Sanctus never be sorry. When you need prayer ask for it. Always!! ThT is one of the key missions of this forum I think.
This is perfect place to be open and truthful. Many of us are going through the same trials or have had the same issues. From the thread comes consolation...but it also helps others on their journey. I have always mentioned...its a lonely journey, but the consolations can be very rewarding. Take heed your issues might be helping others get closer to God...sounds strange but true. Never fear posting because you are not alone. You have a group of interesting characters that are walking on the same path. if we were cartoon characters...we would be a interesting bunch! keep the faith! bro. al
Do not be embarrased. Anyone who has gone through or is going through your experience is entitled to a little reassurance from the forum. The dark night is a really deep purification and it is a scary place between this world and the darkness. The soul is plunged into the deepest darkness one could ever imagine. I personally panicked a lot because I had no frame of reference nor anyone to explain what I was going through. It made me cling to my beads as a lifeline and the realisation that the Rosary is the way of enlightenment for the soul. It will make you appreciate the light more!
This is what is wonderful about MOG, Peter. We can be honest about our struggles and don't have to pretend that we have our act together. The great St. Paul was honest about this, too. Maybe such honesty is what makes a saint great. When you hold the Christ Child in your arms this Christmas may the Peace of God fill your heart! Philippians 3:12 Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect; but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. 13 Brethren, I do not consider that I have made it my own; but one thing I do, forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
I pray three of them every day from “Deliverance Prayers for use by the Laity”. I trust that God will take care of everything.
Thanks garabandal. I am in a very dark place at the moment. Feels like God is missing. Also attacks from the evil one compound this.
