A priest one time asked me to describe Mary but it is impossible. The only way I can put it is if I ever get to heaven it will be enough and more than enough joy for me once every hundred years to see her from a mile away and my heaven will be more than complete. I cannot imagine even in heaven to see her without my heart bursting with joy. I saw her a long time ago in 1981 but every time I recollect it my heart is already in heaven. It seems totally impossible than someone could be so totally gorgeous. One of the visionaries in Medugorje asked her why she was so beautiful. To which she answered, 'I am beautiful because I love!' The perfect question with the perfect answer. We too can be beautiful..if we love.
RTE radio played Pav singing Ave Maria a few weeks back. Judging by the messages read out afterwards it seems the nation paused in awe
I don't know what type of life he led lord have mercy on his soul but it is nice to think that when he came face to face with her son ,she was also there and smiled and said thank you for singing so sweetly about me
The fact that, Our Blessed Mother Mary is the Mother of God Himself, sets her miles apart from all other creatures! So I find it a humbling act on Our Lady's part that she is stressing the holiness of her spouse St Joseph in these times. So much so that she continues to hold Her earthly spouse St Joseph up for veneration! inviting us to recognise, venerate and implore his aid at this time! Why is Our Lady doing this? And why at this time? There must be a reason for this request, maybe extra graces are to be received? As an example....I have been drawn to combine both the Memorares to Our Lady and to St Joseph together as one. I now pray The Memorare as follows... Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary and Glorious St Joseph that never was it known that anyone in any age, who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother and to thee virginal father St Joseph my father. to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, and foster Father of the Word incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen. The original memorares..... The Memorare to Our Lady Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen. Memorare to St. Joseph Remember, O most chaste spouse of the Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who implored your help and sought your intercession were left unassisted. Full of confidence in your power I fly unto you and beg your protection. Despise not O Guardian of the Redeemer my humble supplication, but in your bounty, hear and answer me. Amen. Maybe the reason for this inspiration all comes down to time or lack thereof! However I believe there is a deeper meaning!
Thank you our most holy and caring Mother for inspiring Padraig to create this spiritual refuge of yours and thank you for leading me and all other members here. And thank you, Padraig, for your consent to her, for your countless prayers and for those encouraging words you give to us so often
If anyone is interested ..today is the first day of the Novena to Our Lady of Good Success https://www.ourladyofgoodsuccess.com/pages/9-day-novena-to-our-lady-of-good-success
Today was first time I had been to Holy Mass since January 11th! To receive Our Lord once more- it had seemed like an eternity! But then, Geralyn had brought the Lord home to me in my pix last Sunday. Anyway, back to daily Masses once more!
There seems to be more people going to Mass than ever, at least the Traditional Mass. But at the 1960's mass too the numbers seem to be maintained. This is great. The Mass is a never ending fount of joy. Away again in a moment to the Mass at Clonard Monastery. So long as we have the Mass, we have heaven on Earth.
Bless you and thank you, Padraig, for making and keeping this forum. There are so very few places where we are so at home.
