O Mary, you are the model of humility, poverty, and virginity. Let me fashion my life after you, so that I will be truly humble, poor in spirit, and pure of heart. (Mary Day by Day prayer book)
"Mary is not only called the Mother of Mercy. She is the Mother of Mercy. And she proved that she is by the loving tenderness with which she helps us all." ~St. Alphonsus Liguori
I have always been drawn to and love images of our Lord suffering in the garden. It is my favorite because He is so human in this. He is afraid and even asks for this suffering, this cup to be taken from Him as we all would do. In the end though He does what most wouldn't have the courage to do. He submits to the will of the Father. I just want to wrap my arms around Him in this suffering and hold him through His pain.
I don't know, sorry. I downloaded it off Google Images a few years ago but didn't note the artist (which I usually do).
I think a lot of you know Akiane Kramarik who paints astonishing paintings thanks to the gift of her visions which started at the age of 3. She is also the author of the famous "Prince of Peace" painting (painted at the age of 8). One of her newest paintings is called "Triumph" and I had to share it here. It's astonishing, the more you look at it the more symbolism and things you can see there. Be sure to watch the whole thing as she also does poetry and at the end of her video she shares one of her poems. I think it's kind of prophetic and I immediately connected the name of the painting and the words of the poem to "The triumph of the Immaculate heart of Mary" On her website you can read the poem and see the painting: https://akiane.com/product/triumph/ And here is the enlarged image of the painting in good quality: https://akiane.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/TriumphFirst-version.png
