    Fr Calloway explains this,
I think we can gain only one plenary indulgence in a day but we can gain the other 15 partial indulgences daily.

A plenary indulgence is extremely hard to obtain, as we need to have made a perfect contrition and not have sinned even a venal sin since our last confession, however partial indulgencies does not require perfect contrition but imperfect contrition in sacramental confession within 8 days of the work, reception of Holy communion and prayers for the Holy Fathers intensions, on the day of the work (the prayer).

I have been alerted of a patronising post about me, regarding my above post. This is so unfortunate, may God intervene.

Apparently my statement .... "That I check credentials before alerting moderators, for further investigation, to limit any harm it may have caused" has elicited a personal condescending comment, by another member calling for prayer for (god forsaken me).

The following may give insight into the background of this posters post..,.....

On the 14 May this year a post was placed by this member (Advocata Nosta) who stated she had intimate communication with a Carmelite order of nuns in Ireland, wanting members to give funds to the cause of this Carmelite community who were evicted unfairly from their residence and were now homeless, needing funds to relocate!

I felt very sorry for this community of nuns and wondered why their bishop had not intervened?.
I decided to email their bishop for explanations.

Before doing this I tried to gain as much information as I could, regarding this community of Carmelites, so I looked into this poor Carmelite community of nuns, only to find out that they were not a recognised community of Carmelites but instead a sedvacanitist palimaiarn group of just 2 nuns that had elicited over $78 thousand dollars of sympathy money, from unsuspecting Catholics in Ireland.

However, I believed this article, could be erroneous, so I emailed Padraig about my concerns. Meanwhile now members of the MoG site forum had given money to these nuns, because of this post.

Eventually it was found that these two nuns were part of a scam who are in-fact not Catholic nuns but part of the palarmain sedevacantists church. The thread was taken down and no further damage down.

I hope I intervened correctly, maybe I should have just posted my findings and thus humiliated the poster (which I did not want to do) or just hit the report button without any investigation, but I believe I did the right thing , Praise God.

Also I believed the poster must have been hoodwinked like those that had already given money to the scam.

But now due to the unrelenting personal attacks by this person, I don't know whether she was hoodwinked or whether she is also a part of the palamarian sedevacanist church!
    Much prayer needed.

Below my conversations to Padraig and 2 others people before this post was taken down on the 15 May!

    1. Padraig I don't know whether the Southern Star news are reliable but they have an interesting article on the Carmelites featured in the thread by AN. Apparently they are not Carmelites and belong to the Palmarian Church.’ of Spain and are sedevacanists. The article below and information on the Palmarian Church follows.

Leap hermits relocating to 24-acre farm near Dunmanway

THE two hermit women currently living in what amounts to a series of garden sheds at an unauthorised development at a site in Corran, Leap are believed to be moving to a 24-acre farm, including an old residence, near Dunmanway.

According to their own website, the women have no running water, electricity or sewage facilities where they currently live.

Mother Irene, who lives alongside Sr Annemarie Loeman, is also subject to a court ruling ordering the two hermits to vacate the site at Corran before the end of June 2021. They have described the Council’s decision to bring proceedings under the State’s planning laws as ‘the malicious work of Satan’.

They were also recently issued with an order by the Health Products Regulatory Authority to remove medical claims attributed to an ointment they are selling.

The Health Products Regulatory Authority (HPRA) confirmed that it requested the removal of medicinal claims in respect of a product sold by the women who say they are members of the Carmelite Sisters of the Holy Face of Jesus.

The Southern Star now understands that the farm at Inchincurka, Dunmanway, which is four miles from Inchigeelagh, and five miles north of Dunmanway, is to become the duo’s new home. The selling agent, Hodnett Forde, did not comment on the sale.

More than €78,000 was raised for the two women on a Go Fund Me page, which does not appear to be currently accessible.

Although other media have referred to the nuns as ‘Carmelites’, a spokesperson for the Irish Carmelite Order in Ireland confirmed to The Southern Star that the nuns are not members of their order.

A spokesperson for Bishop of Cork and Ross clarified that the women do not belong to any religious community which is in communion with the Catholic Church. He said they entered into a schism and ‘attribute their allegiance to an organisation which was established in Spain in the 1970s and which is referred to as the Palmarian Church.’

The Christian Palmarian Church of the Carmelites of the Holy Face (Spanish: Iglesia Cristiana Palmariana de los Carmelitas de la Santa Faz), commonly known as the Palmarian Catholic Church (Spanish: Iglesia Católica Palmariana), is a small schismatic independent Traditionalist Catholic church with an episcopal see in El Palmar de Troya, Spain founded in 1978 by Clemente Domínguez y Gómez, known as Pope Gregory XVII. The church does not recognize any popes after Paul VI as Catholic, and has its own popes.

Scholars, journalists and former followers almost universally describe the organization as a cult.[1][2] Members are expected to not watch any films or television, vote or read newspapers.[3] They also engage in heavy shunning of ex-members and are not allowed to talk to people unrelated to the church. Sergio María left his position as Pope Gregory XVIII in 2016 to marry a woman (who was also a Palmarian nun) and admitted that "it was all a hoax from the beginning"[4] to profit from believers and supporters of the alleged apparitions of Our Lady of Palmar.

The church regards Pope Paul VI, whom they revere as a martyr, and his predecessors as true popes, but hold, on the grounds of claimed apparitions, that the Pope of Rome is excommunicated and that the position of the Holy See has, since 1978, been transferred to their See of El Palmar de Troya.

The current pope is Joseph Odermatt, known as Pope Peter III.

      Hi Padraig.
Should I post the above information in the thread Homeless Carmelite Nuns in Ireland? posted by Advocata Nosta or should I wait until the moderators have time to discern?
I realise you may be asleep at the moment given our different hemispheres and therefore times zones but I don't want the Catholic faithful to be hoodwinked.
I think I should will John at this time.

    1. Hi XXX,

I was concerned for these homeless Carmelites that Advocata Nostra has some communication with; and wanted to see if their Bishop of Cork could do anything for them, in my investigations, I came across the following information and so did not contact the Diocese of Cork but have pm Padraig with the information. I hope I did the right thing. Please pray.

Oh dear. It appears the story was a scam. Just read it on the thread. We are in evil times. Sigh.
    1. I hope it was an innocent mistake on Adbocata's part. Hard to believe it was deliberate. I will keep this and everyone on the forum in my prayers and ask for prayers at the monastery.

Thank you XXX for your prayers,
Padraig has got back to me and said he is deleting the thread.
I don't believe Advocata Nostra knew it was a scam. I think she was hoodwinked as was Julia who gave money.
It is so easy for anyone of us to fall prey to the evil ones wiles.

I believe we must be vigilant these days, because I know I am an easy target without God.
      Lord have Mercy!

I trust in Jesus's Divine Mercy even if I may be way off counter!
I know He will take care of it.

This post is a sad, and very Humiliating post for Advocata Nosta. If the problem has been already remedied by Padraig, what is the purpose of this post? Why air out for all to see what Padraig already solved? What does it have to do with Good Saint Joseph?

I think the post was informative. Anyone could fall into a situation such as this.

  10. Mary,

    Thank you.

Also, as soon as Padraig asked me to look into it, I did and realized the entire situation: that this entire order was not legitimate and I wrote him back. THEN, the good, Catholic source who had originally informed me and others through an email, followed up with their own mea culpa for sending out their plea prematurely. This, too, I let Padraig know. He was so understanding and kind in his response even though I was mortified. (I never gave any money to them.)~AN

There are other people who only lurk on the forum from time to time. I missed this the first go round so I appreciate the heads up.
It’s a public forum. You had a part in this. imho let’s move on:)

  13. Mary,

I will add for the record that I had no “intimate communication” with that sedevacantist group as was stated. As I said, I found out about the “plea” through an email in my inbox. (The devil uses these seemingly innocuous methods.)

Unfortunately, this was much more than that and anyone seeing this knows that.

AN, Thank you for sharing your side, and Padraig graciousness and his understanding towards you! I have only been on this site a few months, and had no understanding about what it was about. And I agree with you, the devil does use innocuous method, and uses our kindness and sympathy against us at times. You seem like a wonderful, kind, and a good faithful catholic to me! Even though those fake nuns were not. Blessings to you AN, now and forever!

  17. Mary, you are a spiritual cheerleader! I love how you jump right into things with conviction and how you (a compliment here) “wear yourself on your sleeves” in your honesty. In the end, it’s honesty that will always vindicate. Peace!

  19. Before GLADLY laying this to rest (and in my own defense), I will add that I retain a copy of the correspondence between Padraig and myself regarding my innocence in this unfortunate episode. Posting it here, however, seems like a privacy violation and I don’t think that would be an ethically sound action on my part, so anyone reading this will simply have to take my word for it.
