I know that when people grow older they can often become cranky and wear primrose glasses and be very negative. So perhaps I am wrong in this. But over the last few weeks I have been thinking how very, very blessed I am to be working the night shift, very often on my own and usually with just one other person.

Why? Well for about an hour in the morning I do get in contact with the day shift and I find it unnerving. To put it bluntly that are not on the whole nice people. When I was younger I think I couldn't even see such things. I had no Discernment. Now I simply want to avoid such people and keep as much distance as possible. In what way not nice? Well they have nothing good to say about anyone, not even their, 'friends'. There is little or no love in them. They constantly argue and fight, form factions. They are constantly complaining and many of them lazy. God or the very idea of God is as far from their minds and hearts as belief in the Fairies. They live totally materialistic God less lives.

    Am I too harsh?

There is an excerpt from the Diary of St Faustina I keep calling to mind. Way back in the 1920's she returned on a visit to her home country viilage in rural Catholic Poland and was appalled by what she saw.

I would guess rural Poland in Catholic Poland was a hundred times better than Apostate. Catholic Ireland today.

It's the simple truth. It's like living in Sodom and Gomorrah. This huge grey darkness.

A very nasty, very Godless people. Very, very nasty and very, very Godless.

I keep myself very, very, very much to myself. It it any wonder?

    Timothy 2:3

The quintessential description of our times. He has cited every single thing we see now on a daily basis in our national politics and in our own neighborhoods. Top to bottom.

The weather is like this too, reflecting our inward Apsotasy. Gray, looming, foreboding.

The anger of heaven, the rage of the angels.

    Wow,

I hope you find more joyful people.

I personally have been filled with joy and thankfulness in spades the last couple of months.

    It is God's doing.

If others saw my life lately they might think I should be sullen... I have a painful dibilitating injury, a painfull abdominal condition, my wife has had 3 cancer surgeries. My father and mother in law in their 90s now need our help with just about everything.

Yet I have been filled with joy and thankfulness for all of it.

I am reminded that where sin abounds, grace abounds all the more!

    God is so good!

The apparitions of the Madonna delle Tre Fontane could soon be officially recognized by the Church

    ROME, November 06, 2020 / 9:00 AM ( ACI Stampa ) .-

In Rome everyone knows such as a Virgin of the Three Fountains because of the place where she would appear, starting from 12 April 1947 to Bruno Cornacchiola.

In 1956 Pope Pius XII allowed the construction of a chapel for worship at the Tre Fontane and entrusted its custody to the " Franciscan Minor Conventuals " for the religious service. In 1997 John Paul II approved the name of the place as " Santa Maria del Terzo Millennio alle Tre Fontane ".

Mary appears to Cornacchiola who is about to become an Adventist pastor with a report on "Mary is not always Virgin and Immaculate". Bruno was involved in the Civil War in Spain, he hated the Catholic Church, he imposed Protestantism on his wife who sought refuge in the practice of the first Friday of the month.

Then the first apparition, while looking for the children playing there in the park of the Tre Fontane. He finds them in a cave in front of the Beautiful Lady. From that moment the man who wanted to kill the Pope radically changed his life, until in 1949 he handed over the dagger with which he wanted to kill him to Pius XII.

Cardinal Mauro Piacenza, Major Penitentiary, who often celebrates Mass at the Sanctuary, explains the special bond between the Madonna della Revelazione and Pius XII that led him to define the Dogma of the Assumption.

“It had obviously been for some years that Pius XII had been carrying out this great investigation into the world, as did Pius IX for the dogma of the Immaculate Conception. He also wanted to hear the echo of the piety of the faithful and it was known that the Assumption had already been celebrated for centuries and centuries and centuries, from the very beginning. It was in that period that he learned the story of Cornacchiola. Pius XII was at that moment in this stage of reflection and prayer for the definition of dogma.

Then there is almost a parallel to what the Holy Virgin said in Lourdes, with Mary herself saying her name.

“The declaration took place in the Holy Year of 1950, and on November 1st, the feast of All Saints and Mary we also venerate the “ Regina Sanctorum Omnium ” . Therefore the queen of All Saints and of all angels, that is, of all the people of Paradise, of all the redeemed. And therefore in the piety of a Christian, in the life of a Christian, it is a bit like widening the lungs, widening the eyes and pulling up, all that would otherwise be too grounded, right? And make him understand that the Christian vocation is a vocation to eternity, to eternal life, to great things that must not be lost in small things or be disheartened in those carnal or material sins that brutalize the person and do not give this sense of greatness. , of dignity. I would say that it is also a bit of a lesson in human dignity ”.

The Cardinal also recalls the special veneration of John Paul II : “he had love for this place, so much so that when he left for apostolic journeys, he sent a friend of his, who was Cardinal Deskur, to pray here to support him during the journey. And Pius XII had already blessed the statue of the Madonna personally in St. Peter's Square ”.

Will there be any official steps of the Catholic Church for the recognition of revelations in the future?

“The current Cardinal Vicar is very attached to this place because, he told me that when he was still a seminarian he would come to confession to the Trappists, who are across the street, and then he would go here. And it seems to me that his ordination took place precisely on April 12th. And now he is taking an interest in setting up a committee to take back all the things to give dignity to the sanctuary ”.

AED, you stated the below a few years back in this thread; I had forgotten it was this difficult. Has the Good Lord lightened your load at all? Prayers!

I live among very so called progressive family and friends. They are blind. Blind!! There is no telling them either. If they don't want the truth they refuse to hear it. It is "fake news". I have to keep reminding myself to not get furious but to pray and pray. And pray some more. But it is hard.

O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee!

    Yes,
I can't help but feel so blessed and loved.

In all the struggles, I am reminded that all things are passing away, but God's love remains.

Abandonment to Divine Providence is the key for me. Everything works for the good of those who love God. Knowing that everything I encounter is the best possible thing I can experience at every moment is a great blessing. The only response is to praise God always and everywhere, as we hear in the Mass.
