God have mercy on him. He continues to make horrifying decions, protecting abortion rights is downright evil. I was just reading an article criticizing him for allowing millions of gallons from our emergency oil reserves to a Chinese state owned company that had received a $1.7 billion investment from BHR Partners, one of the equity firms owned by Hunter Biden. I don't know if the real truth about the Biden family will ever see the light of day, but I suspect Joe is in over his head with the dark side and will do whatever is necessary to protect his son, and the family's financial assets. It is all about money and power. Joe Biden could care less about America. :(

I wondered if it was possible, or if it had ever been done before. (n) I pray that God will intervene, and prevent this from happening. It would be devastating on so many levels. :(

No doubt very hard to take. But, it is expected and what the Lord himself said would happen. Would he find any faith when he returns? The answer is a solid Yes…. I see here on the forum. I see it in my Church community. It’s not huge numbers but strong. And not strong because we think we are “better” but exactly because we know we are weak sinners who rely every single moment on God and his mercy. I see all of what is happening now as the beginning (or maybe even further along) of separating of the sheep and the goats. The lines are being drawn. We see where people are lining up. I will pray for these people. But in end, it’s their choice. God is a “gentleman” as he gives us all a choice and does not force anything upon us. My role now is as best I can guide my family and friends to conversion and repentance … into making God first. I can really only do that by living that way myself. I think many of us are trying to do this for our families. Peace.

Let's not overreact folks. Biden is doing what little he can for political points. One thing is to support women who want to travel to a State allowing abortions, but the President has no authority to reverse the Supreme Court decision. It's a done deal.

Not if it’s a takeover. It’s one of the first things communists do. They take charge of the Courts.

Latest update from Fr. Steve. TRUTH!

    Smearing Pro-Life Women’s Centers
    By Fr. Steve Ryan, SDB

My good friend Chris Bell is the founder and director of several pro-life women’s centers in New York and New Jersey. I can’t say enough about the good he and his organization, Good Counsel Homes, have been doing for 40 years. Good Counsel Homes helps women – quietly, consistently and without any assistance from the government. These homes have accompanied thousands of women and their children in bringing babies to life and giving women an opportunity to establish the foundation they need to step up to the demands of motherhood and fiscal security.

Chris’ homes and all pro-life women’s centers are miracles. They are one of the most beautiful outreaches assisting women and children that we have in this country. They are led by the Holy Spirit and in every case the love of God abundantly blesses them. Please go to the pro-life women’s center nearest you and see what they do and what they offer. You will find that these centers are an absolute blessing to the staff, the neighborhood and, most of all, the clients – women and children. I know this personally and have experienced the joy of the Lord that comes when women choose life in contacting these organizations.

There are 2,000 of these centers spread across the nation in every state of the union and in every major city and most counties. Pro-life women’s centers are run by private donations and are sometimes supported by Christian and particularly Catholic denominations (Catholic Charities and Catholic dioceses). These are the grassroots efforts made by good people who want to give babies a chance to live while doing everything possible to help the moms and the rest of the family. I guarantee you that the vast majority of these centers help moms and children much further than through the nine months of pregnancy.

After seeing what Chris Bell does in New York or what Rose Llauget did in Tampa or what Hyuna Franklin does at The Community Center for Life in Gretna, Louisiana, I have been overwhelmed with admiration. These folks and their staff and their boards ought to be seen as the brightest lights in our community and celebrated in all churches as amazing examples of the Gospel in action.

Yet the main stream media would have us believe they don’t even exist! We all know it’s part of their smear campaign against the pro-life movement. They say pro-lifers don’t care about women. They also try to say pro-lifers love children only before they’re born and that once women who were in a crisis pregnancy have their babies, that we drop them like hot potatoes.

All of this leads me to Senator Elizabeth Warren who last week called for the federal government to “crack down” on crisis pregnancy centers and maternity homes. In Ms. Warren’s words, they “mislead and deceive” women into having babies they don’t want. Can you believe she said this publicly? It’s outrageous!

Non-abortion women’s centers take in any pregnant woman in need. Women (often with their children) come from broken or dysfunctional homes and have nowhere else to go. They are housed and physically, mentally, spiritually and financially assisted for a year or longer. The centers provide money, supplies, housing and help women develop child-rearing skills and budgeting and fiscal planning capability, for a healthy and happy family life. Pro-life centers do everything they can to help connect women with resources and support for the long haul. They do all of this without a dime from tax money.

Want to talk about deception? The pro-choice aggressors like Elizabeth Warren who smear pro-life centers are the deceivers. The media who never give these 2,000 centers spread across the country one iota of credit or public accolade are the deceivers. The doctors, high school counselors and social-service organizations that tell these women that abortion is their only option are the deceivers.

Pro-life women’s centers and programs care – they care deeply! They certainly agree on one thing: no woman in the U.S. today has to raise a child she conceives. Adoption is a loving option. There are safe-haven laws in every state and territory allowing a woman to offer a child anonymously for adoption.

Pro-life centers don’t hate or ostracize women living with the pain of having had an abortion. They love them more! No one in the pro-life movement would condemn a woman for already having had an abortion. As a matter of fact, about half the women that come to these facilities for help have already had an abortion and don’t want the painful evil to occur again.

Non-abortion women’s health centers that encourage life for babies and mothers have been around for 45 years and do great work. The Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson has brought some renewed attention to the work they do.

Ms. Elizabeth Warren ought to visit them. They don’t mislead or deceive anyone. They stick to the truth, delivered with compassion and mercy. They are a bright light for our nation.

…I no longer watch news, but get bits and pieces from Catholic sources like this site. I echo sentiments of some others here, in that I keep wondering when God will finally step in and intervene. It is incomprehensible to me that someone like Elizabeth Warren would ever get elected, much less actually say the convoluted, twisted things she says. And yet, here we are in the age of wrong is right, right is wrong and the media is largely a willing promoter of this ideology. I pray, pray, pray God intervenes, soon.

I stopped watching the news during the covid coverage as it was equivalent to the ministry of propaganda and enlightenment.

The running joke in our house we call it Bad News since it is always depressing. Why would I want to hear bad news all the time?

Elizabeth Warren is crazy. o_O She hasn't accomplished one good thing for Massachusetts. A cheerleader for the 'woke' crowd, she appears before the media to scream whenever the liberals don't get their way. So sad that people continue to vote for politicians like her. :(

I gave up the news for Lent in 2020 and it had nothing to do with COVID. I just knew that it distracted me from relying on Jesus and I felt my peace was robbed. Then after Easter, I thought I would watch it…Fox News….after being cleansed from the toxicity of the news, I felt it right away that it wasn’t good to take in. I haven’t watched news since. I do get some updates from reputable online sites…but feel the same oppression as if they want us unhinged with confusion and turmoil. I do rely on Mother of God Forum for news….because it’s prayerful.
