John thank you for checking in! Your information about treatment is very helpful! I am so glad that all of you are on the mend. Prayers get answered for sure. It is a rugged journey and rest is essential i think. Thank goodness your wife is on the mend. The breathing part and the cough are the worst. So if she is getting that under control that's great. We have all been forcefully praying for you and our other forum members who are suffering this. So this good news is SO welcome.
Thank you. I have read a few others that frankly I trusted more because the cdc, as I understood it, counted those who were not fully vaccinated ( not having their second vax within fourteen days ) were counted as unvaccinated. A lot of medical professionals saw it was not a fair representation. Vaxxed folks died , I just can’t find the exact link I wanted.
So happy you’re all on the mend!! And for taking the time and effort to share your protocol! keep resting.
I use mature ginger, Ellen (based on advice). Start with a thumb-sized portion. Wash it clean, no need to remove skin unless you wish. Pound it up a bit till it's flattened. Put everything into a small pot of water and boil it for about 5 minutes. It should be enough for several drinks. You can drink it as it is or as Katfall recommended, take it with raw honey. In my experience, for it to be effective, it has to be a bit strong, but go with what you feel is best for you. We are a family of 6 and I make up this tea almost every week. It has certainly helped strengthen our immune system. Even when we do fall ill, the recovery is pretty quick. But I must say that my family hates it even if they obediently drink up, and I am the butt of all their jokes for this. Still, I will do anything if it keeps them safe and healthy.
I am so glad to hear you are doing better! Remember to continue to take care of yourself! Will continue including you in my prayers!!
Yes, John. Looks like a slow recovery from here too. Great info. Glad you and your family are coming along. God bless all here HH
Prayers for all who are unwell. I met one of the patients in a Lift last night. He had been outside having a quiet smoke. He told me two other men in his Ward had been shouting at the top of their voices all night cursing each other and keeping everyone else awake. I heard another patient a woman shouting at the nurses earlier on. When I got outside to my van a drunk woman and her husband demanded I let her her and her even more drunk husband into the hospital using my Pass. I didn't. But seeing these things all together gave me a chill. Call me superstitious but sometimes you can just feel evil going past. On the other hand twice recently in the early hours I have suddenly smelt the most incredible heavenly perfume from out of nowhere in the air. Such a comfort.
By the way, I am Irish, I don't in the least mind people having more than a few drinks, it's the way they behave when they have had drinks or drugs that spooks me. I don't even mind people being violent, again being Irish, it's irrational violence that spooks me. I have been drinking my entire life and have never once had the inclination to punch anyone on the nose. If I had I would stop drinking. Some people every time they take a drink they want to be nasty or hit someone. Some people they don't need drink to be permanently nasty and attacking other people. even the Doctors and nurses trying to treat them. I would toss them out of the hospital as soon as they started. People are far, far too soft. False Mercy.
live read repeatedly that eventually everyone will get some form of Covid. Additionally, the regular flu is out there. My son tested positive for both and recovered. Older folks may not fair as well.. As is expected. Let’s hope if one has it, they then are done.
It does appear as though this variant is just blowing through the population and no one is protected. Not all cases associated with this new variant are mild. Our local hospital just announced that the majority of inpatient Covid cases were younger people, but they stopped short of admitting that these younger patients were fully vaxxed. Interesting, it's usually the elderly who are at risk for hospitalization due to Covid. It was also announced on our local news that the Covid tests may not be effective for detecting the Omicron variant.
Seagrace, I am expecting groceries delivered today with ginger root. I already have raw honey. I’m going to make some.
