    The answer is 'No' Florida Panther. The reason I am choosing to make 9 First Saturdays is because I read somewhere; when Jesus was asked why 9 First Fridays and 5 First Saturday. Jesus replied, Blessed Mother only asked for 5 First Saturdays because of her humility. She did not think she should have as many as Her Divine Son when He asked for 9 First Fridays.

    I wanted to try and offer extra, and very glad too; now that we read of the insults and offenses against Blessed Mother. There is an article linked on this site to 'The Guardian' newspaper 24th December which is appalling. And we have heard of the ignorant evil satanic drama queens in Oklahoma trying to get publicity at the expense of degrading Our Blessed Heavenly Mother.

    Julia trying to say 'sorry Blessed Mother, they know not what they do.'

    I do feel the world or worldly are pushing God very close to permitting disasters that will bring us all to our knees. I hope those of us who can make the First Friday and First Saturday devotion in atonement for the sins and outrages may bring conversion and repentance rather than conversion through terror and fear which it seems like we are heading to if the world does not wake up and smell the Holy Coffee - so to speak. :)

    9th First Friday completed yesterday praise God.

    9th First Saturday completed today praise God.

    And now to start reading from that beautiful book linked in the thread "Divine Will." To start with, I hope to read from the beginning ready to do one hour per day from the 24 Hours of the Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ, from the writings of Luisa Picceratta. To start 10th February, Ash Wednesday.

    I read in the book that if only one person in each town or city read these hours in reparation for so many sins committed, the Lord would have Mercy on those towns. The more towns, the more Mercy. So lets get started.

    Praise God - another First Friday and First Saturday!
    My 15 minute meditation as requested by Our Lady for First Saturday offered for your discernment:

    Meditation of the Presentation

    During the Mass, I become a Bethlehem. The cave where Jesus is to be born is inside my heart. I try to prepare a place fit for Him to be born, but it is cold and dark inside, and yet, He chooses to be born here.

    Upon His arrival, my cave becomes all Light and the darkness and cold within disappear. Mother Mary wraps Him tightly in my heart as She wrapped Him in swaddling clothes. The Lord is now with Me! I go to bring Him to others. It is time to present Him to God the Father; I bring Him within me to the temple (the Mass) to present Him to the Father. He leaves my heart as He leaves the arms of Our Mother to be placed in the arms of Simeon (the Priest). Simeon takes Him into his arms and blesses God. ("My eyes have seen your salvation which you prepared in sight of all the peoples." My eyes look at Jesus in the Eucharist – our salvation – prepared in sight of all the people at the Mass. Then Jesus is given back to me as Simeon handed Him back to Mary. This “sign that will be contradicted” is now with me. As I carry Him with me, I know that I too become a sign of contradiction.

    Julia,
    This was actually told to Sister Natalia of Hungary. This is what she said regarding the Five First Saturdays:
    "I did not realize that the Blessed Virgin at Fatima asked for only Five First Saturdays, in comparison with the Nine First Saturdays mentioned in the Messages I received. Consequently, the authorities of the Church wanted me to ask the Savior why He asked for nine, while Mary asked for only five. The Divine Savior replied: "The request of My Mother for Five Saturdays is a sign of Her humility and consequently, She did not consider Herself worthy of receiving a devotion that is equal to Mine. My request is a sign of My love, I cannot bear the idea of demanding more for Me than for My Mother who is united with Me in Love."

    Sister Natalie was not speaking to Our Lord. That is certain.

    It is sometimes asked why Our Lady asked for Communions of reparation on five first Saturdays, instead of some other number. Our Blessed Lord answered that question when He appeared to Sr. Lucia May 29, 1930. He explained that it was because of five kinds of offenses and blasphemies against the Immaculate Heart of Mary, namely: blasphemies against her Immaculate Conception, against her perpetual virginity, against the divine and spiritual maternity of Mary, blasphemies involving the rejection and dishonoring of her images, and the neglect of implanting in the hearts of children a knowledge and love of this Immaculate Mother.

    You can believe the Lord who spoke to Sr Lucy,
    or the Lord who spoke to Sr Natalie.
    They are not the same.

    Thank you Mac for the information on the 5 main offenses we seek to make reparation for on 5 first Saturdays.

    You have peeked my interest now; can you share what the 9 main offenses we seek to make reparation for on 9 first Fridays.

    It is funny in a peculiar way you know; because I had heard before internet days about the humility aspect of the request for doing just 5 first Saturdays. Nowadays we get bombarded with facts and wonder if we should share anything about what motivates us to try and please our Lord and Blessed Mother as much as possible.

    I will continue to try and honour every First Saturday and First Friday; and unite my poor efforts with all those Prayer Warriors out there who long to please the Lord and His Blessed Mother, no matter what people say.

    The humility aspect of doing just 5 Saturdays doesnt ring true anyway. It requires probably more time and prayer to fulfill the 5 Saturdays than the 9 Fridays if one makes the 15m meditaion, say the rosary ,get to confession.

    While I have tried to make the 9 Fridays many times ,I have completed it only twice.
    Why 9?
    Because that is what Our Lord asked for.

    From the writings of St. Margaret Mary:

    "On Friday during Holy Communion, He said these words to His unworthy slave, if I mistake not: I promise you in the excessive mercy of my Heart that its all-powerful love will grant to all those who receive Holy Communion on nine first Fridays of consecutive months the grace of final repentance; they will not die under my displeasure or without receiving their sacraments, my divine Heart making itself their assured refuge at the last moment."

    With regard to this promise it may be remarked:

    (1) that our Lord required Communion to be received on a particular day chosen by Him;

    (2) that the nine Fridays must be consecutive;

    (3) that they must be made in honor of His Sacred Heart, which means that those who make the nine Fridays must practice the devotion and must have a great love for our Lord;

    (4) that our Lord does not say that those who make the nine Fridays will be dispensed from any of their obligations or from exercising the vigilance necessary to lead a good life and overcome temptation; rather He implicitly promises abundant graces to those who make the nine Fridays to help them to carry out these obligations and persevere to the end;

    (5) that perseverance in receiving Holy Communion for nine consecutive First Firdays helps the faithful to acquire the habit of frequent Communion, which our Lord eagerly desires; and

    (6) that the practice of the nine Fridays is very pleasing to our Lord since He promises such great reward, and that all Catholics should endeavor to make the nine Fridays.

    As we approach the First Friday in March and the First Saturday. I would love to share with you all, there is an article in Sprit Daily today about Our Lady of Guadaloupe. It is the article linked under the picture which appears on the Main Page, not the Headline at the top.

    In this article I discovered something new and outstanding about the image itself. It appears that if a light is shone on the eyes of the Image of Our Lady of Guadaloupe, the eyes react just like living eyes; that is to say they expand and contract in response to the light. Is that extraordinary or what. A Miracle.

    Confess and receive Holy Communion
    On February 15, 1926 the Child Jesus alone came to visit Sr. Lucia and asked if the devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary was being propagated. Sr. Lucia spoke of a difficulty some people have in confessing on the first Saturday, and asked if they might be allowed eight days in order to fulfill Our Lady's requests. Jesus answered: "Yes, even more time still, as long as they receive Me in the state of grace and have the intention of making reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary."

    Just to keep the First Friday and First Saturday reminder going.

    I have managed to make the First Friday this evening, thank God.

    Tomorrow is the First Saturday, don't forget everyone.

    And to share a little piece from Mark Mallet's latest post which got my attention big time....................

    "American mother named Jennifer, received an interior locution recently in which Jesus allegedly said:
    If man only knew the significance of this “time of mercy” and the merit of graces the soul obtains by turning to it, he would be gathering the graces like flowers in the meadow, for I tell you this: the pendulum has swung in a direction that man has chosen, for the time of mercy is here. —private text to me, May 4th, 2016"
