I remember Cardinal Sarah, in one of his books, making the distinction between the poverty most of his people, including his own family, experienced and that of destitution. He said everyone in his community was very content and could enjoy life. These people in Kenya looked of that ilk, happy and well-nourished but good clothes would have to be very carefully taken care of. In such circumstances, one knows the value of what one has.

Like the people of Croatia in 1988 when I went to Medjugorge. Poor farmers but everything clean and beautiful. Little farms with grape arbors for a porch. Small orchards in thd back. Beautiful red cheeked children. Big strong women working with the men in the fields. I was very impressed.

In a way it was once like that here… when I was a kid growing up in NYC. My family was mainly cops, bus drivers, longshoremen and the hardest working ones… the moms! On Sundays, the men wore jackets and ties, the ladies in beautiful dresses and us kids nice shirts , dress pants, caps and usually a bow tie. We called it our Sunday best!

I fully admit, that my attire at Church on Sundays is not my Sunday best…. But at least not sloppy. Motivated now to get that suit on again !

I tinkered with one screenshot a bit, now it is very obvious I think.

I also think I see a crown on Our Lady’s head, just like she is portrayed from Fatima :)

When I saw it I thought immediately of Our Lady of Fatima. And I saw a crown.

I see many people saying, based solely in statistics and data, that kenya and nigeria will become christian world powers (BRICS level) within this century or within decades.
is this possibly true? if Ethopia which is ancient christian joins, and all 3 countries forgive each other for past wars, there could be a christian world power bloc from Africa?
al shabaab and boko haram are destroying the countries tho

Christianity in Africa is the strong horse, not Islam, I think.

What future has a culture whose title is 'books are forbidden'?
