    Julia,
Place your desire to pray the Consecration in the hands of our Blessed Mother and She will offer your desire to Jesus. If it is His Will that you should pray it at this time, the Consecration on Mary TV will come up - if it doesn't, someone will lead you to pray it in another way or at another time as God so desires. They are so happy with our holy desires that it is as if we had already accomplished what we wished to do for them. God bless you. Lynne

    What Lynn said.

Or you could do the consecration on your own, using the book by Fr Stephen Gaitley or the original 33 day program outlined by St Louis de Montfort. You can buy a book with all the readings in. I did the consecration last year in this way - a group of us on this forum made the consecration, or renewed it, at the same time. Mary TV is obviously a great resourse (I did not know of it) but there are others! God bless!

Yes, I was going to suggest the same. I believe Clives is doing the consecration now. Maybe you could start a thread and each of you post your reflections. Just an idea. My renewal is coming up soon. Hopefully others will join me here in the renewal.

A number of us will be needing to renew at the same time as you, Potatosack, so I will certainly be joining you again.

Recently the director of the Militia Immaculata was on EWTN and stated we should consecrate ourselves daily to Mary Immaculate....even a TOTUS TUUS Marry will suffice he said. Aired on Fr Josephs show Church Universal about 2-3 weeks ago I believe.
Those consecrated to Mary in the way of Saint Maximilian pray the following consecration prayer daily:

O Immaculata, Queen and Mother of the Church,
I renew my consecration to you this day and for always
so that you may use me for the coming
of the Kingdom of Jesus in the whole world.
To this end, I offer you all my prayers,
actions and sacrifices of this day

    St. Maximilian's Marian Spirituality
[IMG]St. Maximilian centers Mariology on a series of mediations of Jesus and the Holy Spirit. While some view mediations other than that of Jesus’ mediation as walls that separate us from Christ, Kolbe viewed them as doors and windows, especially the mediation of Mary, through which the Son of God shines in our lives and enters into our souls.

This action could not take place without a perfect union between the Holy Spirit and Mary. In an imperfect way, man and woman become one flesh in the sacrament of Matrimony. As the Spouse of the Holy Spirit who is without sin, Mary is perfectly united in will and spirit with the Holy Spirit.

St. Maximilian teaches that the same Mother who bore Christ, now through the power of the her Spouse, the Holy Spirit, assists us in conceiving Christ and thus continues her ministry of Divine Motherhood and bearing Christ for the world.

In practice, Kolbe’s Marian spirituality is in the form of consecrating oneself to Mary. The Kolbean Consecration is rooted in the Immaculate Conception, her relationship with Jesus as Mother, and the Holy Spirit as Spouse. Because she is without sin, the will of the Immaculata is strictly and perfectly united to the Will of the Holy Spirit. As the Immaculate Conception, therefore, Mary can never be a barrier or wall between God and us for she is perfectly and totally united to God and incapable of doing anything apart from the Will of God. As such, we are giving ourselves to Jesus to do His Will in consecrating ourselves to the Immaculata.

Hi everyone. I apologize for following up on my consecration incredibly late, but I figured now is better than never.

I did in fact make my consecration on the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception. I think my experience was different than a few others. I did not get a ton of emotional or otherwise internal consolation from it; I do, however, find it easier to put my anxious thoughts before Jesus and Mary than before, which is something I have struggled with. I suppose I don't "feel" much more different than before, but I trust that Mary is working for my good in any case. I have no regrets.

I also decided to be enrolled in the Brown Scapular. No regrets there either. :)

Oh gosh Ave Crux, I don't get internal consolations or any overt graces from the consecration either. I just did it because I once knew a wonderful woman who lived and taught it, and I turned down the chance back in 1985, but since people often come into our lives for a reason, I have decided to jump in at this later stage of life. I made the first Consecration last year and it has been uneventful but I do feel as if in unfelt ways there has been a benefit. I would love to be enrolled in the brown scap, but don't know anyone locally who can do this.

Any priest can enroll you in the Brown Scapular. I just walked up to a priest at my parish, scheduled an appointment, and got enrolled.

That's great AveCrux!! It was not like fireworks for me either, however, our lady will continue to "work" on you from here on out. I think it is subtle work though, at least it was with me. You don't feel like you are changing, but in a years time you will have. I too have an easier time dealing with my anxious thoughts and problems by presenting them to Jesus through Mary. The conscration was instrumental in me for finally praying the rosary daily. Also, I felt great consolations when loved ones died recently. Because I had been sending my prayers to Mary to do as she wished, I also know she is taking extra care of the salvation of my family. I offered my divine mercy indulgences to Mary and asked her to keep my immediate family in mind when doing what she wanted with them. So, I had a great deal of peace when my brother died so unexpectedly this past fall. I think it is situations like these that you will feel the fruits of your consecration. And also not to mention during the upcoming storm. You will be under our lady's mantle!!

Hello, Friends. I need your guidance, please!

I consecrated myself to the Jesus through the Immaculate Heart of Mary last August. Let me start off by saying that I have much to be grateful for but much that was dark (sinful) in my life. Recently, my suffering have increased to the point of almost being unbearable. I pray for strength and that Christ rescue me from the temptations that come with the sufferings. In my times of relative peace, I thank God for what He has sent me, but then come the attacks again. I am down at the moment from what are small crosses compared to His. As I trust all of you, let me share that I know that I have never been loved by my earthly mother, her love is only for my sister and brother. I am disabled from a Liver transplant and live with my 82 year old parents whom two surgeries out, have not helped before, during and after recovery. Sounds funny, but at 55 I am confined to my room. My children are wonderful, but they have their lives to lead and I don't want to take happiness from them.

Has anyone here experienced increased suffering/attacks after their Consecration? A Consecration that I am happy I made and will renew again.

    Thank you for listening.

My heart goes out to you and you will be in my prayers. I have suffered many temptations in my life but in the end have grown stronger. Life is a battle. War is a good description when enduring severe trials. All I can say is Jesus and Mary are right by you so keep trusting and hoping and forgiving. It's very difficult but then Rome was not built in a day. God bless you and keep you. Use holy water often.
    Mary

    AveCrux,

The fact that Mary is your Mom is reality, not just metaphor. The Consecration deepens our trust in, and accelerates the growth in our relationship with Our Lady. Just as in Christ we already possess eternal life, so too, the fact that we will always be Mary's child carries into eternity as well! I love you Mother Mary!

Safe in the Refuge of the Immaculate Heart!

    Ella,
I am so sorry...your crosses are mighty heavy  I did my consecration while carrying heavy crosses, so the consecration helped me to carry them better. Call out to your heavenly mother often to help you carry them. Offer up all that suffering to her where she can use it to produce miracles. Ask her to help you find the joy in your crosses. I am still searching for the joy in carrying mine. I believe it means that you will find joy knowing by offering up your suffering you are helping others, and hopefully we will one day feel that in our hearts. Try to believe very strongly that offering up your immense suffering pleases God and is very generous of you...and God will never be out-done in generosity. He will bless you abundently! This is a deep valley you are in now, but Jesus is there to meet you and will lift you out of it at the right time. I will pray for you!

Thank you. I know He will but it becomes quite overwhelming at times. Please continue to pray for me.
