    PS,

Such a surrender is a beautiful thing to see!:) I'm sure Our Lady accepts your offer! It is such a blessing to be able to come before Our Lady with you all: my beautiful wife Geralyn, Pope Francis, Freedom, Mary Ann, Ellie, Mary's Child, Tina, PotatoSack, Woman Clothed with the Sun, Sunburst, Lee and her cohort...and I bet thousands of others whom we don't personally know, but are children of Mary nonetheless! I can't think of a more wonderful prayer for you all than the following:

Philippians 1: 3 I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, 4 always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy, 5 thankful for your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. 6 And I am sure that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. 7 It is right for me to feel thus about you all, because I hold you in my heart, for you are all partakers with me of grace, both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel. 8 For God is my witness, how I yearn for you all with the affection of Christ Jesus. 9 And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, 10 so that you may approve what is excellent, and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, 11 filled with the fruits of righteousness which come through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

(and with a little help from our little Mother!)

Safe in the Refuge of the Immaculate Heart!

    Hi PS,
I think you are correct here and maybe your situation is meant to show you a different path that is meant for you. I know that we are all trying to offer our "yes" to Jesus and the Blessed Mother right now, but sometimes I think this obedience would be a little easier (well, maybe not easier, but a little clearer) if a giant angel with wings and all were to give us the specific instructions:) ...still though, like you, I really want to be all-in on this, even if I am not sure where we are headed...

An exhortation from Saint Louis De Montfort in today's readings
Finally, we must do all our actions for Mary, we must take her for our proximate end, our mysterious means, and our way to go to Jesus Christ. Supported by her protection we must undertake and achieve great things for Christ. We must defend her privileges, when they are disputed. We must stand up for her glory when it is attacked; we must draw all the world, if we can, to her service, and to this true and solid devotion. We must pretend to no recompense for our little service, except the honor of belonging to so sweet a Queen, and the happiness of being united through her to Jesus, her Son, by an indissoluble tie, in time and in eternity.

We are called to try. Have a beautiful day tomorrow, fellow consecrators!

Good St. Anne, keep a special watch on all these children giving themselves to your Blessed grandson Jesus through your daughter Mary

    Totus Tuus
This prayer was written by the Holy Father to
    Mary Immaculate

    Totally yours,
    Immaculate Conception, Mary my Mother,
Live in me, Act in me,
Speak in me and through me,
Think your thoughts in my mind,
    Love through my heart,
Give me your dispositions and feelings,
Teach, lead me and guide me to Jesus,
Correct, enlighten and expand my thoughts and behavior,
    Possess my soul,
Take over my entire personality and life, replace it with Yourself,
    Incline me to constant adoration,
Pray in me and through me,
Let me live in you and keep me in this union always.

Thanks, Sunburst! What can I say? It was a beautiful morning for Geralyn and me! After Holy Mass, we knelt before Our Lady's statue near the tabernacle and prayed the prayer of consecration. Our pastor let the Easter candle remain burning. So many sacramentals around! Our friend, Jose Vergara, signed off on the document as witness. And then we were surprised when the "little" saint in our parish, Anne S., came up and gifted us with a medal blessed by Pope John Paul II, himself!:)

Mary's tender love was very much evident!

Yes, Mary Ann...the evil one is not too happy that we all have consecrated ourselves, as it is a big deal, and now we can officially be used by Mary to help her in her plan of salvation. Before I started this consecration, I heard an interview on EWTN radio with a priest who did it, and he said that he experienced demonic attacks at night the first 3 nights of his 33 day prep. He could feel/hear/sometimes see the demon in his room but there was like a protective shield between him and the demon. But each night the demon was able to get closer and closer, until the last night of the attack he could feel it breathing on his neck. But he knew from the experience that God would protect him and the demon could only get as close as God allowed.

Did anyone experience anything unusual during your consecration experience? I could feel him a few times. Nothing like a demonic attack, but lots of agitation and anxiety the night before we started the prep and a hard time falling asleep before consecration day. I also believe I heard his voice a twice during this consecration period. Anyone else?

Yesterday was a beautiful day...although a little hectic...as I always wait until the last minute on some things!! I got up and had to pull one last weed out of my garden before consecrating myself! Then I had to type up the prayers and print them, etc. I headed downtown to go to confession and adoration...all the while worried I'd get all stuck in traffic (which happened last week when I tried to get to confession) and that I wouldn't find parking. Well, no traffic heading in and only Our Lady would make sure there was a parking space for me in front of the church (free parking in downtown Boston on a Monday afternoon :)). I went to confession and then said the consecration prayer in front of the Mary statue with Jesus in the Holy Monstrance. Then I finally relaxed!! It's been a beautiful 33 days...but a part of me can't believe the preparation is over!!

Thank you to everyone who has been posting on this thread, and those in our "consecration group". I can't imagine having made this consecration on my own. I've gotten so much out of this because of our inputs, thoughts, and prayers, so I thank you sooo much!!!

It has actually been a whirlwind ever since I received the True Devotion and 33 Days to Morning Glory books on April 2nd. I immediately jumped into the True Devotion book, and read it every night until April 10th, when we started our 33-day prep. In those 33-days, we each did our readings faithfully each day and pondered in our hearts the reflections, posting often our thoughts on this thread. I was also very busy "pulling weeds out of my garden" as Our Lady was just exposing them everywhere, showing me what needed correction in my life. It was very tiring at times, but a beautiful experience.

Last night I felt a little sad that I didn't have a reading to do (being a night person, I always did my reading the night before), and I missed having something to reflect on. But we are ready now to live our consecration. I know I'll be praying lots of rosaries, contemplating on Our Lady's virtues, and her sorrows...living it will be a whole new phase for us!!

Thank you again to our consecration group! I'll miss this thread...but now it's time to live it!!

PS,..your words of wisdom never cease to amaze me,..
It seems as though we are in a constant struggle to "surrender" our own wills and allow ourselves to say like Jesus,..not my will,..but thy will be done. With this consecration I think we have to become like little children,..asleep in Our Lady's arms, not caring about anything.
She was right there by her Son, through all the suffering, and she will be with us too.
So happy for your consecration, :)

Thank you for the prayers and reflections, PotatoSack, Mario, sunburst, HOPE, Ellie, and Tina S. and all others. I had a nice renewal, no problems from the serpent. I want to praise God for all of you and the works you will be doing in the Lord's name. I also have to thank Saint Anthony because after I posted his powerful intercession, three items that were missing at school for my kids turned up! Public acknowledgement of graces received increase faith for all. I want to shout out to the vast assembly that I PRAISE GOD forever!

    Mary Ann,

It is the Lord resolving the little things in life that allows me to trust him in the big things. The latter usually involves a web of relationships and larger crosses so that its working out takes time and requires more patience and trust! So, yes, alleluia, always and everywhere, for everything!:)

to the vast assembly... Hmmmm, what parish family do you belong to?:D
