I am however concerned about your little girl being so scared for you. You need to rock her and ask her why. Sometimes kids think if they tell something it will happen. She sounds like a sweetheart!

    Sweetheart she is!
She just wants to stay home with me... which would be great until about 10.30am, and just pure bedlam after that I'd guess.
Full credit to you home-schoolers, I'm just a little bit too pre-occupied with self-interest to manage it.

Does anyone in your family have high anxiety Bartimaeus? Or is your daughter having problems in school that she doesn't want to talk about?

High anxiety can be hereditary or there could be something going on here. I don't mean something evil.

My daughter has OCD and was kind of like this when she was about 8. I am not saying that your daughter is the same, but if someone is going through an anxious time or something that makes them very stressful, it can show itself in scary thoughts etc. Or her worried that something is going to happen to you.

She doesn't have difficulties in her lessons reading/writing, get frustrated?

A child in the school isn't seriously ill or disabled? A sensitive child can be so overcome by this that they worry about members of their family being ill etc.

Is your daughter sensitive? Takes things to heart?

Has she had any problems with other children?

Help her voice her thoughts. My daughter used to think that something awful was going to happen to me, or that she would be sick or die or something.

I am not saying for one moment that it is the same thing, but there is some form of anxiety there?

What is she like with a room full of people? Does she like socializing etc, or very shy?

If she is painfully shy, then social settings can be quite daunting and cause anxiety.

Sorry, to throw all these thoughts out there, but it sounds like there is something going on.

I shall pray for you both during my Holy Hour tomorrow. :)

Someone sent me this yesterday. This information together with that available on
    http://www.locutions.org/2013/02/the-resignation-as-a-sign/

(if true) would point to a very long conclave with a very unexpected outcome and a Pope who loves Our Lady and is the Pope foretold at Fatima. I believe that we can expect the victory of the Immaculate Heart in the times of the forthcoming Pope.

Antonio Ruffini was born in Rome in 1907 on the 8 December, the feast of the Immaculate Conception. He was named in honour of St Anthony, the eldest of three boys and lived in a devout family with a very caring attitude to the poor. His mother died when Antonio was very young. Antonio only had a primary school education but, from an early age, he prayed with his heart rather than from books. He had his first vision of Jesus and Mary when he was 17 years old. He saved his money and went to Africa as a lay missionary. He stayed for a year visiting all the villages, entering the huts to take care of the sick and to baptise the newborns. He went back to Africa a few more times and seemed to have the gift of xenoglossy, which is the ability to speak and understand foreign languages without ever having studied them. He even knew the dialects of the various tribes. He was also a healer in Africa . He would ask the people questions about their ailments and then God would heal them with the herbal remedies that Antonio would find, boil and hand out. He didn’t know what he was doing - it was all instinctive. Word soon got around to the other villages. Antonio Ruffini had the stigmata on his hands for over 40 years. They went clear through his palms and have been examined by doctors, who could offer no rational explanation. In spite of the fact that the wounds went clear through his hands they never become infected. Venerable Pope Pius XII authorized the blessing of a chapel on the spot where Ruffini received the stigmata on the Via Appia, and Father Tomaselli, the miracle worker, wrote a booklet about him. Riffuni is also reported to have had the gift of bilocation.
As can be seen from the picture at the top of this email, the piercings of his stigmata were wide and very deep. After receiving the stigmata Antonio became a member of the Third Order of St Francis and took a vow of obedience. He was a very humble man. Whenever someone asked to see the stigmata, he would mumble a short prayer, kiss the crucifix, remove his gloves and say: “Here they are. Jesus gave me these wounds and, if He wants, He can take them away.”
    RUFFINI ON THE NEXT POPE
Father Kramer some years ago wrote these comments with regard to Antonio Ruffini: “I myself knew Ruffini for many years. In the early 1990s Ruffini was asked point blank in his home: “Is John Paul II the Pope who is going to do the Consecration of Russia ?” He answered: “No, it’s not John Paul. It will not be his immediate successor either, but the one after that. HE IS THE ONE WHO WILL CONSECRATE RUSSIA .”

Absolutely. There are many graces that can only come through her. The grace of obedience and humility are two very obvious ones as we try to imitate her.

She is the new Eve and was constantly gaining graces for us right the way throughout her life.

Take the finding of Jesus in the Temple for example. Mary and Joseph were two exemplary parents who had to run with Jesus and hide him from Herod and even live in the desert with Him for a time. They would not be so lapse as to lose him. How did this happen and why did it have to happen?

Jesus was 12. They were coming back from a Pilgrimage. In those days women and men traveled separately. All the men together and all the women together. Children traveled with their mothers. Young men with their fathers.

Now being that Jesus was 12, Mary thought that he was travelling with Joseph. Joseph thought that he was travelling with Mary as he had done all his life when they went on these kind of pilgrimages. Now this is understandable for any parent to think this way, but Joseph and Mary after all their tribulations and knowing the full truth about Jesus and how Satan would like to be rid of Him. This doesn't make sense when you look at the complete picture, yet God The Father permitted this to happen. It was in keeping with his will.

When Mary lost and then found her beloved boy, she was actually gaining graces for us so that when we lost sight of God we would be able to find Him again. :)

All these graces and more will become apparent when this final dogma is proclaimed, but it will cause the bowels of hell to turn over as they will be furious as they know the power that this will bring about, so they will go all out to pull people away from God as the idiot downstairs has tried to do with various saints and even with Jesus Himself. When he can't tear them away, he torments them instead, causes intense suffering and even kills them (with the aid of men who listen to him).

This fifth dogma will proclaim and so will begin a turn of events (that God is completely in control of, all we have to do is trust Him, that is all He asks) that will eventually bring about the Era Of Living in the Divine Will or as I like to say.... God will have His garden of Eden back. :D The whole Church will be one again, Jews, Greeks, all Christians under the one fold with a Pope at the helm and Masses going on for about 3 hours long. Amazing, Fantastic, can't wait for that.
