I think hospitals are a little like Churches, full of Angels. Angels to lead people to heaven and angels to lead babies to Earth. Angels to comfort, to guide, to heal, to convert, to make new....

As MOG forum members we come to Our Lady's " living room" to share our love for her with other devotees of the Mother of God and to seek her comforting instruction and advice.

So then ....I have a suggestion for a Birthday Gift that we ...her forum members and spiritual children ... can give her for her birthday.... an entire rosary that we say solely for her intention to use as she wishes!!

We can put them all in a big box and wrap it up with a bow and present it to her on birthday tomorrow Sept 8!!

Shhhh... dont tell her ...we want it to be a surprise!

(You can add your rosary to the box if you so desire)

Of course the devil would want to destroy her. he hates human life and all of humanity.

But he could only be allowed to go near her within God's permissive will.

I suspect our Lady might have been ring-fenced and protected by legions of angels since she really is the apple of God's eye the crown of all creation, the closest creature intimately bonded to the Divine Holy Trinity.

Wonderful idea Ellen! Adding my Rosary to Our Lady’s birthday box. Our Legion of Mary will be celebrating with a birthday cake this morning after the Mass.

Our Lady of Sorrows is celebrated on September 15, on the octave day of the feast of the Blessed Mother Mary’s nativity on September 8th today & two big Marian feast days. Her Immaculate Conception, the celebration of her being immaculately conceived without the stain of Original Sin, led to her life in salvation history, conceiving and giving birth to our Savior, and to suffer in union with his sufferings.

The devotion of Our Lady of Sorrows recalls the suffering of Mary prophesied by Simeon in the temple at the time of the dedication of Jesus. “This child is destined for the falling and the rising of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be opposed so that the inner thoughts of many will be revealed—and a sword will pierce your own soul too” (Luke 2).

Promises of Our Lady of Sorrows

Through the devotion to Our Lady of Sorrows, we unite our own suffering with that of the Blessed Mother’s. Imagine what it was like for Mary to watch her beloved Son—both God and man—beaten and bloodied, carrying the cross he would be crucified on. We remember and honor the suffering of both Jesus and the Blessed Mother by this daily devotion.

Through the visions of St. Bridget of Sweden, the Blessed Virgin Mary revealed that she grants seven graces to the souls who honor her daily by saying seven Hail Mary’s and meditating on her tears and dolors. The Seven Sufferings, also sometimes referred to as the Seven Dolors, come from Scripture. Although the feast of Our Lady of Sorrows falls on September 15, the prayers honoring the Seven Sorrows of Our Lady can be said anytime throughout the year.

Here are the 7 promises revealed to Saint Bridget by the Blessed Mother to those who honor her by daily meditating on her tears and sorrows and saying one Hail Mary with each meditation.

    1. I will grant peace to their families.
    2. They will be enlightened about the divine mysteries.
    3. I will console them in their pains and I will accompany them in their work.
    4. I will give them as much as they ask for as long as it does not oppose the Adorable Will of my Divine Son or the sanctification of their souls.
    5. I will defend them in their spiritual battles with the infernal enemy and I will protect them at every instant of their lives.
    6. I will visibly help them at the moment of their death; they will see the face of their mother.
    7. I have obtained (this Grace) from my Divine Son, that those who propagate this devotion to my tears and sorrows, will be taken directly from this earthly life to eternal happiness since all their sins will be forgiven and my Son will be their eternal consolation and joy.

It is run by the Society of St Pius V, a breakaway group fo m the Society of St Pius x and is Schismatic and Sedavacantist (they don't believe the Pope's the Pope and so are all excommunicated)

'The SSPV developed out of the Society of St. Pius X (SSPX), the traditionalist organization founded in 1970 by Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre. In 1983, Lefebvre expelled four priests (Clarence Kelly, Daniel Dolan, Anthony Cekada, and Eugene Berry) of the SSPX's Northeast USA District from the society, partly because they were opposed to his instructions that Mass be celebrated according to the 1962 Roman Missal issued by John XXIII. Other issues occasioning the split were Lefebvre's order that Society priests must accept the decrees of nullity handed down by diocesan marriage tribunals and the acceptance of new members into the group who had been ordained to the priesthood according to the revised sacramental rites of Pope Paul VI.

"The Nine" (the four expelled priests plus five who voluntarily left the SSPX) refused to accept Lefebvre's insistence on the 1962 Missal even though they were aware of his position before they were ordained.[citation needed] It was their opinion that it included departures from the liturgical traditions of the church (for example, inserting the name of Saint Joseph after that of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the Canon of the Mass).[1] According to the now-Bishop Donald Sanborn (one of "the Nine" priests), Lefebvre was imposing these liturgical and disciplinary changes in view of a reconciliation with the Vatican.[2] A more basic reason was the belief amongst The Nine that the men who had reigned as pope since the death of Pope Pius XII (d. 1958) had not been legitimate popes (Canon 1325, no. 2, 1917),[3] although Cekada later stated that "...[t]he 'pope question' was not raised at the time, and was not at issue."[4] They held that these popes had officially taught and/or accepted heretical doctrines, and therefore had lost or never occupied the See of Rome (Canon 188, no. 4, 1917).[5] Like the Society of Saint Pius X, they believed that there had been novel interpretations of the traditional teachings of the church on issues such as religious liberty. One of The Nine, Dolan, admitted that while still a member of the SSPX, he had already concluded that the See of Peter was vacant.[6]

The Nine set up a new priestly society under the leadership of Kelly, their former District Superior. The eight priests were Thomas Zapp, Donald Sanborn, Anthony Cekada, Daniel Dolan, William Jenkins, Eugene Berry, Joseph Collins, and Martin Skierka. Additional priests joined shortly thereafter.'
