I'm no expert on when the warning will happen...but my thoughts are: Even if Russia converts, the rest of the world still needs conversion!

I think it would be wonderful, but he's so frail it may not be possible.

I don't think he'll attend in person (not wanting to distract from PF), but we can be assured he will be in his personal chapel -- he and his household -- joining with the consecration.

Let's be clear: Our Mother only said that Russia would convert. She said NOTHING about Russia converting to Roman Catholicism. Russian Orthodox are suspicious of Fatima precisely because they believe this conversion involves embracing the Catholic faith. Considering the huge rates of alcoholism and abortion in Russia, I think just conversion to Christian faith and practices would be marvelous.

There IS a "Russian Greek Catholic Church, Russian Byzantine Catholic Church or simply Russian Catholic Church, ... a sui iuris Byzantine Rite Eastern Catholic jurisdiction of the worldwide Catholic Church." It is tiny within Russia due to suppression by not just government but by the ROC (with the support of Putin), which has proclaimed that the ROC is the ONLY valid expression of Christianity in Russia. This has included official suppression of Baptist and Evangelical missionaries.

I agree with others here that it will take a major disruption of Russian society, government, and culture for the Russian Catholic Church to begin to blossom. As I noted in posts from yesterday, the ROC survives because it has been and continues to be closely bound with whichever government is in power in Moscow. I believe it will take Putin's removal from power, with the simultaneous revelation of some huge scandal involving the hierarchy of the ROC, not necessarily involving Patriarch Kirill personally, but of a level and size that would lead to a popular rejection of the ROC. If such an event would be from G_D, then it would ALSO be accompanied by large numbers of Roman Orthodox Priests rejecting the hierarchs involved in this scandal by seeking union with the Russian Catholic Church, similar to the number of Anglican leaders leaving Anglicanism and "swimming the Tiber" to become Catholic.

This just showed up on the Sensus Fidelium Facebook page. It's a petition to ask Pope Francis to not only consecrate Russia, but also to promulgate the Five First Saturdays requested by Our Blessed Mother at Fatima. Here's a link to the petition:
    https://www.gopetition.com/petition...rst-saturdays-and-collegial-consecration.html

That's something we need to remind people: it's not JUST the consecration of Russia to Our Lady' Immaculate Heart, but also the cooperation of the faithful by following Her request for doing the Five First Saturdays practice.
